the riize members show up at the dorm while you’re waiting for your boyfriend anton to return with food. you realize he never told them about you.
sugu81 i accidentally deleted the request instead of hitting answer that’s my bad 😭
…
Anton’s hoodie is warm and familiar on your body. The sleeves pool over your hands and down to your thighs. It smells like him, but it’s not him.
You’d never been the clingy type, but Anton had been gone for nearly an hour to pick up dinner. It was supposed to be twenty minutes until you got a text saying the place was crowded and they weren’t taking orders at the moment.
The RIIZE dorm was a familiar place for you, you’ve been here multiple times with Anton and spent some nights wrapped up in each other in his bed. Though, you’ve never met any of his members before.
Before Anton left, he said they’d likely be back before him, and you can make yourself at home until they do. He apologized profusely about not properly introducing you to his friends, but it wasn’t a huge deal since you pretty much knew everything about them anyways.
So now, making hot chocolate in Anton’s hoodie and a pair of shorts, they arrive back from their day off.
“I’m never bowling with you guys again…” Sungchan mumbles as he slips his shoes off. Sohee laughs and tosses his jacket over the back of the couch. “Yeah, because you suck at it-”
You notice the moment Sohee sees you. The look of terror is evident as his eyes widen and he looks between you and his members like he’s seen a ghost.
Shotaro notices Sohee’s discomfort immediately and looks at you with an almost angry expression. “Who are you?”
Oh.
It becomes more than clear that Anton had never mentioned you to his members, or likely anyone else. Shotaro looks one second away from calling the police or dragging you out by your ear while the others look stunned into silence.
“I- um… I’m Anton’s girlfriend…” Despite it being the truth, it makes you sound like a crazed fan that broke in and stole his hoodie. You wouldn’t even believe yourself if you were one of them.
“I’m gonna call the-“
“Hey guys!” Anton walks in with a bag of takeout and two smoothies which he usually brings as an apology for something.
Most likely an apology for forgetting to tell anyone you existed.
Wonbin is the first to speak. He crosses his arms and stares between you and your boyfriend. “You know her?”
Anton freezes for a moment looking like a deer in the headlights. “Wait I thought I told you guys I had a girlfriend.”
The entire group of boys in the doorway shake their heads simultaneously. Sohees jaw nearly hits the floor. “No? We just thought you were a loser.”
“No, he still is don’t worry.” You correct Sohee to tease Anton. Sohee and Sungchan laugh at your response which eases some of the tension in the room.
Shotaro tries to make sense of things once again while everyone is still in the room. “So, this is your girlfriend? How long have you been together?”
Anton laughs softly as he speaks “eight months. She spends the night sometimes, I just assumed you knew.”
Most of the members look surprised, Wonbin even widens his eyes and mouths ‘eight months?!’ dramatically.
Before anyone else can ask questions, Anton walks across the entranceway to grab your hand. He kisses your temple and starts walking you towards his bedroom.
“Dinners getting cold.”
anton, who loves stealing kisses from you. he can’t help it, you’re just so pretty, he can’t get enough of your kisses. he pecks your lips when you’re making coffee, doing the laundry, doing work on your laptop, or even while you’re gossiping with your best friend on a call. but his favourite time to steal kisses from you is while you’re doing your makeup.
he’s done with the laundry, the dishes, even had the time to sweep the floor. when he walks into the room, you’re still doing your makeup for your date later, blending blush into your skin. he sits beside you on the bed, leaning his head onto your shoulder. anton never rushes you — he loves watching you doll up, and how you’ll do your little twirl with your cute little outfit as he gushes over you.
you’re putting on lipgloss when he steals a kiss, smiling victoriously and leaning back against the headboard without wiping the gloss off. he never does — loves the evidence of kissing you. he also kind of enjoys the taste of your strawberry chapstick.
… until his lips start to sting. anton stares at you, eyes widened, lips slightly plumper. this time, he wipes the gloss off, dramatically wincing in pain. glaring at you when you laugh, reaching over to wipe the lip plumper off. he calms down, pouting.
teasingly (threateningly, in anton’s opinion), you lean in to kiss him, to which he backs away, shaking his head. “no, no — that stings, baby!”
yeah, he’s definitely not going to kiss you with your lip plumper on from now on — perhaps cheek kisses only?

* fishbowl is an actual fishbowl glass with an alcohol mix in it.
after a stressful finals week—the most grueling one yet, according to your entire friend group, everyone decided to blow off steam at this one famous small bar near the university.
however, you don't feel like going as you need to get some sleep. you haven't slept since yesterday, and having powered through a marathon of a final exam and a capstone presentation. you wanted sleep more than anything else.
but everyone was going, and you're already standing in the middle of a sea of dancing bodies in a cramped, box-like bar with flickering red lights.
your friends had already polished off two fishbowls, and despite your exhaustion, you found yourself leaning into the chaos. still, your legs were heavy from standing, and you kept giggling along with the group while occasionally bumping into unfamiliar bodies. you envy the reserved tables at the far corner of this tiny bar.
when a girl was pulled away from a stool next to you by some guy, you didn't hesitate to claim it. "hey, shotaro is inviting us to hop on a different bar." your friend whispered, suggesting also it was the bar nearby. cons: there are more locals than students.
you shook your head, "the set's better here." pouting towards where the dj was. your friend nooded in agreement.
then, you were pulled you out from the stool as the dj started to hype the crowd. she even rushingly told the bartender for a fishbowl again before moving towards where the fun was.
trying to navigate back to the rest of the group, you collided with a solid figure. he moved with a swift, fluid motion to face you. the guy just slightly bowed his head, as seen from your blurry peripheral vision. you squinted your eyes, already tipsy and polite that you also mirrored his apologetic gesture.
after fifteen minutes of solid dancing to the set, your friends rushed back to the counter to reclaim the fishbowl that's almost forgotten.
they cheered as the third bowl of the night was slid across the wood. you claimed the green straw—the one with the little curl at the top. everyone leaned in at once, all your heads were panning down and sipping on the bowl, making you almost choke on the shared drink.
the guy to your left, sitting calmly on a stool and eating a full rice meal. seriously? still, he got the cue. he handed you a stack of tissues from the dispenser near his plate.
your tipsy state looked down on his plate as you accepted the tissues. you knitted your brows, not in judgment, but in pure, unadulterated confusion.
"oh. i'm drinking. i just need to eat first." he said defensively, noticing your stare. he was clearly in the middle of a mouthful, but still sounded composed.
then, you looked up to where the voice came from. is it the alcohol or he looks actually majestic?
his hair was messy, fluffy to be exact, under that quirky cap that says 'LONELY BOY' he was wearing. his shoulders were incredibly broad, filling out his dark long sleeve in a way that made you lose your train of thought. he looked grounded, calm, and—honestly—way too handsome to be tucked away in a corner of a bar.
at least, he looked friendlier than the guys who shared glances with you tonight. you gave him a friendly, slightly dazed smile and turned back to your friends, who were still preoccupied with the maroon liquid in the bowl.
you knew right then you're going to think of him the rest of night.
"what was that?" your friend asked you, eyeing him.
