Lovely Writer/ Nubsib Ep 1 Observations and comments
Lovely writer being so meta is so hilarious the way it calls out all the tropes, ideas and stereotypes of BL it certainly has its own opinions on the industry and it’s out for some blood. This is really good knowing what the actual conflict is based on for Gene and any subs future relationship: showing that sometimes the industry has problematic issues underneath its series of jokes is a great way to make us the audience also question how we feel about the industry and what needs to change. Very good start to the series. Honestly the start of the show is showing this is going to be a perfect commentary sacarstic real look into the flaws of the BL industry I really love this . The lack of effeminate actors, queer actors, the shallowness only focused on looks and not on talent, the greed and fake act of being progressive to make money, the toxicity found in the novels at times so much commentary. At first we’re starting of funny but we know it’s going to get serious and serious as Gene becomes entangled fully into this world as he falls for Nubsib.

And also Nubsib is exactly an actor he has two faces I’m intrigued at this director calling out the tropes in Bls that are toxic will he able to also do the same for our couple as they fall for each other because Nubsib tends to border on the line of some questionable truths later on, he’s manipulative, secretive and interesting and it’s funny because his first line to Gene is the truth maybe not in an aggressive manner but he meant it when he was confessing he missed him, he meant it when he was saying all those things to Gene. That’s why it’s so fascinating to see this commentary on one surface and know we’re dealing with a wolf in sheep’s clothing who’s going to also make us think about this stuff as well. I can’t wait 👌 exactly what I expected from director Tee already subtext showing important questions and ideas whilst hiding it in humour and romance 👌
