I've been watching the Good Guys at Sunrise lately. I always think of James Garner when I think of Maverick, but I've recently found out that there were 3 Maverick brothers on the show.

There Bret Maverick played by James Garner...

There Bart Maverick played by Jack Kelly...

And there was Beau Maverick played by Roger Moore.

It's a great show and I enjoy watching all three brothers. They are a lot of fun!!! 😁😍

The Maverick brothers reunite in the final episode of BRET MAVERICK (1981-81), the sequel series to MAVERICK (1957-62). If the show had been renewed for a second season, the plan was to return to the original series's format of alternating Bret-centric and Bart-centric episodes, but we'll never know how it would have turned out. It was probably just as well for Jack Kelly, who was happily retired from acting and keeping busy in real estate and local politics. He made three more TV appearances before his untimely death in 1992.

Jack Kelly played Lt. Farman in “Forbidden Planet” (1956). Early in the film he tried to compete with the ship’s commander for attention from the lovely Altaira (Anne Francis). He was killed later when the Creature from the ID attacked the ship.

A year after the film was released Kelly was casting in the popular western series “Maverick” where he alternated with James Garner in the lead role.