"he's hot," your other friend added bluntly. you just scoffed.
you grabbed your straw again. "ask for his insta then."
"oh. i will. for you." she smirked, nudging you. "i saw how he looked at you until you walked back here."
you rolled your eyes as you take a long sip. "a guy with a face like that is definitely not single."
"did you even see a girl next to him, though?" your friend countered, giving a playful shrug of her shoulder.
you didn't respond anymore, but deep down, you were hoping. he just looked so out of league for a place like this.
anton definitely didn't want to be here.
it was a busy bar on the least places he'd want to be stuck in. he was naturally more of a chill drinker. he'd prefer to sit down in a quieter setting with a cold glass of beer in hand partnered with deep conversations about anything.
but tonight, he was dragged by his teammates and not his close friends. he had no choice and after protesting multiple times, he’d eventually given in.
"inconvenience is the cost of community," one of his teammates joked before shoving anton to the crowd near the dj.
it was during that push into the fray that he felt someone thud against his back. he turned quickly, and found you who looked like floating in a dream state while clinging to your friend.
you were small compared to him, squinting up at him with a dazed expression. he bowed his head instinctively as a silent apology. your tipsy yet polite state mirrored his gesture. as you disappeared back into the crowd, anton found his eyes trailing after you. thanks to his tall figure, he can easily spot you headbobbing with your friends through the red haze.
anton found himself watching you longer than he intended.
he hasn't drunk anything yet, nor did a pre-game in his dorm. still, at places like this, anton was disciplined. when he saw a stool open up at the counter, he moved for it immediately. ordering a rice meal was definitely normal, and he needed it before fueling any kind of alcohol in his system.
anton was halfway through his meal when he felt a presence to his left. it was you again. you were leaning in with a group, all huddled over the bar's infamous fishbowl like it was a drinking fountain. when you started coughing, he automatically just grabbed the tissue dispenser near his plate because you were definitely looking around for it as you fight for your life.
when you grabbed the tissues from his offering hand, he noticed that you were looking at his plate with a comical confusion that he felt the need to explain himself. "oh. i'm drinking. i just need to eat first," he mumbled through a bite of food.
when you finally looked up at him, anton felt a weird skip in his heart. you gave him this small, friendly smile, enough to cause his world to slightly stop from spinning.
he can only watch your back face to your friends once again, his fork hovering mid-air unnoticed.
the night had just started. one of your friends had finally received her grades for a major subject during that exact moment, and in her excitement, she decided to treat the entire group to two rounds of tequila shots.
after throwing those shots back raw, the bar started to feel suffocatingly hot. the tequila hit you like a freight train.
you planted a drunk kiss on your friend’s cheek, murmuring that you were heading outside to breathe. your head was also starting to throb to the consequence of mindlessly taking those shots.
stumbling slightly you head toward the small exit for a breath of air. the outside dining area a contrast to the happenings inside. it was filled with people calmly drinking to avoid the party, some were smoking, and a few waiting at the sidewalk.
that’s when you saw him again. you find the same guy from earlier leaning against the brick wall, cap pulled low. he seems like he's acting so mysterious but also looks like he's finally enjoying the quiet.
you sank down onto the low stairs, dropping your head into your hands. good lord, tomorrow’s hangover is going to be biblical.
as you massage your forehead, you felt a gaze burning into your side, so you looked up. you lock eyes with the same guy.
you weren't sure if you were drunk to the very brim of your existence or if he was actually walking towards you.
he actually sat down next to you. "too much?" he asks, gesturing to the muffled bass thumping through the walls.
you peeked at him through your fingers. "you're too much close to me right now."
he instinctively recoiled himself. "sorry, i- i didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. i noticed you were-"
his stammering was cut off by your sudden chuckle. "it's fine," then you introduced yourself.
"oh. right. okay. hello, i'm anton. from the swimming team." he slowly scratched his nape. you found it adorable that he has a shy, meeping smile.
"you're not enjoying the night, anton?" you started.
"i actually am. just not a fan of this kind of fun today."
you let out a tiny laugh to what he just said. "well, your cap says lonely boy."
"i mean, it is fun," anton countered softly. "but i get overstimulated easily. i just ran out of social battery." you noticed his voice was just naturally soft-spoken, as your 7th sense trying to drown out the noise from the walls to hear him better.
still, you smiled at him, not giving a damn about your headache.
"i don't want to overstep, but you look a little pale. i mean...not that you don't look good! you do but... yeah." anton stammered until he saw you playfully rolling your eyes.
you end up talking for thirty minutes in the cool air, anton would occasionally wave his palms around to clear the air whenever smoke drifted near you. you both reached the conclusion that you actually hated the party scene and only showed up for your friends.
you were almost sober from all the topics and giggles you have shared with anton. then, you excused yourself signaling that you needed to go back inside. anton looked up at you, but then he stood up even quicker than you did, moving instinctively to assist you.
"do you want me to walk you in? it's pretty rowdy by the door," he asked, voiced laced with consent. your friends are definitely going to kill you. or maybe his situationship (if he has one) will kill you.
"only if you're okay with that." you didn't give him any other signs of responses other than letting him, and went inside.
still, anton wanted to check on you and make sure you made it safely to the restroom on the far side of the bar.
when you were finally done, anton was waiting outside the archway to where the restroom leads. "hey. come with me." and gently guided you through the crowd toward the counter, helping you onto the stool like the gentleman you'd figured he was.
anton handed you a glass of water. you drank it while looking at him softly. he was also watching you, but the longer the silence stretched, the more he had to look away, a faint blush creeping up.
he stood beside you, his long arms resting at the counter, as he leaned down a few inches to be closer to your level.
"feeling better?" anton whispered, the quirk of his lips suggesting he was enjoying your company.
anton noticed you mirrored his smile as you nod in response. "the swimming team might be missing their homeboy though."
he shrugged, not knowing what to say. "i think i'm exactly where i'm supposed to be."
you looked at him, his eyes already crinkling. despite the dark red lights smothering the room, you could see how round and brown his eyes were. there was so much warmth in the shared silence, even in the state of being enveloped by all kinds of noise.
for the first time since anton had been dragged out of his dorm, he wasn't looking at his watch to calculate how many hours of sleep he’d get before the 5 am training.
"you're staring too much," you teased, a playful, sleepy tilt to your head. you're not even sure if you were really lucky to be in this state with a man looking like this.
his small, lopsided smile showed up. "i am actually just staring back." and raised his eyebrows.
"done." you rested the empty glass on the counter, prompting anton to finally relax his posture.
anton felt a sudden heat rush to his ears, and he was thankful for the dim lighting. he was already overthinking the end of the night. his teammates were likely looking for him, and your friends were probably wondering where you’d disappeared to as well.
he wasn't usually the type to initiate anything, but something about the way you'd laughed and observed your surroundings made his chest tighten. he wasn't going to let this encounter become just another distant memory.
you began looking around for any sign of your friends, your fingers gripping the edge of the stool for support. his arm brushed yours on the counter, and you suddenly felt a wave of awkwardness, unsure of how to proceed. you knew you'd regret it the moment you walked out that door if you just left things like this.
you felt him shift beside you. "hey," he said, his voice dropping an octave to cut through a sudden surge in the music. "i’m probably going to have to find my team soon."
you swore your heart froze for a second as he paused. "but i'd really like to get to know you more," he continued. "maybe i could hear more about why you hate that one professor? mostly because i have him next semester. a conversation over coffee sounds nice. would that be okay?"
you stared at him for a few seconds before blurting out a chuckle. "you didn't have to say all of that, anton. you could've just asked for my socials. i wouldn't have hesitated."
anton looked visibly relieved. after you both exchanged handles, you finally spotted your friends waving from a distance.
