How are you feeling about Knights of Guinevere?

I am cautiously optimistic with it!

Watching Horror, especially Psychological Horror is still something that I am easing into so it'll be interesting to actually see what happens when I watch it. 😅

I know that Orville is gonna be an horribly awful person, but we got to give credit that the guy appreciates tall queens.

Like she could've small and petite, but he said "Nah, she's taller than me, that's totes canon." And if Gwen/Guinevere is based on his wife, then this becomes extra funny to me. (Am I subscribing to the theory? Not 100% but I do think that Olivia is definitely having the massive parental issues that will be explored in the show)

Overall I'm excited, I'm bracing myself for the terrors, and I'm curious to see what exactly is behind the curtain at Park Planet.

Tbf, Nick is processing a lot during the events of Wizard of Oz, and the Scarecrow is a bit preoccupied with his world expanding beyond the field, so romance is not exactly at the top of the priority list.

And that is assuming the two realize they have romantic affections for each other. They are a bit dense, much to the bemusement of Jellia and mild annoyance of the Lion.

But we'll also just have to see how it ends up in story, or if those two dorks even show up, cause the plot bunny has not been bery productive in thay department haha.

So in your DP AU, where does Dani Phantom exist?

Honestly? I've got not any clue.

Cause outside the idea of "Vlad was left alone without 85% of his impulse control for 5 minutes too long", in my take, it doesn't really make sense for Vlad to make a clone of his friend's kid. I mean him having a niece you'd be able to explain why Dani is Dani (and lead to a fun moment of "Hey, Uncle Vlad, where did she get my old beanie?" "Uh...internet?") but that's not necessarily what I'm wanting for the AU, if that makes any sense.

One idea I had been toying with, however, was that Vlad gets to be more of a rival antagonist (idk why Shadow is the first thing that popped in my head as a comparison) while there's a bigger threat, but that would be more world building into other supernatural consequences, Pariah Dark, and several of the adults in Amity Park being cult members planning on sacrificing their kids to get Pariah Dark to rule both the human world and Ghost Realm, with Dani being an attempt to 'make' a host which didn't work because she ended up being too small/young and the possession would have basically destroyed her body and that kind of defeats the purpose to having a host in the first place.

Now there is an awful gremlin inside of me that's realizing that we don't necessarily need Dani to be a clone per say, we could just have the fun of poor bachelor Vlad finding himself suddenly a dad for this orphaned newly formed half ghost, not knowing how this happened-just that he was out flying to tick off Danny and spotted her running for her life-and then dealing with his old college friends volunteering themselves to help him adjust to dad-hood and being back in his life.

At least in this AU he has his sister to help him out....

What are some fun facts about Nick Chopper?

Sure thing!

He's very "duck swimming" where it's hard to see him react but inside he is going aaa (this was a thing when before the whole Tin thing and as they're traveling, Nick does fall back into the habit)

He wasn't the most fully coherent when Dorothy and the Scarecrow found him and it did take him sometime to recoup and be like "this isn't a dream I am not dead this is who I am" (hence why going to find Jellia didn't happen until we were waiting on the wizard)

He is a very physical affection guy. Obviously he has to rework it since he is tin now, but he loves connection

After Dorothy left, he did make a trip back to Glinda's castle, curious to learn more about Dorothy and where she was from/is she doing ok. Needless to say Dorothy is getting a big old bear hug when they meet again.

He gets frustrated when his joints don't fully let him move about and he freezes up. Thankfully the metalworkers of Winkies have been working to fix that for their Emperor.

So in your PPT AU, how early is the Lily meeting?

If we go by the chapters, I would say the encounter with Lily is in Chapter 2, right after the first encounter with Long Legs and being told "Play the Games and I'll totally give you the train code".

The scenario would be that Molly is trying to find the way to the station itself when she stumbles upon Lily's area and encountering her. In this AU, Lily is not sequestered away for her own protection (She isn't Grace in this AU btw), but more of she's just a 45 when everyone else needs her at a 3, so that makes things mildly entertaining when Lily puts 2 and 2 together (This adult appearing doll is suddenly here; she is trying to get to the game station) and comes up with 47 (clearly we are supposed to besties and this is totally intentional and planned!)

Obviously this leads to some shenanigans when Long Legs realizes that instead of just giving out the train code and not dealing with a mess, she now has to deal with Lily not shutting up while this random adult is playing these children's games.

What's your opinion on the GOTY Raquel?

Complicated.

