I love Gemma and Hellyna and honestly no amount of fandom arguments can change my opinion, I love this two outside of their romantic relationships...they are basically my blorbos. Also has someone who has been in a considerate amount of fandoms, plus, has seen a lot of stuff I know how these "fandom beefs" turn to racism/misogyny really quickly. I thought we have envolved past this type of attitude, it seems that some (key word SOME) have not. My advice? Put that phone down, sometimes it is that damn phone.

one of my favorite flavors of friendship (hear me out and dont tell me its romantic because i can assure you its not) is when you have this one friend that you just get so close to whenever you speak to them. like a finger's length away. and you have this idk, shared thought that you should pretend to lean in to kiss. like the head tilt and everything. you obviously dont kiss and you both start laughing and giggling before continuing on with your conversation. I might make it a longer post later, but why is it that almost exclusively "white"* people are considered gentrificators? even when they do not fit the definition, and when a non "white"* person moves in under the exact same circumstances there are no added connotations to it?

and further, why things that are considered colonizing when "white"* people do it but not when non "white"* people do it?

*people who society at large deems as socially white, no relation to reality, facts or actual skin colour needed