"it was nice meeting you," anton said, helping you steady yourself as you stood up.
"likewise," you responded, looking up at him with a sweet, tired smile. anton could've sworn his knees weakened at the sight of you.
"tell me when you get home later. if you’re still capable of messaging, that is," he added. he clearly didn't want the night to end, but anton really did need to track down his teammates before they left without him.
"oh, i will. i need to send this gentleman a goodnight text before he has a chance to forget about me," you teased.
anton let out a laugh, his eyes crinkling once again. in the hazy red light, he looked perfect. sooooo perfect.
just as you were about to turn away, anton reached up and pulled the quirky cap from his head. before you could protest, he tucked your messy hair behind your ear and placed the cap firmly on your head, tilting the brim down.
"keep it," he said, his voice low and playful. "now you have a reason to see me again."
you adjusted the cap, the scent of his perfume hitting you instantly. "is this your way of marking your territory, lonely boy?"
"maybe," he grinned, stepping back into the crowd.
you couldn't imagine what would have happened if you had actually refused to come tonight. or if you decided to leave the confines of these four walls just to bar-hop. because then, you never would have had the chance of meeting anton.
all i know is we said hello, and your eyes look like coming home

friends to lovers, angst, eventual fluff, mutual pining, Anton is kinda stupid whoops
synopsis: after years of loving her best friend, YN just can’t take another heartbreak from him. Anton soon realizes that he feels more for his friend than he initially thought.
౨ৎ⋆ ˚。⋆౨ৎ⋆ ˚。⋆౨ৎ⋆ ˚。⋆
There was something so heart pounding about falling for your best friend. The moment you feel the butterflies, you know you’re in for trouble. Reading into the smallest actions, wondering what everything means.
But there’s something so heartbreaking when they don’t feel the same.
YN met Anton when she was eight. They were playing at the same playground, and YN had gotten her stuffed cat stolen by some older kids. Naturally, the girl Cried. Maybe ten minutes later, someone tapped on her shoulder. She looked up, big eyes glossy and red with tears, and saw a boy standing above her, holding her plushie. She looked up at him, lip quivering, taking her plushie. He had gotten it back for her. She got to her feet and threw her arms around the boy, sobbing out her thanks as she hugged him tightly.
From that day forward, the two were inseparable, two best friends, their bond went beyond the playground and a plushie. The two balanced each other out, Anton’s quiet nature paired with YN’s energy made the two the perfect pair. They were each other’s missing half.
They grew up together, having playdates and sleepovers, getting to know the other through their years together. They went through their firsts together, played at recess together everyday and walked home together after each day of school. The two were as close as they could be, joined at the hip since that fateful day at the playground.
At some point, YN’s feelings grew as both of them grew up. She realized how happy she was when anton was around, how her cheeks would warm when he’d look her way, how handsome he looked when he wasn’t even trying.
YN realized she liked anton in 7th Grade. Middle school hormones running wild, she still liked him. So when she was in eighth grade, she told him.
“Anton,” she took in a breath. “I like you, a lot,” She stuttered but Continued. “I don’t want to lose what we have, but I can’t pretend I don’t feel anything for you,”
And that same day, YN experienced her first Heartbreak.
“I don;t feel the same, I’m sorry.” He apologized and watched his friend look down. “But I do care about you. We can still be friends, right?”
YN gulped back tears that threatened to spill and agreed, letting Anton walk her home before letting her tears fall. She said a brief goodbye, and practically rushed up the stairs into her room, sobbing until her parents called her down for dinner. Regardless of what Anton wanted, she knew things would never be the same. But for his sake, she’d pretend to be okay.
It had been for years.
Their friendship continued, and though YN tried letting her feelings go, she found she was still head over heels for her best friend. Yet he never felt the same, never looked her way. There were times she thought he may feel the same as she did, but just when her hopes got up, he shut them down.
When he had another girlfriend, or had his heart broken, he went to her. He’d hold her close when he needed comfort, let all his emotions go in her arms. But when he got over the heartbreak, and found a new girlfriend, he’d shut her out. Dry responses, rare hangouts, and walks home filled with silence.
When he would finally hang out with her, he’d tell her how much he loved the girl he was seeing. Or he’d cry about hw heartbroken he was that his relationship ended. She was the one he went to, the one he trusted enough to be vulnerable with.
But YN didn’t know how many more girls she could hear about without crying. How many more times could she listen to Anton profess his love for another girl he’d break up with in a couple months? How many more of his heartbreaks could she listen to him lament.
One day, the two of them were sitting in Anton’s room, YN laying back on his pillows while Anton sat on the foot of his bed, texting someone. They’d been sitting in silence for a good ten minutes. YN was beginning to feel fed up, being invited over to sit in silence.
“Did you invite me over just to text your girlfriend the whole time?” YN asked. She hadn’t been around Anton much since he made it official with his new girlfriend, wanting to respect their relationship. But Anton insisted he come over this weekend, saying he wanted to spend time with her.
Anton blinked and then scooted to lay next to her. He wrapped his arms around her, hands resting on the skin of her waist while his head laid on her chest. YN hated how much comfort she got from this. She knew he shouldn’t be that close.
“Toni, you can’t do this. You have a girlfriend,” she reminded him, ruffling his hair lightly.
Anton hummed for a moment. “We broke up,” he mumbled, arms tight around her waist, breathing in deeply.
There it was. YN went still. SHe moved her hand from his hair, sighing as she laid flat on his bed, going silent in response to what Anton just said.
“What’s wrong?” anton asked, letting go of her and propping himself up to look at her. He saw her expression, unreadable, foreign to anything he’d seen from her before. He usually could read YN like a book, she was his best friend, he could tell what she was thinking. But at that moment, he was lost.
“Nothing,” YN sighed and sat up, pushing her hair out of her face. She didn’t look at him, fiddling with the hem of her shirt instead.
“Doesn’t seem like nothing,” Anton pressed. “Come on, just tell me,”
Yn turned to him, debating her words. Though part other wanted to salvage the relationship she knew would probably end eventually, the stronger part wanted to finally say her mind.
“How many times are you going to come to me about your heartbreaks?” she asked, voice quiet.
Anton looked at her, confused. “What do you mean?” he tilted his head, not knowing where this was suddenly coming from.
“I mean that’s all I’ve been good for,” she sighed. “You get a new girlfriend you ignore me for a few months until you break up and need someone to cry to. You just come around when you need comfort,”
“No, I don’t,” Anton sat up. “It’s not like that, YN,”
“Then what is it like?” she asked. “You only come around when you need me to comfort you, or when you find another girl, and you just have to tell me about how much you like her and how you just get butterflies thinking about her!”
