so, i am one of the people who actually kind of believe the fan theory that in-ho is il-nam's son, because that will make him a chaebol. this show is still a depiction of korean society, after all, and chaebols basically run the economy there. so, making in-ho a chaebol that swoops in and inherits the game as the son of the former VIP kind of works for me.
but as i rewatch s1, i remember that theory is based on the fact that in-ho, just like il-nam's son (and gi-hun), doesn't drink plain milk. and then, i also remember one important thing: lactose intolerance is common in asians, me included lmao (i actually tolerate it better than my sisters), so both in-ho and il-nam's son being non-milk-drinkers wouldn't be weird at all.
and that's how i start doubting my own belief in the theory lol.
Why do the folks of my native land insist on believing that because I'm American I must love Starbucks with my entire soul.
Don't get me wrong, I can't live without coffee. But the only thing from Starbucks I've ever cared for is pumpkin spice latte.
I went to an orchestra concert today and the guest performer was Korean
After her performance an old white woman tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I was related to the guest performer.
I’M TAIWANESE
So I got myself the zojirushi rice cooker for my birthday the other month, right?
Roommates and I are learning that it shames you, because the timer shows how long it's been holding on warming since the cook cycle finished. So when it says 71hrs you know you forgot your rice for damn near 3 days. It'll still be moist and not dried out like with cheaper rice cookers, but the Zojirushi knows your rice-related sins and it's keeping count.
Every Asian can feel this at spiritual level.
SIMU LIU!!!!! I love this guy!!!
"How dare you not sign up to be miserable like we did?" is like. The bedrock of Asian society.
Raquelle has always confused me. She is usually Asian in the dolls, but in all cartoon media she's white. Barbie Diaries has her as a redhead and Barbie Fashion Fairytale and Fairy Secret have her with dark hair and blue eyes. Life in the Dreamhouse has her looking more like a slightly tanned white girl. I don't understand why they didn't really try to make her Asian looking, especially when you consider other Asians actually look Asian.
Mattel definitely made a good choice for retiring her for Renee, who is consistently a Chinese girl.
