Nadal gets a major confidence boost, beats Murray in a thrilling 3 setter, sets up Monte Carlo Masters against Monfils, would be his 100th ATP tour finals; Gambhir-Yadav hand Hyd their second consecutive defeat; Finch and spinners give Gujrat their 3rd successive win in a thrilling last ball win, lead IPL table; India lose to Australia in finals of Sultan Azlan Shah cup, best performance though in 6 years; City, Manu win in EPL, Real Madrid put real pressure on Barca with thumping win against Getafe and more...:-)

<p>Nadal had a point to prove against Murray. He had lost to Murray last year in Madrid finals. Nadal had struggled against top ten players. He has beaten just 2 of them in last 1 year and one of them was in QF of this week's Monte Carlo Masters. He has not beaten 2 top players consecutively for ages now. It started off funnily . Murray had won the toss but refree gave Nadal the chance to chose. Nadal pointed that Murray had won the toss. Murray asked to toss again which he won. Murray won the first set with ease as he was winning long rallies and broke Nadal twice. He won it 6-2. Murray was not happy that Nadal was exceeding 25 sec serve timeline limit almost every time. He was taking 30-31 secs. Refreee didnt warn him as well. Murray even tried to argue with referee that Nadal was taking inappropriate medial attention. Nadal had to fight back in second set to make a fist of it. He broke Murray immediately. But Murray broke back immediately. Murray's serve though started dropping first serve %. It gave Nadal the needed gap and he eventually broke Murray to go ahead 5-3 which Nadal won 6-4. Final set was mere formality as Murray has lost it mentally . Nadal won it 6-2 to reach finals. This is probably his biggest week in ATP in last 1 year. Djokovic's early exit gave him the breather. This week should rejuvenate Nadal big time. Nadal would meet Monfils in finals who thrashed Federer conqueror Tsonga in straight sets. Tsonga was completely off colour today. Probably win against Federer had a toll on him </p>

<p>KKr started brilliantly against Hyd. KKR made lots of changes. Morkel, Narine and Yadav came back to team. Morkel should have had Warber very second ball of the match but it happened to be a no ball. Yadav and Morkel though ripped apart the top order of Hyd with some brilliant bowling. Yadav who had a poor 2016 so far was especially impressive. He picked Dhawan, Henriques and Morgan. Really cant understand why Henriques gets so many chances in IPL. He has been a failure since 2010. But he gets picked by various teams. He gets to bat upfront and also bowl but has been disappointing in both thee aspects.Morgan and Ojha gave some respectability to Hyd total of 142 but they were 30 runs short. That showed as Robin Uthappa and Gambir attached them right from the start. They hit fours regularly, ran like hare and put pressure right back  on Hyd within first 6 overs. Their 92 run opening stand virtually ended the match. KKR won by 8 wickets with almost 2 overs to spare. Gambhir hit a unbeaten 90. He has been dismissed just once in this series so far. His 28th fifty is most by any player in IPL history. Hyd wasted Mustafizur again. He should bowl up front. He bowled well today also and the ball he dismissed Russell was probably ball of the IP. But by the time he was introduced match was over. MI were put to bat by Gujrat Lions. MI top order could not get going. Rohit was dismissed by Jakati early. Pandya again came one down. Rayadu is being wasted in this team. Pandya is not as good as Rohit and etam beleives he is and Rayadu is not as bad either. These 2 need to change batting spots. Pandya failed again. Butler also got out cheaply and Pollard followed soon. That left MI reeling at 59-5. Patel, Rayado, K Pandya and Southee then resurrected MI batting. MI hit 61 runs in last 5 overs. Bravo for a change was hit all over the park. His slow off cutters cant work for ever.Dhawal Kulkarni, Jakati and Praveen tambe were stars with the ball.Raina though did not give full 4 overs to neither Jakati nor Tambe. MI are 15-20 runs short of par score. Bumrah dismissed McCullum early. Raina and Finch then played with great composure. Finch continues to impress in IPL. He has been amazingly consistent. They had a fifty run stand. McClenghan then dismissed Raina in familiar manner. A bouncer.  K Pandya then dismissed Karthik soon after. Match was on. Gujrat need 64 of last 9 with 7 wickets in hand. Gujrat middle order was tested for the first time in this years IPL.Bravo was dismissed by Bumrah immediately after that though Bravo was unlucky as he didnt nick the ball as confirmed in replays.Lot depended on Finch now. He had to finish with support from SUnil nath and Faulkner. And he did.   McCelnghan had a brilliant 19th over where he took 2 wickets (Faulkner and Praveen) and gave away just 2 runs. 11 needed of last over all of a sudden. Match had turned on his head with just brilliant over. Dhawal hit a vital boundary of Bumrah. Just like in world cup SF, Bumrah could not find yorker as he bowled length balls. Match went to the last ball when 1 was needed. IPL had his first tense match. Finch stayed cool though and hit a boundary. Finch is single handedly driving Gujrat Lions here. Third consecutive fifty. He hit a masterful 67 as he gave Gujrat Lions their 3rd consecutive win. Mi have lost both the home game this season  which is shocking as they have been unbeatable in last 2 seasons there. McClenghan and Bumrah bowled their heart out today. Their batting has not fired as a unit . Batting order is not right. Rayadu and Pollard are wasted down the order. Finch had hamstring problem in later part of the innings. He has a history of hamstring problems. If Finch injury gets big, Gujrat would find it tough to fill the gap as he has been instrumental for them  </p>

<p> Real Madird thrashed Getafe 5-1. Five different players scored goal for Real. Ronaldo and Benezma were also goal scorers. They are now just 1 point behind 1 point behind Barcelona. Barca's real test would be tomorrow's match. Athletico Madrid can put further pressure on them by winning their match.</p>

<p> Australia as expected thrashed India in Sultan Azlan Shah cup. They won 4-0 . This was though India's best performance in last 6 years. They have improved but are still miles behind Australia, Dutch and Germany. If India have hopes of a medial in this years Olympics, they need to start winning against these teams often.</p>

<p> Manu beat Aston Villa thanks to 35th in goal by Rashford. They are just 1 pt behind City now. City played Chelsea. City started well as they took Champions league confidence to EPL. Aquero eventually scored the opening goal for City. He scored again post break. Both were field goals just outside the box where his magic right foot came into business. He scored a penlaty as well to complete a hatrick.</p>
