"Hell Is Rushing Up To Meet Me" c.2023, acrylic on canvasboard, 12"×16". . This is how paranoia feels for me. Something unstoppable and traumatic is coming, and there's nothing you can do. There are less intense forms of paranoia for sure, there's a wide range, this is about fearing for the worst possible outcome. Because of my schizophrenia, and me being a pessimist even on a great day, it's horrifying. Fortunately this kind of fear and dread only seems to happen during psychosis - and its always a threat I can't define. Something is going to get really bad but I don't know what it's going to be. It's not something I'd wish on anyone. . Sorry for being a downer and all, I'm not well lately (major depressive episode, among other things). Still painting though, it's therapy. I talk to my psychiatrist this week, hopefully we can figure out something because I seem to be allergic to most medications but I would love another antidepressant. If not that, I have other options to talk about with him as well.
