Vimeo gak Kalah Kerennya dengan YouTube
Bagi kamu yang suka dunia videografi, pasti gak asing dengan situs yang satu ini. Vimeo adalah salah satu dari sekian banyaknya situs yang diblokir di Indonesia. Padahal, Vimeo menawarkan video-video yang semuanya berkualitas HD, tampilan website yang terlihat lebih rapi dibandingkan YouTube, dan tidak memiliki ads sama sekali. Salah satu fitur website Vimeo yang saya sukai adalah fitur today’s best videos.
Alasan diblokirnya situs Vimeo di Indonesia adalah adanya muatan video yang berbau pornografi. Padahal, seperti dilansir dari website Vimeo sendiri, “Vimeo does not allow videos that contain explicit depictions of nudity or sexual acts (in most cases), nor do we allow videos that seem primarily focused on sexual stimulation. (There are plenty of other websites for that.) We also don’t allow videos designed to advertise goods and services of an erotic nature, even for PRO members. Of course, Vimeo respects creative expression above all else. That’s why we allow depictions of nudity and sexuality that serve a clear creative, artistic, aesthetic, or narrative purpose.”. Kalau kita lihat di situs Youtube, banyak juga kok video-video yang menunjukkan nudity dan lain sebagainya.