“As my best friend, you should be happy for me! You should listen to my feelings, you should be there when I need you!” Anton scoffed, feeling defensive of his actions. There was no way she could be serious.
“Yeah and as someone who’s been in love with you since seventh grade, I don’t want to hear you talk about how much you love another girl, how you found your new soulmate, blah blah blah. I don’t want to hear you talk about how much your heart hurts when you broke mine!”
There was silence. YN didn’t register her words until anton spoke.
“You’re in love with me?” he asked and YN stood up, needing to leave.
“I’m gonna go home,” SHe muttered stumbling a bit as she grabbed her hoodie, quickly putting it on.
“YN, no, wait, let’s talk, please,” Anton got up, walking towards the door to stop her from leaving.
“There’s nothing to talk about,” YN muttered, voice heavy, tears falling before she could stop them. “Please get out of my way, anton,” she didn’t dare look up at him.
“No, yn please, talk to me-” he felt her push past him, hurrying downstairs to get her shows on. He followed hopelessly. “Please, come on, just talk to me!”
He heard the slam shut, and ran to the window, watching as his best friend stormed away.
He texted her for the whole week after, blowing up her phone with texts asking to please talk, missed calls and voicemails of him saying he missed her and wanted to talk things out. He even emailed her a few times for good measure, but got no response.
A week later she finally answered his texts. They agreed to meet at a park- the park they first met at. Anton was nervous. What would he say to her? What would she say to him? How were they going to recover from this?
She sat on the swingset, hair loose around her shoulders, feet dragging against the mulch. He called her name as he approached, and watched as she looked up at him. She stood up, and he could tell the breath she took in was shaky.
“I’m sorry for getting upset,” she said first. “I was frustrated.” her voice was soft, almost inaudible.
“I’m sorry for making you feel like you weren’t important to me. It was shitty for me to use you.” Anton admitted. “I want you to know, I really value our friendship, you mean the world to me,” he gave her a gentle smile.
YN felt her heart shatter, his words crumbling the little hope she had left. There was silence between them, anton looked down at her. YN knew what was about to happen.
“Just get it over with,” she looked past him, breathing deeply.
Anton bit his lip. “I’m sorry, I just… don’t feel that for you,” he told her. “But I want us to be friends- i’ll be better I swear, nothing will change between us-”
“No.”
“What?”
“I don’t want to do this anymore,” YN had tears in her eyes. “I tried, anton, I really tried, but I just can’t,”
Anton shook his head softly. “No, YN, please,” He took her hands in his, kneeling down to try and get her to look at him. “Don’t do this, you’re my best friend,”
YN pulled her hands away, shaking her head. “It’s not fair to either of us,” she wiped her tears with her sleeve. “I’m sorry-“
Anton grabbed her arm to stop her from leaving again. He wrapped his arms around her, not wanting to let her go.
“Please YN we can figure it out, don’t-“
“Let go of me Anton,” she said through her tears.
He pulled away slightly, holding her face in his palms, eyes pleading her to stay. She brought up her shaky hands and pulled his away.
“Let me go, Anton,” her tears ran down her cheeks, stepping back away from Anton before turning around, and went away, not looking back as Anton stood there, tears in his eyes, waiting for her to come back.
A month passed and Anton held onto the hope his best friend would come back. In the halls he’d wait near her locker, trail behind her in hopes she’d turn around and see him. But she never did.
She was absent for a week after their last meeting. When she came back, Anton felt like she never saw him. She looked past him when he was nearby while his eyes would linger on her. She’d ignore his many texts and calls. When he’d try and talk to her after class, she’d just brush past him before he could get a word in. It was like she forgot him.
One day, he saw her with seunghan, walking down the halls happily. He watched her laugh at his jokes, and saw the bright smile on her face that he hadn’t seen in what felt like forever. The smile he would do anything to see again. The smile she used to give him everyday, that was now being made at seunghan and not him. He felt something pang inside him.
He felt… jealous? There was no way he was jealous. Maybe a little. Maybe he just missed her. That could justify why he felt this way, why he wanted so desperately to whisk her away and hold her close once more, bring her back to him, be the girl he always knew.
Anton sat with his friends, poking at his food while staring across the room at YN, who was eating with seunghan, laughing like they used to when they were together. His friends noticed his demeanor, how his gaze was fixed across the room at YN, how his brows furrowed more and more as she and seunghan got closer.
“Anton,” Sohee called his name and snapped Anton out of his daze. He looked over at the older boy. “You good?”
“Yeah,” Anton looked down. “Just thinking” his gaze went back up to YN, looking happier than she looked in a while. Anton hated it.
Probably the worst thing about this was how close the two lived. They grew up in the same neighborhood, lived a few blocks away. Anton would always walk YN home, sometimes coming inside for a snack or staying for dinner. Now they always walked an awkward distance apart, silence thick between them.
His friends went home with him, they agreed to play some video games before, and just wanted to hang out with Anton, who had seemed out of it for a long while. Anton had one earbud in, listening to his friends ramble. He noticed YN wasn’t in front of him as usual, and began wondering where she was.
Anton realized how his friends went quiet, and then heard her laugh. The sweet laugh he loved so much. He turned, and saw her walking with seunghan, who carried her bag for her. He’d normally look away, resign to their broken friendship, but this time he couldn’t, not bothering to hide his gaze as she passed.
He felt it again. That feeling in his chest boiling up as she and seunghan walked ahead of him and his group. He felt his jaw tighten, clenching his teeth together and watched as Seunghan walked YN to her door, ruffling her hair lightly before bidding her goodbye.
When they got to his house, Anton slumped onto the couch, resting against the cushions, not knowing what to do with this odd feeling. Even as his friends began playing their games, relaxing and having fun, anton felt his heart pang against his chest, a pain erupting from the part of him that couldn’t let YN go.
“Anton?”
“Yeah?”
“You look pretty out of it. You okay?” Wonbin asked, head hanging off the couch.
There was a beat of silence before anton answered.
“I don’t like that seunghan guy,” anton sighed. He didn’t know why, he had no reasonable reason.
“Why? He’s actually really nice,” sohee told him, confused why anton didn’t like the boy.
“I just get a bad vibe from him,” anton explained, not noticing the looks his friends gave each other. They knew his reasoning was bullshit, so it was time they point it out to him.
“Or Do you just not like that he’s been hanging out with YN a lot?” Sohee asked, and watched as anton’s ears grew red, jaw dropping slightly, trying to laugh off the accusation.
“What? No! Maybe a little but-” he paused, putting his head in his palms as he sighed. “Why did she have to leave me?”
“It wasn’t good for her to stay,” Sohee shrugged. “She was valid in her feelings, you know,”
“Yeah, but i wanted to fix things. We shouldn’t have ended things like that, we should still be friends,” Anton thought of the last time they spoke, how she left before he could beg her to stay.
“I think you’ll just need to let go,” Wonbin suggested gently.
