a couple of weeks ago i was getting ready for my hockey season with my team with doing suicides, if you donβt know what those are... they are shuddles back and forth from a certain distance. for my team our coach told us that we had to do three sets of six. for my first one i did great, but i was exhausted. then during my second set, right in the middle of it, i rolled my ankle really hard and sprained my ankle. every day it gets stronger and i just took the brace off. i never used the crutched because i could walk on it and there was no need, but thats where i was wrong... it still really hurts to walk on my ankle, but i know its getting stronger. Yesterday i had a shooting activity with my coach and team. we played a lot of activities, the first one we did was the coach told us a certain target to hit and we had five tried to hit it, if you did not hit it, you had to do a workout by the coaches choice. i was the first one up because no one else would go, i have a pretty hard shot so i need a lot of strength and weight. before the puck left the ground, i was already on it faster than the puck was off. i felt the bone move, and the pain begin. i went to the trainer and he said i had re - sprained my ankle, as soon as we are about to be aloud to go on ice. i had gone to fast with my recovery and made it worse for my ankle. i guess the bench really loves me on it. i am not aloud to do anything that could hurt my ankle until further notice from the trainer. me being a veryΒ βsmartβ girl didnβt even put any support or rap on my ankle before i went to use my ankle for the first time in two weeks and shoot, great idea right? so right now i am trying to recover again and hopefully this time, i donβt mess it up.