Does she have a cool collection? For the most part, I think they managed to balance the idea of "New Hobby/Concepts" and what sells consistently pretty well where it isn't just "Previous GOTY collection but new color scheme".

Is she a pretty doll? Absolutely. Meet Outfit I'm admittedly 50/50 on but I'm also not always a fan of meet outfits.

Do I like her story and her in general? Well...no.

I don't hate the idea of trying to tie in the Historical Line with the GOTY Line and trying to give people a reason to at least notice the historicals, but AG definitely half-assed it. It gives me the vibes of they wanted to do this connection but didn't want to risk pissing people off *too* much so they didn't go all in, but they also don't trust Raquel to sell well enough on her own so they "had" to tie her into Samantha to make sure she sold (which I totally get is me assuming the intent of AG execs vs the impact so take with a grain of salt).

I'm also curious about the behind the scenes about why Nellie is MIA in general, cause with Raquel there's hardly a mention, The Re-Release of Samantha did not include her Meet Book and her only outfit released was one where Nellie was not included, and it isn't a total secret that Pleasant had beef with some of Samantha's authors that led to the weird canon Sam has pre-Raquel, but you would've figured that within the 40 years AG has been around that it would've been worked out by now. I do hope that it is just a red tape contract shenangians and not something more intentionally malicious regarding Nellie.

So overall those are my Raquel thoughts; I may get her if she goes on sale but I won't be heartbroken if I don't.

[Though there will be words if the Adult Samantha Novel does anything with Eddie beyond "oh hey he exists I guess". I do not trust AG not to pull some bullshit, especially given the blurb we got already]

Fun Facts about Jellia?

Sure thing!

So Nimmie Amee is actually her real name, but after Nick's "disappearance" and her escape to the Emerald City, she goes by Jellia to make it difficult for her to be found again by the wicked individuals she worked for. Nick recognizing her and calling her by Nimmie did accidently give her a *small* heart attack before reintroductions are made.

As the head of the Emerald City Palace Staff, she does have the "honor" of being the one who has had more interactions with the Great and Terrible Wizard. Granted, that's not really saying much, given that Theodor still hid behind curtains or "a human appearing individual", but compared to the average Oz citizen or witch, she does know a bit more about the Wizard.

She has a tendency to ridiculously blunt, but she does ask permission prior. Theodor has since learned to brace himself when she storms and asks "permission to be incredibly blunt sir" cause he's gonna get an earful, even if he says no. Girl has the skills to be incredibly passive aggressive and petty when the need arrives.

She absolutely adores Dorothy, even before finding out about the extent of her shenanigans with witches. Dorothy likes Jellia a lot, and Jellia reminds her a lot of her Aunt Em.

Scarecrow will follow Jellia around like a baby duck, especially in the first few weeks of being the ruler of the Emerald City. She's chill with it and ended up introducing him the game of croquet

Do you have more stuff about your Danny Phantom AU?

Admittedly, I don't really plan on doing much with the AU, but plot bunnies do be doing as plot bunnies do, so here's some stuff:

Vlad does have a younger sister, who works with the "Supernatural Shenanigans" Government Department (Brain is thinking that in this universe Guys in White are an outsourced department/where you send the agents who flunked the 'subtly' test and can't quite fire them yet, where basically they have to report to other department which Vlad's sister is part of). She has a daughter that is involved with her own supernatural mischief that would cross paths with Danny and Vlad.

There was a second incident after the college incident which definitely led to the 'absolutely no contact' between the Fenton Parents and Vlad. Does it involve Jack, Maddie, and Vlad going out where they shouldn't have and pissing off a force they shouldn't have which will come back later that Danny will have to deal with? I mean...it would be on brand for the Fentons.

In my AU, I want to play with the idea that Ghosts don't emotionally mature unless another event rattles them in the same vein as their death. That doesn't mean they don't mature in the sense of knowledge or even appearance, it's just more that they're still going to be as emotionally immature/mature as they were when they died even after multiple fights with Danny. So for example, Vlad's ghost form is still going to behave like a college kid from the 1980s while his human self is going to be more mature(ish, this is still Vlad we're talking about)

Sam's family would be more fleshed out, especially with the dynamics between Sam and her dad vs Sam and her mother. Her dad would be an architect that focuses on rehabbing buildings (which would be the catalyst for the first time Plasimus is introduced as Sam would overhear her dad arguing with her mother about one of the buildings/him doing jobs like that, and Sam would jump to the conclusion that he was gonna destroy it, etc) Definitely would need to flesh it out more, but that's kinda where the brain is leading.

I'm sure there's more, but that's what the brain has left me with for now.