“I don’t want to let go,” Anton shook his head like a petulant child. “SHe’s my best friend, i can’t lose her, I can’t let her go,”
“Anton-”
“And now there’s another guy with her, who’s in the place I used to be. He’s with my best friend, laughing and getting close with MY YN, while i’m here wishing she’d come back!” anton was flustered as he spoke, his friends coming to a realization he hadn’t come to himself.
“Anton, do you like-like YN?” sungchan asked and Anton furrowed his brows.
“No! I’m just… upset because she’s my best friend and now I've been replaced with some guy!” he tried to explain, cheeks getting slightly pink at the thought.
“Oh you’re in love with her!” Sohee laughed, and Anton shook his head frantically.
“No I’m not! If I was, we wouldn’t be having this problem. I’m just upset, okay?” He got defensive, trying to brush off Sohee’s words.
“No, Anton, you really like her. And you’re jealous that she moved on and you’re still hung up on her,” Sohee raised his eyebrows, trying to convince Anton of his own feelings.
“Oh my god, no, I'm not in love with her! Of course I’m upset about this, I’ve known her for ten years. It’s nothing more than that, so drop it!” Anton raised his voice more than intended. Sohee only smirked at the younger.
“Okay anton, just let me know when you figure it out,” he sighed.
The rest of their visit, Anton sat in silence, mulling over everything in his mind. When his friends left, he went to his room to stare up at the ceiling. He replayed every word Sohee said. He remembered YN’s words when she ended their friendship. His head began spinning.
He remembered the day they met, her big eyes looking up at him, how he ignored the butterflies when she threw her arms around him, how he savored the scent of her shampoo. That was the first time he felt it, the first time something in his heart panged.
He remembered the day she first confessed, how her cheeks got pink and voice shook a bit. He always tried to ignore how his mind raced with the idea of them being more than friends. Anton never would admit to himself how he wanted to say yes, to be her lame middle school boyfriend.
He remembered her most recent confession, how his heart panged once more. She took him by surprise, made his head swirl with his past childish thoughts how after she left he weighed all possible answers, everything he could say to make her stay.
He thought about his words the last time they spoke, how he was so sure he felt nothing romantic for his best friend, though now his resolve was breaking.
He remembered all the times she’d hold him, how warm her embrace was, and how she’d play with his hair while he breathed her in. he remembered the times they’d stay up too late laughing about stupid things, how she’d do his skincare and make him wear a fluffy hello kitty headband to match hers. He remembered how pretty she looked all the time, how there would eb times he genuinely couldn’t think straight when she was with him.
Then it hit him. Sohee was right, Anton was jealous, because the girl he denied his love for was now gone, and with another man. He now let himself admit what he’d been suppressing, what he was so scared would ruin their friendship. He had been in love with YN since they were little kids, since the moment she hugged him.
He would do anything to get her back.
The next week, anton tried everything to get her back. He would wait by her locker, sat next to her in classes, bought her chocolate milk and left it on her lunch table with a note on it.
Each time, she’d ignore his advances. Seunghan would come to her locker with her, reaching for what she needed before handing it over to her, YN never had to look at him. In class she’d scoot further away from anton and crumple up the notes he’d slide over to her, and ignore when he’d poke her arm. When he left chocolate milk for her, she’d rip off the note, crumple it up and throw it away, and give the drink to another friend.
Anton still refused to give up. He knew he’d have to step it up.
The rain pounded against the window, YN sat on her bed, listening to the storm outside. She was coming to peace with what was going on, though she couldn’t deny her heart still pounded when she thought about her time with Anton. She did her best to ignore the boy who stole her heart, but it got increasingly difficult when he was annoyingly persistent.
She heard a light knock at her door and furrowed her brows, standing up and opening the door to see who it was. There he stood, tall figure looking down at her, hair soaked from rain, and a bouquet of flowers in his hands. She stood in silence, trying to process the sight in front of her.
“What are you doing here?” She asked, looking up at him while trying to keep her
emotions in order.
“I uh, wanted to talk,” He cleared his throat, pushing the bouquet forward a little more.
YN just sighed. “What part of not wanting to talk do you not get?” she asked, propping the door open a bit more, walking back in and grabbing a towel. Anton took this as a silent affirmation to walk in.
He took the towel and dried off his hair, sitting down on the bed while YN sat on her desk, studying him. Her heart pounded as she looked at him, she tried to ignore it, push down how much she wanted to just throw her arms around him. She couldn’t, not after what they went through. She had to be strong.
“Are you here to talk, or just sit on my bed in silence?” She asked, frowning a little. “If you’re not gonna say anything to me then just go home-”
“I’m in love with you,” Anton blurted out.
YN went still. She felt her heart pounding even harder, felt the heat rush to her cheeks as she attempted to process his words.
“What?”
“I’m in love with you, YN, and it’s driving me insane,” he sighed, looking up at her hopefully.
She shook her head. “No,”
“No?”
“You don’t get to do that, you don’t get to pull the ‘i love you’ card. Not now, not after everything.” She looked down at the ground.
Anton stood up from her bed. “I know,” he whispered, taking a step toward her. “I’m sorry, I should’ve told you sooner, i shouldn’t have pushed you away,”
YN didn’t respond and Anton took another step towards her. He pushed a strand of her hair away from her face, gently bringing his hand to tilt her head up to face him. He looked at her for a moment, fingers playing with her hair idly before speaking again.
“I think I was scared,” He sighed. “I got caught up in the What-ifs of what would happen if something went wrong. I didn’t want to lose what we had, and I ended up losing you anyway. I realized I loved you too late. I never meant to hurt you, I swear,”
YN folded her arms, moving her head out of his grip. “You can’t justify using me for your comfort, anton,” She reminded him, and Anton nodded.
“I know, I was selfish, and wrong, and I’m so sorry,” He apologized once more, moving her cheek lightly to get her to look at him again. She slipped away from him, pushing his chest lightly as she went to sit on her bed. Anton followed, crouching down, eyes begging for her to look at him. “Let me make this right,” he gently held her hand. “I’ll do anything to get you back, please, don’t shut me out,”
YN Scoffed a bit, trying to look away, but he brought her back to look at him once more, eyes pleading as they looked into hers. She sighed, shaking her head a bit.
“How could I trust you?” Her voice shook. “How do I know I won’t regret letting you back in? How will I know you won’t break my heart again?” anton saw tears well in her eyes, and he moved to sit on the bed. He took her hands gently, moving so they’d face each other as they sat.
“Because now I know I was wrong, and I won’t let that happen to us again,” He brushed his thumb against her knuckles gently. “I swear,”
He didn’t get a response, and when YN looked down at her lap, he decided he’d let her. And he would just speak his mind.
“I’m so in love with you,” he laughed a bit, and YN glanced up. “And it’s driving me crazy. I fucked up, and I can’t stop regretting what happened, I can’t stop wanting to make things right. I can’t stop wanting you,”
YN looked at him, resolve slowly breaking as his eyes stared into hers. Every emotion she tried to keep down was rising through her system. She felt warm, unable to ignore the effect anton had on her, his words being all she ever wanted to hear him say. There was silence between them, something unspoken.
