Hello everyone, I’m so glad it’s Friday! It’s been quite a week and I’m looking forward to telling you all about three new books I’ve added to my collection. I’ve just recently finished Shit Cassandra Saw and really enjoyed it. This is a feminist short story collection and is described as Margaret Atwood meets Buffy in these funny, warm and furious stories about women at their breaking point. Review to follow! Tomb Of Sand was a no brainer after it won the Booker International prize this year. It follows an eighty year old woman who slips into a deep depression after the death of her husband then resurfaces to gain a new lease on life. Finally, The Retreat. Since childhood, Sandra has been fascinated by the small, private island of Lieloh. Sandra is now in her forties and works as a receptionist but still harbours artistic ambitions. She sees an advert for a two weeks artistic retreat on Lieloh and resolves to set out on what might be a life-changing journey. I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. 1 - What is the first sentence of the book you are currently reading and the last one of the book you finished last?

Currently reading Take Back the Skies by Lucy Saxon - first line: "Rain fell lazily from charcoal-coloured clouds as Catherine Hunter sprinted through darkening streets, her long hair tied in a tight braid and tucked beneath a black knitted cap."

The last book I read was Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas, so I can't give the last line of that because spoilers. And the one before that was City of Heavenly Fire, so, spoilers. But I also finished The Geography of You and Me, so I'll give you that. Last line: '"I don't know," she said, and he could see that she was smiling, too. "I think this might be it."'

2 - Did you set yourself a reading goal this year/month? If yes, what is it? My goal for the year is 90 books, and I'm currently sitting on ~60 :)

3 - Tell me one book everyone loves but which you hate. What bothers you about it? This actually hasn't happened to me yet, surprisingly. 

4 - Which has been your favourite read this year, so far? HEIR OF FIRE! (Throne of glass #3) by Sarah J Maas :D (but check out my 2014 Reads page for all the awesome books I've loved this year :D)

5 - If you could read only one book for the rest of your life, which one would you choose and why? Probably The Messenger by Markus Zusak, to remind myself to keep doing good in the world.

6 - Name one absolutely underrated book that you would like a lot more people to know about. Go Ask Alice

7 - Do you like to keep your book shelves in any particular order? If yes, in which? does 'pretty' count as a sorting system?

8 - Which movie adaptation of a book do you think is actually better than the book itself? Catching Fire came pretty close, but, well, no. 

9 - Do you remember the first book you read by yourself? No, but the Lily Quench books (by Natalie Jane Prior) were my first ever series and the books that got me into reading <3

10 - Look at your favourite book’s covers. Can you name one book for every colour? Let's do the rainbow: Red - The Knife of Never Letting Go Orange - Under the Never Sky (Aus cover) Yellow - Lola and the Boy Next Door Green - Ignite Me Blue - The Assassin's Blade Indigo - The Indigo Spell Violet - Angelfall (there's some violet on there, okay)

11 - Which book has been on your to be read pile the longest? Do you think you will ever actually read it? Blue Eyed Boy by Joanne Harris. And yes, you know- eventually :)
