I've been getting really good feedback on posts, so I genuinely want to thank people who feel confident to pop in on stuff and say "hey...I'm not sure I agree because (xyz) and thought maybe you could (example)."
I'm one person who was diagnosed only 4 years ago. I'm (surprisingly 😂) not an expert. It's great to kindly argue the definitions I give, to question my knowledge, to make a suggestion.
Do I ever get upset? Yeah. But that's my issue, and I sit with it and try to learn from it. I may be really happy with a post I did, but someone else may think it's not that great because I'm too vague or my information feels outdated. I'll sit with my bias, reflect, research then reply. Cognitive dissonance is a bitch, but I always try to understand.
And what has helped is the fact that this is an open field and topics can be nuanced as all hell. Or they can have very little room for interpretation. Knowing I can learn and teach helps a lot.
So, yeah. Y'all are awesome.
Here's a bumblebee bat as a thank you.