She felt him brush her hair behind her ear and brought in a quiet breath, watching as he gazed softly at her. He began to lean towards her, slowly, giving her the time to push him away. But she stayed still. So he continued. Their noses brushed against each other, lightly grazing each others skin as YN let out the breath she was holding in. Then she felt his lips press against hers, soft, gentle, as if anything more could break them.
Their kiss was quick, both of them pulling away to take in breaths through their shock. When Anton saw YN’s expression, he wasted no time, pulling her back in closer. YN’s hands rested on his chest as Anton deepen the kiss, shifting more towards her, pulling her in more and resting one hand on her waist, the other in her hair. YN pulled him in more, one arm resting around his neck as she kissed him, letting go of whatever was holding her back.
“Let me take you on a date,” He muttered between kisses, hands massaging her skin. “Let me try again,”
“Okay,” YN agreed with a smile, feeling his lips trail across her skin, kissing her jaw too. “But we should still talk more about-” her thoughts trailed off as they continued kissing.
Anton grinned. “Tomorrow,” he just wanted to enjoy the moment. And to kiss her more. “I tried to be all romantic, you know,” he pressed a kiss to her neck. “My mom even helped me pick out flowers,” he moved up to her lips. “I was prepared to get on my knees and beg,”
YN pulled away, laughing at the thought of the tall boy on his knees begging for forgiveness. She looked at him, his shoulders heaving, trying to catch his breath, hair messy. She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him to lay on her bed with her, anton quickly moved his arms around her, resting his cheek on her head.
“You should stay,” YN requested. “I missed you more than I let on,”
“Oh thank god,” Anton grinned. “I was worried you actually hated my guts,”
“I tried my hardest,” she smiled up at him.
The two Spent their time together snuggled up close, anton not willing to let her go further than an arms length away. They fell into a peaceful sleep, together at last, no regrets to keep them awake any longer.

the next week, they walked around school together, holding hands and smiling, back to a new normal. Anton didn’t have to tell his friends anything, they figured it out.
sohee and seunghan watched them from their table, laughing about everything. Unbeknownst to Anton and YN, they had a little bet that they’d be back together. Sohee actually never thought it would happen, but seunghan knew better.
“Ten dollars,” seunghan held out his hand.
“yeah yeah, whatever,” sohee grumbled defeated. Why did he have to be so good at using common sense?

LETS GOOOO ANTON ONESHOT!!! Lmk if u wanna be added to my new taglist!!! You’ll get to know all I do going forward!!
Leaning against the kitchen counter, you slowly pushed the grape through your lips, your eyes never leaving the boy.
"You cheated, Anton!", you heard your brother yell, pushing said boy aggressively.
"Admit it, you're just shit at this game. Quit being a sore loser, Sungchan.", Anton snorted, as you heard Sungchan demand for a rematch.
Did you feel like a creep, watching him play Mario Kart with your brother in the living room?
No.
Not really.
What did you really have to be ashamed of? It's not like he knew you were doing so. Besides, could anyone really blame you? You couldn't take your eyes off his arms, not when his veins deliciously showed up everytime he gripped the controller tight. You just couldn't help but wonder how his veiny hands would feel against your throat.
You've never really spoken to Anton, despite him being at your home literally 24/7 due to his friendship with your brother. He was also somehow in majority of your classes, given the fact you were the same age, yet you sat on completely different sides of the class and shared completely different friendship circles. There was nothing for the two of you to speak about, nor did you have anything in common, an unsettling awkwardness lingering between you every time you were left alone. You just found no reason to talk to him.
That, however, didn't stop your hand from burying itself between your thighs every other night, wishing your fingers were his.
You didn't know what it was about him that had you pressing your thighs together, even with the mere mention of his name. Maybe it was his soft, yet deep voice, wondering how he'd sound whimpering and moaning into your ears, or maybe it was his athletic build that you often caught yourself sneaking glances at whenever he played basketball with your brother, wondering what it'd be like to leave your marks all over him. Or was it simply the thrill of wanting someone off-limits that had you so excited? Finally finding something you couldn't have, after years of everything being just handed to you, receiving princess treatment from your whole family your whole life. You just didn't know.
"Earth to Y/N.", Sungchan waved his hand in front of your face, trying to catch your attention, before walking past you to grab a bag of chips from the pantry.
"Huh?", you muttered, shaking your thoughts away.
"I said what do you want for dinner? Mom said she's working overtime, so we should just order food.", Sungchan explained, as Anton awkwardly leaned against the pantry door, waiting for your brother to be done.
"Oh, just order for yourselves.", You brushed off, causing him to snap his head towards you.
"Why? Aren't you eating? Are you dieting again? I told you, you don't need to diet. You're perfect just the way you are. Wait, are you sick? Are you not feeling well?", Sungchan rushed, making his way towards you, placing his hand on our forehead to check your temperature. Your eyes flickered towards Anton, his eyes looking everywhere but you, as you let out a groan of embarrassment, hating how overprotective your brother was of you.
"Chill. I'm fine.", you swatted his hands away, "I have a date.", you shrugged, ignoring how steam came out of Sungchan's ears at the mention of a date.
You also tried to ignore how Anton's eyes snap towards you, noticing it from the corner of your eyes, trying to convincing yourself not to get your hopes high, as it was just another one of your delusions.
"Are you serious? A date this late? You wish.", Sungchan scoffed, glaring at you, "You're not going."
"But it's-"
"I said, you're not going.", Sungchan sternly pointed, as you stomped your foot onto his, making him yelp in pain.
"But mom-"
"Mom would've said no, too! It's literally 7:30pm, and your curfew is 8, so when do you think this date's happening? Because it's certainly not happening after that.", He continued, cutting you off, as you let out a loud groan, hating how stubborn he was.
"You're literally so annoying, maybe if you let me spe-", you huffed, before you were cut off by his phone ringing. He gave you a pointed look, letting you know the conversation was over, as he left to his room to take his call.
You let out a shriek of frustration, shoving multiple grapes in your mouth, grumbling about how annoying your brother was.
"A date?", you heard someone ask, as you choke on the grapes, forgetting the extra presence. Your face grew warm, embarrassed by the fact he had just witnessed your small disagreement with your brother.
"Yeah. What about it?", you mumbled, leaning onto the counter to grab some more grapes, looking towards him.
Your eyes widened slightly, noticing a different look on his face, completely different to the warm, bright smile he always had on. His jaw was clenched, his eyebrows furrowed as he stared at you with a look you unrecognised.
He looked extra hot.
You watched as his eyes slowly travelled from your face, downwards, lingering on your chest. Scrunching your eyebrows, you look down to see what he was looking at, before your eyes widened even more. Your boobs were practically hanging out of your pink cami top, looking extra plump from being pressed onto the counter. Clearing your throat, you looked away, noticing him push himself off the wall from where he initially was, walking towards you. You could feel your heart jump from your chest, the closer he got. Not knowing what to do, you just allowed your inner self to panic, but plastering a stoic expression on your face, eating your grapes.
You let out a soft gasp, feeling his body heat radiating from behind you, feeling his presence so near. You've never been this close to him, your mind going haywire as you try to figure out what was going on.
"With who?", Anton leaned down, muttering near your ear as you bit your lip, trying not to react to both his proximity, and the way his voice had dropped an octave.
