Fake It - Book synopsis
Lauren Winters, a girl who despises the thought of having a crush. She hates the pitter-patter of her heart when one certain person is around. She hates that her mouth likes to run off when that one certain person is in the conversation, and it says something stupid before she can catch up to it. But most of all? She hates her friend group for pointing out that she hasn't even gone on a date in six years. Because now she finds herself agreeing to go on one date, just to get them to shut up. Because now she has to go through the nerve wracking fear of not being in control. But now, she has an idea.
Chase Rodgers, your typical asshole of a guy. Unfortunately for him, he's got an ex girlfriend that broke up with him, and everyone thinks he's some clingy guy thats still hung up on her. So now he's got something to prove. Chase has to prove to everyone that he's over that girl--and that he is not, let me make that clear. He's not over her yet, but everyone's telling him he isn't like if it's obvious. So now? He's not happy. You know what else he isn't happy about? Lauren winters.
Lauren Winters and Chase Rodgers are absolutely disgusted by one another. But guess what? Now Lauren has proposed an idea to Chase, and it seems like a pretty good deal. He gets what he wants, and she gets what she wants. Win-win, right? Except it's not a "Win-win" because the last thing they'd wanna do is go out with each other. Thats why they're going to fake it. Fake dates, fake chemistry, fake everything. But here's where they panic--at what point did the lines of real and fake start to blur?
