Speculative Velociraptor threat display i came up with My speculation is that smaller dromaeosaurus like Deinonychus, Archeroraptor, etc had the feather raising ability to compensate for their lack of size and be able to intimidate enemies, whereas larger dromaeosaurs like Utahraptor, Dakotaraptor, Achillobator, etc didn't because they were already fairly large.

The true culprit of over feathering non-fluffy dinosaurs? Fluffy dinos going crazy on the full moon.
Spooky.

Wow uh... my tumblr's been kinda dry for some time, huh? Well, to make up for my burnout absence here's some paleoart I just finished. Included are some progress shots too. Enjoy! A juvenile Edmontosaurus has fallen to sickness, and two scavenging Tyrannosaurs are about to compete over it's carcass as their next meal.
