Ok how about instead of the crap ending we got for the latest episode, we go a different route...

Sabine had had enough.
Years of having her only child suffer due to the blatant incompetence, negligence, and ineptitude of the faculty of Collège Françoise Dupont. Years of seeing her sweet little girl bullied by the mayor’s daughter and the school refusing to take action against the spoiled girl. Years of having to watch as her daughter’s natural light faded until it was barely a spark.
And finally, FINALLY! Her Marinette regained her light and she started to shine again (no thanks to any of the teachers at the school) only for it to begin to dim once more because, YET AGAIN! the school refused to take action against a child whose parents were in high government positions.
Sabine and Tom hadn’t believed for a second that their daughter had cheated. Marinette hated liars and she hated cheaters, there wasn’t a single fiber in her being that would even allow her to even THINK about doing such a thing. They had seen Marinette studying for over two weeks for that test! The extra late night study sessions, the constant anxiety leading up to said test, and finally her last minute cramming before she rushed off to school that morning.
The principle’s willingness to believe that little liar...
Oh she knew all about that little liar.
After a particularly rough day at school it hadn’t taken long for Marinette to break down in tears and spill everything to her and her husband about a certain new student that wouldn’t be able to tell the truth even if someone paid her. Marinette has spilled how she was slowly being alienated from her friends, how the stress was just piling up, how people (friends she had known for years) weren’t talking to her as much as they believed a liar over her, how her feelings were being trivialized and her concerns brushed aside as mere jealousy, and how she was having a hard time staying positive in order to not be targeted by an akuma.
Sabine didn’t think it was possible to be angrier than she had been that night. As she discussed possible courses of action with her husband she realized that they had no proof that Marinette was being bullied to such a degree, but they trusted and believed their daughter. In the end they decided that they could not pull Marinette out and transfer her in the middle of the school year. That did not mean that she would still be there come the next school year. They had started coming up with a list of other possible schools that very night. One thing was for certain... things could not continue the way that they had been unfolding.
So they had decided to support Marinette as much as they could and kept a close eye on how the school was handling the situation. For a while it seemed that things had tapered off a bit, Marinette wasn’t as stressed and her light was starting to return.
That did not mean the problem was resolved though...
And then they had gotten the call from Domacles and Marinette had been expelled, all based on the word of one girl that had been increasingly antagonizing her. Even though there had been countless instances that other students had done the exact same thing, or worse, and had barely gotten a slap on the wrist for it, Marinette was being punished with barely any proof.
Despite that cheating was completely unlike her and the evidence could have easily been staged to frame her...
That had been the last straw for Sabine.
It had made her and Tom’s decision all that easier.
Marinette would no longer be attending that hellhole, Collège Françoise Dupont.
Even after Marinette’s expulsion had been rescinded, enough was enough.
Sabine would forever treasure the stunned look on the faculty’s faces when she announced that they could take their decision and oh so kindly shove it. She may not have had used those exact words but the meaning had been clear.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng would no longer be attending Dupont effective immediately.
The husband and wife bakers refused to subject their only child to further harassment and abuse at the hands and incompetence of the teachers and principal of this school.
Honestly, the only reason that they had not taken Marinette out years ago was because of the close proximity the school was to their home, making the commute easy for Marinette, and the outstanding reputation the school had. But now they could clearly see HOW the school had maintained such an amazing reputation.
Well... they can keep their reputation but it would not come at the cost of their daughter’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
There were other school that were just as impressive and Sabine had no doubt in her mind (even if Marinette’s self-esteem did) that Marinette would easily find a place at one of them. She was one of the top student in the school, had an impressive resume of community service, and had already won several designing competitions over the years with the biggest one being the Derby Hat competition by Gabriel Agreste. Recommendations would also not be an issue as Marinette had several high profile clientele, such as Nadja Chamuck, Jagged Stone, and Clara Nightingale, just to name a few.
It was only Marinette’s humbleness that prevented her from flaunting just how much success and connections she already had earned, quite an impressive feat for a fourteen-year-old student.
And that was before Sabine and Tom used THEIR connections...
Marinette had been, understandably, upset at the idea of leaving her friends behind and had begged them to let her stay at Dupont, but there was no changing Sabine Cheng and Tom Dupain’s mind on this issue. Marinette’s well-being came first and foremost before her happiness. As much as it pained them to see their little girl upset they could no longer allow for such abuse to continue.
As soon as it was possible Marinette would be attending a new school, even if it was in the middle of the school year.
Until then, Marinette would be helping out in the bakery and independently studying.
Meanwhile, Sabine had a few calls to make.
