"Villainous Options" for Baldur's Gate 3
This mod adds three new subclasses to the game:
Cleric (Pestilence Domain)
Fighter (Hell Knight)
Sorcerer (Demonic Sorcery)
While they are not all exact copies of what is presented in "Unearthed Arcana 2026: Villainous Options", it is my best attempt at adapting them into reasonably playable subclasses within the scope of BG3.

Dragonborn Fighter talking to his Cleric crush
Finally getting around to posting the wonderful commission @lomakes made of my favourite OC, Fäwhyn! It’s such a cool piece and I love it a lot!

Background: About 100 years ago, a Tuigan human named Baga arrived in the village of Nyth. He had fled his clan when his faher commanded him to kill his close friend to settle a blood feud. Knowing how many villages in the region were decimated by Tuigans, the locals were suspicious of him. Determined to prove himself, he set to slaying monsters in the forest that surrounded the town. He quickly became hailed as a folk hero and people from neighboring village would seek him out, willing to pay him to pursue monsters of all sorts for them.
One particular chase led him deep into the Underdark. There, he tracked an Oni all the way to Menzoberranzan. Before he found his quarry, he crossed paths with a drow priestess named Qilra. He was captivated by her beauty, and she saw in him an easy mark, a ticket out of the church that time and time again promoted lesser devotees over her. She seduced him and returned him with him to Nyth, where she soon became his bride.
When Baga was approaching old age, Qilra became unexpectedly pregnant. She named their son Rilrae. Baga taught Rilrae how to fight with a scimitar and take aim with a longbow. He expected his son would one day follow in his footsteps and help the scores of people who still begged for his help.
Rilrae loved his father, but even as a boy, he never relished the life of a ranger. His interest lay in the magic, and he sought out the town's eldest residents to hear stories about the mages who had freed the town from a fearsome monster years before his father arrived.
By the time he was a teenager, Rilrae understood that to keep the peace, any study of magic must center on weaponry, a topic his father could find no quarrel with. And so, he took to researching lost spells and sigils used by archers in various lands. He borrowed money from his mother to send messengers to far off cities and bring him books.
When his father left for a hunt and never returned, Rilrae only became more devoted to his studies. He published numerous books on the subject of arcane archery, and word of his knowledge spread throughout certain groups among Faerun.
People began coming to the village, wishing him to design arrows capable of delivering different types of spells. Always hungry for a challenge, Rilrae accepted these early assignments without asking questions. He was far too eager to get started. It was only after hearing about rebellions his arrows helped quash and assasinations they made untraceable that he became more careful with his clients. But still, he could be hasty.
About 5 years ago, letters began arriving from Blackstaff Academy. The first offered a simple professorship. The next a sizable research grant. Letter after letter was simply tossed aside as soon as it was read.
Rilrae never knew his mother, posing as him, was writing back and demanding more concessions. Qilra was determined her son be swayed. She could see no other way that he would ever leave Nyth and find a suitable wife to give her grandchildren. And so she continued to conspire and negotiate until at last Rilrae received an offer so enticing he could not refuse. Qilra was elated.
He was aboard a vessel sailing to Waterdeep in anticipation of the start of the fall term when he was abducted by the Nautiloid. Even if Rilrae had lived, granddaughters were not in Qilra's future–her son was gay.
Major in-game choices:
Ignored Rolan and the tiefling children
Didn't promise to help the tieflings but ended up killing Kahga and the goblin leaders anyway
Attacked Ethel for wasting his time about a cure but didn't pursue her into her lair because what was going on with Mayrina was none of his business
Let Astarion feed off of him
Didn't care about Shadowheart worshipping Shar
Spared Karlach because it was clear she was strong and not a devil
Was hostile to Raphael but didn't encourage Wyll to break his pact
Killed Rugan and Olly because he was angry they didn't join in the battle against the gnolls
Used parasites and shared them with Astarion
Helped the myconids and freed the gnomes in the process of killing Nere
Sent Gale away because he waited so long to mention the orb
Refused to turn over the artifact and had to kill Lae'zel
Asked Vlaak'ith why she couldn't kill the dream guardian herself
OOC rules of engagement
Must buy all thunderwave scrolls and use them as a first action to get out of melee
Must try to get to the high ground as soon as possible in every fight
Can only use a scimitar in melee with no shield
Give no input or instruction to the rest of the group about combat
Stealing and killing are fine but no downright evil acts (killing for no reason, stealing from the poor etc)
Only do side quests that provide a real advantage or that lead to knowledge of magic, which still fascinates
No real respect for or fear of any god
OOC Notes:
Arcane archer never updated in my game and the mod i had didn't work so I was playing him as a sharpshooter with the 5e Fighters mod and using ice, fire, lightning, etc arrows as the "magic"
Poor bastard failed almost every roll every time
Basically how Akiris' campaign has so far went
I made a basic “get to know my dark urge” ! I hope to also do one for my Gorion’s Ward and my Tav too (maybe even my Rook and Grey Warden).
