Experience the rich flavors of slow-roasted pulled pork, seasoned with a perfect blend of spices and smothered in a tangy barbecue sauce. This easy oven recipe guarantees tender, succulent pork that's ideal for sliders or sandwiches.
Ingredients: 4-5 lbs pork shoulder, bone-in. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tbsp paprika. 1 tbsp garlic powder. 1 tbsp onion powder. 1 tbsp cayenne pepper. 1 tbsp dried thyme. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup apple cider vinegar. 1/2 cup ketchup. 1/4 cup molasses. 1/4 cup Dijon mustard. 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce. Slider buns for serving.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 300F 150C. Put brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried thyme, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix them together to make the dry rub. Cover the pork shoulder with the dry rub by rubbing it all over. Put the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and roast it in a hot oven for four to five hours, or until the meat reaches 190F 88C and is easy to pull apart with a fork. You can make the barbecue sauce while the pork is roasting. Apple cider vinegar, ketchup, molasses, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce should all be mixed together in a saucepan. Simmer on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring every now and then. Take the pork out of the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes. Use two forks to shred the meat. Make sure the barbecue sauce covers all of the shredded pork when you mix it in. Put the pulled pork on slider buns and eat!
