Hello and welcome to the aspec characters tournament! This will be my pinned post.
Character masterlist will be here (link) . Round two character list is here (link). Feel free to give me any new character by any means, comment, ask, go ahead, however they will no longer be included in the tournament as round one is complete! Instead they will be added to the aspec character masterlist linked above so anyone can find characters they can relate to at any point during or after the tournament, we celebrate our aspecs!! If you could include details like media of origin and creator that would be great. They can be canon aspec characters or headcanons - just let me know which is which and maybe a line about why you hc them? Can even just be "the vibes" idc. If possible a line from source material supporting canon aspec characters would also be cool!!
The purpose of this is to celebrate aspecs in media and irl, and to spread the word of media containing aspec characters far and wide. Queer stories tend to focus on love a lot, which is valid, but so are our stories, which deserve to be told and recognised as queer stories in their own right. I can count on one hand the number of canon aspec characters I've come across, hence: this blog. Will be kicking off in early June, character submissions close on the 1st.

Propaganda is welcome, anti-propaganda will be blocked on sight I don't care how unrealistic you think someone's hc is. This is about spreading the joy of characters we can relate to, and policing people's joy is a pointless thing to do. Any hatred, aphobia, queerphobia etc wil be blocked.

semi hot take but I side eye a lot people who understand the asexual spectrum and aromantic spectrum but can't seem to wrap their mind around any other anatractional spectrum. You mean you can infer what aromantic means from asexual, but you can't even get the slightest hunch of aplatonic or afamilial or asensual or anaesthetic or [insert any atertiary orientation] ? In general i try to give them the benefit of the doubt but yk it's always aspec people who do that too which. are we serious. Allos I can understand, but when it's an aro/ace people on here, I can only see it as one of two things : 1) that person has made no effort at all to unpack allonormativity or the relationship hierarchy and just slapped an aro sticker above the love/sex part of their identity and called it a day. or 2) that person is actively being hostile to the rest of the aspectrum on purpose.
