Time to release this AU idea I’ve been cooking!

The Fear AU is an AU where characters embody their greatest fears. The point of the AU is largely for character analysis, but also to create a narrative of embracing one’s fears and accepting it as part of your identity. Perhaps you could even overcome it by accepting it as part of who you are, but others may have an unhealthy coping mechanism…

Sonic has a fear of water and showing vulnerability both emotionally and physically.

He’s mostly made out of water which is held together by chaos energy. The only parts of him that aren’t fully made out of different solutions of water are his bones. You can kind of see them, but his organs mess with the light refraction. Additionally, it doesn’t take much force for his surface tension to break and for his body to dissolve. He can control the water that makes up his body, however, so it’s easy for him to piece himself back together again.

Knuckles’ fears relate to the death of his species and culture. He also fears the consequences of not fulfilling his responsibilities… yet also subconsciously the prospect of having to do the same thing for the rest of his life.

Therefore, he’s a walking echidna skeleton with shards of the Master Emerald fused to him. The shards are a reminder of his failures, yet are permanently connected to him. (Fans like to think he’s scared of ghosts too, so that’s incorporated by him being undead)

So about that “What if”

An AU where Team Sonic is raised by Dr. Robotnik founder of Engineering of Global Gadgets (EGG). Their appearance is different for reasons I will get more into but have some Robotnik family shenanigans!! Is it bad the I want this AU Robotnik to have the voice of Alfred from the Sonic Fandubs 😭

Did anyone ask for an unhinged Amy Juliet Rose? No? Oh okay well this would be ScrambledEGG Amy, Juliet Rose, she has a French accent and is a force to be reckoned with. Both her and Mach are the same age. She scares him sometimes when she goes berserk but he still trusts her. Shade is a little put off by her but he also doesn’t feel she’s a threat to himself. Artic sees her as another sibling added to the roster. Her and Duster are the powerhouses of the gang they can’t be left alone for too long. Her hammer also has a thruster to boost her swings (I’m a hammer main on monster hunter and Amy is a mood).

I’ll do a proper bio for her and this AU’s Rouge when I get the chance.
