i just have to say over like the last couple of months i have been learning to like cook and i mean like really cook because it has always been very intimidated and i have a very negative experience with cooking and learning because of my environment but it has been really nice. i clown on the stories people tell on their blogs before i scroll to the bottom but i read them sometimes and they are touching and somehow i am experiencing what they experienced while they cooked
i understand the convenience of things like hello fresh or hungry root or factor but like going to the store with my dad and laughing about products that sound so gross in stores (i'm looking at you pumpkin pie ramen!) and digging through discount products together and discussing how to stretch them and preserve them in the freezer so i can use it later. i learn about prices of cents per pound or unit. i cannot do this with a sad microwavable meal made for convenience. i cannot poke fun and enjoy walking the store with my loved ones.
and cooking! cooking can be hard but it's supposed to be a learning experience. and i understand not cooking too because of chronic fatigue and disability i have both. but it is so exhilarating to rifle through things in the pantry and the cupboard and freezer and i make something new - where i find a recipe, where another stranger somewhere in the world had all the same things i did and made something and shared it with me.
anyway. i love cooking . cook more. cook by yourself, cook with your friends, cook with a video.
One of my work friends told me she doesn't like to cook because it takes too much time and energy, so I made this guide to help her out because I *ALSO* struggle with that. When I moved out of my parents' house I promised myself I would never subsist solely off of pre-prepared freezer meals ever again, so here's how I manage to do that even though I have very little energy most days.
This also assumes you have an instant pot or some kind of electric pressure cooker, but I wrote separate instructions for pretty much everything to be made without one. I just find that helpful when I have no energy.
I know cooking can be hard and time consuming and makes dishes which can be a huge barrier for a lot of people, but with food prices the way they are right now it might be a good time to try it out if you can. I hope this knowledge can help someone the way it helped me❤
(Also excuse any spelling or grammar errors I wrote this while I was at work and I don't care enough to go back and fix it)

Recently, I had a taste of what it’s like to be a vegan who doesn’t cook. For what seems like the past decade or so, I’ve been living with a kitchen remodel. Cooking while my kitchen was torn apart was not really a problem. I

Kusunagi made a pretty big mess as he struggled with the difficult recipe, but he’s still pretty happy with his first ever attempt at ebelskivers! He served them with homemade blackberry compote and scrambled eggs.
