Fictive A stood in front of the mirror, making as many different faces as they could think of. This body was... different was the best way to put it. It didn't look at all like the art style of their source – but then, of course it wouldn't; the real world didn't have a specific art style. It just was. And they just were, with this new face.
(But on the other hand, their source was a "real world" too, in a way. Real enough that they were comparing their old looks to their new body. This world might not have an art style, but it definitely had a style of appearance, and that was close enough to matter.)
“It’s just something my body does”
Reframing the many negative things in my life as "just something [that] my body does" can be wonderfully helpful. Hair I don't like? It's just something my body does, I guess? Pain? It's just something my body does, unfortunately. Anxiety? Well that's apparently just something my body does. Immobility? I can't control that, and I'm not responsible for it, because it's something that my body just does, without my consent. Having to cancel something due to any of the previous? It's something my body needs me to do for it. That sucks. Not being able to do XYZ? I wish I could, and maybe one day I will be able to, but right now, not being able to is something my body is doing to me. To do so is simply not available in my world. All bodies are different. All bodies need different things, perceive things differently, are born differently, look different, feel different, sound different, have different amounts of hair, pimples, blemishes, and scars, among an infinity of other biologically inevitible variations. These are just things our bodies do. You may not like them, and I'm in the same boat. But you're not responsible for them, they're not wrong, don't necessarily need fixing, and these things aren't the most essential part of you. Next time try saying "It's just something my body does" like someone might say about a noise their car makes. It goes without saying, no intent to invalidate people if this way of thinking doesn't help, or is irrelevant to you. It just works for me and I wanted to share it. Please share your experience in the comments if you wish to.

The four ‘light’ sides all vary in body stature. Sometimes it makes sex a little awkward and funny but other times it works in their favour or they just enjoy each other as they are.
We been blessed today....(gmm1219)
Haaaaayyyy it’s my characters I made. I have had these characters for maybe like… 6 or 7 months now? I just now designed these humanish versions of them but I still need to post the originals.
(They are super gay for each other by the way)
Expect more of them from me soon!!

Hydra A turned over on their side and adjusted their blankets for what felt like the millionth time that night. Dragon B had given them more than enough bedding for the night, but it didn't really help with the fact that Hydra A had never slept in their lair before, and the unfamiliarity of it all – the location, the feel, the sounds – was keeping them awake.
Well, that and the other thing... When Dragon B and Hydra A had first met, both were in their disguised human forms, and thus assumed the other was human. Although Dragon B had recently revealed their true form (during a passionate speech about Hydra A being their "most precious treasure" – not to brag or anything), Hydra A hadn't yet found the words to tell Dragon B about their own non-human nature. As a result, Hydra A was still stuck in their human form when they went to bed, and it was hard falling asleep in a body that didn't match who you were.
Hydra A huffed and sat up enough to fluff their pillow a few times. A groggy voice sounded from the back of their head, 'Are we still awake...?'
'Yeah,' Hydra A thought back, too tired to add anything else. That was another thing they'd have to explain to Dragon B; that being a hydra – a monster with multiple heads – meant having multiple minds, too, which could think for themselves and make their own decisions. Dragon B said Hydra A was their personal treasure, but being a treasure didn't necessarily mean being understood or respected, so Hydra A couldn't help but worry a bit. ... Or maybe a lot.
Make that the third reason Hydra A couldn't sleep.