"I said with who, princess?", he pushed his body closer against yours, making you whimper, feeling the tent in his shorts press against your backside, as he caged you against the counter. You hated that nickname, something that was given to you by Sungchan's friends for being a 'princess'; in better words, a spoilt brat. Yet, something about the way Anton said it had your pussy throbbing.
"What's it to you?", you rolled your eyes, feigning composure, hearing him scoff behind you.
"Are you really that fuckin dense?", Anton seethed, clenching his jaw even more when he felt you press your ass back into him, wanting to feel more, "Or was I just stupid to think your brainless head could actually work for once.", he muttered, rutting his clothed length against you, as you bit your lip harder, trying not to make any noise.
"Get on the counter, or do you need me to do that for you too? Since you're that fuckin stupid.", he snapped, pushing you up, his large palm on your stomach, pushing your back down onto the counter. You were too needy to even think straight, letting out desperate whines, every degrading word he spoke going straight to your pussy. This was exactly what you dreamed of every night, your desires finally coming true as you feel him push open your legs.
Not even sparing a second to even remove your clothes, his hands pushed into your shorts, two fingers circling over your clit as you let out a silent sigh of relief.
"Such a slut. You're already soaked and I barely even touched you.", he scoffed, tracing small circles over your clit faster, the whimpers from your lips escaping more frequently. The way your body twitched, he knew you were already close, rolling his eyes from how quickly you were able to reach your high. Just as the knot in your stomach was about to release, Anton removed his fingers from your shorts, making you whine from being denied your pleasure, grinding your hips against nothing, seeking some sort of friction to ease your needs.
"Please.", you whine out, frustrated from the lack of attention on your throbbing pussy, hating the way he pulled back to look at your desperate state, condescendingly.
"Look at you begging for me when you were supposed to be going out with another dude. What? Did you plan of fucking him tonight?", he snarled, pulling down your shorts to get a better view of your pussy, groaning at the sight of you clenching around nothing.
"No, only you.", you blabbered, not thinking straight. You hadn't even thought of the implications of your words, nor did you notice the way his eyes lit up when you said so, focused solely on your pleasure.
Anton wasted no time, as he dove straight into your pussy, his mouth latching onto your core. You threw your head back onto the counter immediately, your fingers burying themselves into his hair at the sensation, tugging it roughly. He moaned onto your cunt, sending vibrations up your body as you let out a loud moan.
"Shut up.", he snapped, releasing you from his mouth, as he reached up to put pressure on your throat, choking you. You eyes rolled back from the feeling of his hands restricting your airways, your mouth hanging loose, his cock throbbing at the sight.
He went straight back in, his tongue eagerly flicking your bud, lapping at your folds, while his hands roughly squeezed your thighs, pushing his face deeper into you. He couldn't stop, even if he wanted to, infatuated with how you taste, humming in satisfaction.
"How do you think your brother would react if he found out his sweet little pretty princess likes her pussy eaten by his best friend?", he laughed, condescendingly, smirking as he pulled back to look at your swollen clit, placing harsh slaps against your pussy, before diving right back in with his tongue. Your hands quickly rushed to your mouth, trying to suppress the sounds escaping your mouth, not wanting to be caught by your brother, as Anton increased the pace of his laps, sucking harshly on your clit.
"F-Fuck, i'm close.", you cried out, as you felt his nose brush against your clit every time he lapped at your folds, the pressure in your stomach building. He smirked, picking up his pace as his head ruthlessly moved back and forth, licking and sucking your core, his tongue teasing your entrance while his free hand moved to your bud, flicking it to stimulate you more. Before you knew it, the knot in your stomach snapped, as you let out a high pitched whine of his name, releasing into his mouth.
He continued his work on your pussy, even after you had come down, as you tried to close your legs on him, only for him to push them back open.
"Just fuckin take it.", he mumbled, slipping two fingers in, as his tongue continued swirling around your bud, immediately pumping them faster, curling them perfectly to hit your g-spot every thrust.
"I-I can't.", you cried from overstimulation, trying to push him away, as his hand pressed against your stomach, forcing you down.
"Yes you can.", Anton insisted, his entire attention on your cunt as he worked his fingers through your hole, groaning at the feeling of your spongy walls. His fingers thrust in and out of you, finding your sweet spot as he repeatedly abused the spot, loud mewls escaping your lips as he continued sucking on your clit while working his fingers. Your legs were shaking from the intensity of his thrusts, his fingers diving deep into you as you felt another wave of orgasm approach you. Chanting his name repeatedly, your grip on his hair tightened as you reach your high. Your mind went blank as your eyes rolled back, the pressure in your stomach suddenly released as you let out a loud cry.
Exhausted, you open your eyes, looking down at him, your eyes widening at the sight of him, realising he had just made you squirt.
"That was so fuckin hot.", Anton whispered in a daze, leaning forward to slurp some of your juices, only for you to kick him away from overstimulation, "Didn't know you had it in you to squirt like that, princess.", he smirked, pinching your pussy before helping you up.
"You're cancelling that date. Fuck that, you're blocking him.", Anton glared, handing you your shorts as you put them on.
"I don't think so.", you shrugged, ignoring his sigh of frustration, walking away from the mess you had just made, bumping into Sungchan as he returned to the kitchen to join you two.
"Why didn't you just say it was a girl's date? I didn't know you were having a sleepover at Yujin's.", Sungchan huffed, tired from hearing their mom lecture him over the phone.
"I did try to. Not my fault you kept cutting me off.", you rolled your eyes, stomping up the stairs to your bedroom, as you slammed the door behind you.
"Damn, what's gotten into her pants?", Sungchan muttered, rolling his eyes, as he turned to look at his bestfriend, "Why are you smiling like tha- What the fuck happened here?", he jumped, looking at the mess on the floor.
Anton tried wiping the shit-eating grin off his face, horribly failing to do so.
A girl's date...
"Just spilt some grape juice.", Anton shrugged.
"You like grape juice?", Sungchan asked, confused.
"Love it.", he smirked, grabbing a cloth to wipe the mess.
"Let me help you.", Sungchan offered, making the younger snort.
"Trust me, you don't want to.", he laughed to himself, leaving the older confused.
"Okay...", Sungchan muttered, walking away from his giggling friend.
I guess grape juice was his favourite after all.
first smut i've written in 4 years, yeah the quality's lacking, ended up rushing the end too, but i hope you enjoyed !! feedback is appreciated!! :3
εϊз salt air, and the rust on your door ; anton lee
pairing. bf!anton lee x f!reader. genre. fluff, childhood friends to lovers. inspired by tsitp. synopsis. (the summer house pt. 1) breathing in the salty air during a hot august night spent at anton's summer house alters your brain somehow. you gather the courage to tell anton that you love him. warnings. kissing/make out, physical touch. wc. 883 words. author’s note. sorry that i disappeared for so long, i was on trial for fraud :/ i’m back now though !!
