so my new brace has been on for slmost the whole time for 4 weeks. i have chronically sprained and rolled my ankle, the proneal (or a tendon/muscle near it) tendon is constantly inflammed and sensitive to the touch.
apparently my ankle decided that brace, which is this one:
apparently it isn’t sufficient enough. it has rolled while in it, and slowly inverting my ankle more every time i walk (when ur foot weight turns outward when using it).
this is my original that worked overall but not active compression for my needs:
i decided to buy another thinner compression sleeve, a size down. so i can put that on by itself or under the corset-brace (as i call it):
and you might be wondering (if anyone cares): “why not go to a doctor or specialist?”
-was told only to do physical therapy somewhere i couldnt get to
-and even was sent to pain management and they said the same thing without any pain management or medication or suggestions
- (and all info online says physical therapy includes actually giving pain management stuff so i was basically brushed off)
im in the medical field and have a vague idea on what is wrong, and im pretty sure id need surgery to fix this issue. it hurts no matter what i do.
-sleep? if its against anything it hurts and is sensitive. its always warm to the touch.
-i stand, try to stretch it? i cant stretch or rotate it fully compared to the ankle with less sprains.
and even if i do surgery or physical therapy i know this isn’t going to go away. its been sprained repeatedly since 2016.
if anyone read this, thanks for reading my rant.
