Actually Raphael isn't aro in the TV series. Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer confirmed that Raphael is a romantic asexual. There has been an interview with them on freeform about episode 2x10 about this. You can read it up if you don't believe me. :)

Well, isn’t that both disappointing and disgusting. Aro erasure is not cool. It’s great that he’s ace but why was the fact that he’s aro erased? In what way would that contribute to the show? In what way would erasing our representation positively enhance the fucking show? I’m honestly beyond disgusted. This feels worse than the Riverdale bullshit, because for a second it looked like we’d won. 

CC said he was aroace, he should be aroace in the show. Erasing representation is not cool. Erasing representation for plotlines is sickening.

aromanticism is a spectrum, he could be demi and still be on the spectrum and have a romantic relationship. not saying he is or should be, but aromantic doesn't mean incapable of romantic love

True, but CC said he was aro, not on the aro spectrum, so I’m taking that to mean aro.

Also, Slavkin & Swimmer have said that he’s going to be a romantice ace and that fucking pisses me off because that means they’ve decided to prioritze ships and romantic subplots over aro representation.

I guarantee you if any other community had representation erased this site would be up in arms, but no one cares about the aro community or the aroace community and it fucking hurts.

Here we are fighting for representation in a character that the fucking author said was aroace. Why the fuck do we have to fight for that? It should be something they were already doing.

But they’ve decided romantic Saphael and Rizzy and whatever the fuck else is more important than aro representation. So I’m done with the show. Just done