( 🐚 ) ONE SUMMER CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING.
you awake from your nap sometime late into the evening. in the distance you hear something orchestral, it’s soft and melodic and surrounds you like a chorus of angels welcoming you into your new forever. “must be anton’s cello,” you think.
of course it was. you step out of his bedroom, the floorboards creak one by one as you tip toe out into the living room. you’re greeted by his silhouette, the point of his shoulders broad as ever as he sits up tall, hands moving the bow as he plays. you hear him mutter a few frustrations.
he pauses, and then halfway turns to you.
“finally, you’re up. please sit down and tell me what the hell i’m doing wrong.” you smile as you sit crisscrossed on the shag carpet in front of him, somewhat reminiscent of the first kindergarten day you’d ever met him.
anton begins again, his eyes focused on the sheet music in front of him. you admire how handsome and focused he looks, his movements sophisticated to a standard you’d never seen before. he proceeds to play something that makes you feel as if you’re floating in the clouds. every note rings out thick through your ears, you’re practically surrounded by music notes by the time he’s done. whatever he’d just played had changed your life in only three minutes.
“fuck you forever,” he mutters. it catches you off guard and you look at him like a deer caught in headlights. anton notices your expression and quickly follows up. “oh my god, not you. the cello. i didn’t mean you.”
“why do i suck at playing today?” you shake your head at him. suck at playing? anton?? there's no way. "that's impossible," you retort. "i think i literally ascended just now. you're fine, anton. actually— you're perfect." he flashes that wide grin at you and woah, you are so glad you were already sitting down because you would've collapsed otherwise.
"thanks, baby. i hope you aren't just saying that because you're my girlfriend." you shake your head at him again. you could never lie to anton. to you, he was the greatest cello player on earth. you'd spend an entire lifetime proving it to the world if you could.
"anton, i'm saying that because it's the truth. and also because i love you." his head jerks back at your words, eyes going wide as ever. your face goes red and you question what overcame you to finally admit the quiet part out loud. was it the salty cape cod air altering your brain chemicals? had you been possessed by cupid himself?
anton puts his bow down and steps away from his instrument. you're curious as to what he's going to do. he walks over to you and then somewhat crouches onto his knees, caressing the back of your head with his hand. you're face to face and closer than you'd been all day. the air must be doing something to the both of you, because any of your usual shyness is gone. far, far gone. anton gives you a soft smile. you admire how pretty he is up this close, lucky that you're the only one who gets to see him in such an intimate way.
the silence between you two is more than comfortable. it feels like it was your destiny to be here, in this moment. the sound of waves crashing against the nearby shore fills the space around you. in a way, it's harmonious. it's just as comforting as waking up to the sound of anton practicing. perfect doesn't even begin to describe your summer.
he leans in and kisses you. first softly, and then with more intensity. his hands run through your hair, they caress your skin and light little fires all over your body. the both of you end up laying on the floor as you're on top of him, with your hands in his hair this time, sending shivers down his spine as he tries to find the meaning of love within your lips. by the time you both pull away for air, your lips are red and faces flushed with nervousness. "there's that familiar shyness creeping back," you think.
"i love you too, y/n. i love you so much." anton whispers as you hover above him. you two move so that you're sitting next to each other, backs against the couch. you lean your head on his shoulder and take his soft hand in yours. "you're so sweet," you say. "how did i get so lucky?" if the intensity of your feelings are only temporary, damn, you never want the honeymoon phase to end. you savor this moment. you savor every moment as if anton would disappear right before your eyes.
"i still don't believe you. tell me i suck at playing the cello and then we can do that again." anton says, disturbing the silence.
hi diva may i request a steamy make out sesh with anton after yearning for each other for the longest time... just a sudden itch i need scratched LOL thank you in advance ^__^
i got you diva. i wrote this while waiting to clock in at work i hope it’s not terrible 💀
…
Anton had been speaking to you for the past few minutes. Mumbling through his words nervously about ‘something important’ he came over at midnight to tell you.
You know it’s rude to completely tune him out like this, but you also couldn’t really help it. He kept nervously licking his lower lip leaving a soft gloss coating the pretty pink color. His cheeks were flushed and his big eyes kept looking from you to the wall behind you. Anton always looked beautiful but there was something different about tonight.
“Okay, let’s slow down and try again. You haven’t gotten any real words out.”
You place your hand on Anton’s knee to try and ground him, but the touch is suddenly too close and too warm. You always struggled to find the safe space between best friends and more. He watches quietly as you immediately pull your hand back like he burned you.
“I didn’t mean to come over so abruptly, I know you like to sleep early when you have plans the next day…” Anton speaks quietly with his gaze glued to his own hands like they’re the most interesting thing in the world.
“Anton it’s fine. Obviously, you have something important to tell me.” He looks up at the sound of your words and nods quietly. You can see the moment he gets lost in thought, his eyes focused too intensely on you, he bites the corner of his lower lip.
“Anton-“
“-I want to be more than this.”
Both of your eyes widen in shock. It looks like Anton’s life flashes before his eyes, fear and anxiety flooding his expression. You take a moment to calm yourself before asking for clarification. Getting your hopes up right now would likely lead to disappointment.
“What do you mean?”
He sighs and looks down at his hands again. The pink shade of his cheeks makes his lips look even prettier.
“I don’t want to be best friends anymore, I want to be your boyfriend. Or at least go on a date with you. I want to kiss you.” He presses his face into his hands and sighs. “So bad.”
All you can do is let out a relieved laugh which causes him to look up like a kicked puppy.
“Then kiss me. I want to kiss you too. So bad.”
Anton’s eyes search yours for any sign of a punchline or doubt. His hands are shaky as they reach to cup your face, thumb rubbing over your cheekbone as if waiting for you to pull away. His eyes search your face once more before he leans in.
His lips are soft and careful, missing any hint of need or passion. You can tell he hasn’t done this too many times, especially not with someone he cares this much about. He’s nervous to mess this up or overwhelm you.
“Anton…” Your foreheads rest together as you pull back, breathing each other in. “Yeah…?” he sounds breathless already from a quick kiss. “You can kiss me properly. I won’t break.”
He lets out a ragged breath before his hand finds the back of your neck, pulling you in closer as his lips find yours again. It’s messy this time, full of passion you’ve only ever seen him show on stage. His other hand finds your hip and easily pulls you to straddle him. The mattress dips below you both, sheets rumpled around Anton’s muscular thighs.
“I’ve wanted this for a long.” He speaks into your mouth. The kiss was uncoordinated, full of soft sighs and shaky breaths. He slips his hands under the fabric of your shirt. His fingers are cold against your warm skin causing you to arch into the touch. He groans lowly at the reaction and slides his fingertips over your stomach and ribs.
You can feel his tongue slide over your lower lip, warm and wet as he tries to coax your lips open for him. Letting him in, you slide your hands from his shoulders down his defined chest and rigid abs over his loose shirt. Your fingers toy with the belt loop of his jeans, his hips stutter forward involuntarily.
“Anton…” You pull back and rest your foreheads together breathing heavily against each others' mouths.
“I got carried away.” He laughs breathlessly, hands gently rubbing over your hips while he catches his breath. “It’s okay, I did too.” You lean forward resting your head in the crook of his neck.
“We should talk about what you said before jumping into things.” He shivers from the feeling of your breath on his sensitive skin.
