"I can't do this anymore." You groaned and laid your head against the desk. The papers were piling up and the work was only getting harder.

You heard the bedroom door open and Sam walked in, taking off his mask and sitting on the bed letting out a long sigh, which made you turn your gaze to him.

"Hey Sammy." Sam looked towards you and smiled.

"Hello baby." You walked over to the bed, crawling behind Sam and leaning against his frame.

"Hard day at the prison?" Sam nodded, leaning into you.

"It's just...even the process to get someone in for a visit is exhausting but it's necessary. I can't not do it." You hummed in response, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, which he wrapped his own around.

"We should go for a walk", he turned to face you, "We can just walk and talk, I think it would be good for us."

You considered rejecting the idea, but the thought of going back to the pile of papers on your desk was motivation enough.

"Agreed." You both changed into some comfy clothes and made your way out of the house, trying to decide where to walk to.

"We could always just see where out feet take us?" Sam agreed to the notion and soon you were off, hand in hand.

"Do you want to talk about your day? It didn't seem to be going the best back at the house." You squeezed his hand reassuringly, letting him know that you had his full attention.

He sighed, rubbing his thumb against your hand.

"I just, I can't believe everything that's happened lately. The fact that the man that asked me to build the prison is the one in it. And I know that he's locked in there, and that the chances of him escaping are slim to non-existent. There just this constant feelings creeping around me whenever I step inside the prison. The only reason I haven't gone absolutely crazy in there...well, it's because of you. The only thing that keep's me going is the thought of coming home to you. And it's a thought I'm so happy I get to have."

You smiled, kissing his hand softly, walking with a bit more pep in your step.

He laughed, "Thank you, I feel so much lighter. Alright, I told you about my day, now tell me about yours. I saw the papers on the desk."

You groaned and rolled your eyes at the mention of the papers.

"Yeah, I've been doing some side business with Tubbo and Ranboo, and when I took the job, I didn't think it would be so much work. But they're dumping more and more work on me everyday, which is fine, I understand they have Michael and their mansion. But I deserve a bit of a break too."

Sam nodded along with every point you made up, squeezing your hands when you would start to heat up to bring you back to earth. By the end you had let off some pent up steam and felt much better.

"I'm so happy we can do this."

"Just enjoy each other's presence?"

"Mhm, I mean, don't get me wrong, I love going out and dates and presents and what not, but to just...be here, with my favorite person in the world...what more could I ask for?"

You both looked at each other, letting out small giggles as you made your way home.
