A very special commission for @cowboythighs for their bowling steddie fic! 🩷 I finished this piece last year, and I’m SO excited to finally share it! 🥰
Please go read For Soup it’s super fun, hot and juicy 🎳💦
HARRY’S LUCKY BOWLING SHIRT — Old enough to drive, threadbare, and smelly. Kim is not wearing that thing.
+1 Savoir Faire : The ball always goes where you tell it to.
-1 SUGGESTION : A little bit of humiliation goes a long way. This is way too much.
Pomni design for my TADB AU! (The Amazing Digital Bowling AU)
I had sm fun designing her and love the design of the uniform! I hope you guys like her as much as I do!! ^^
I think this song is quite funny.. 👀

**Title:** *“Strikes and Shy Smiles”*
**Pairing:** Bobby Campbell x Female Reader
**Setting:** Bowling Alley AU – first unofficial date vibes
**Genre:** Fluff, Mutual Pining, Light Comedy
**Word Count:** \~1.4k
**Warnings:** None – just bowling fails, soft boy energy, and a reader who falls for him a little harder every time he tries too hard
---
You weren't even sure how it happened.
One second, Bobby was walking beside you in the school hallway, rambling about how “nobody respects bowling anymore,” and the next he was inviting you out to *prove it.*
And now? You were at the local alley, wearing ridiculous rented shoes, sharing a plate of neon-orange nachos, and watching Bobby Campbell throw his *fifth* gutter ball in a row.
He turned back toward you, arms out dramatically. “Okay, that one *wasn’t* my fault. The lane is cursed.”
You raised your brows. “Cursed?”
“Yeah,” he said, walking back with a half-eaten mozzarella stick in hand. “I read once that if a bowling alley was built over, like, an ancient landfill or something—”
“Bobby.”
“Yes?”
“You just suck at bowling.”
He placed a hand over his heart like you’d wounded him. “You wound me. Deeply.”
---
Still, for all his big talk and gutter balls, Bobby had a kind of reckless charm that made it impossible not to smile.
He brought extra socks for you because “bowling alley ones are cursed too.”
He wrote your name on the screen as “Queen Pin.”
And when you got your first strike, he *literally* applauded — like full clapping, kind-of-embarrassing applause.
“I’m not even mad,” he said, eyes bright. “You’re unstoppable. You’re like a bowling goddess.”
You snorted. “And you’re my loyal peasant?”
He nodded solemnly. “Peasant. Fanboy. Mascot. I’ll take what I can get.”
---
Later, when the neon lights dimmed and the place shifted into “glow bowling” mode, Bobby looked at you with a grin, his cheeks painted with pink and green streaks from the blacklight.
“Alright,” he said. “Winner of the next frame gets a prize.”
You tilted your head. “What kind of prize?”
He shrugged. “Anything.”
“Anything?”
He nodded. “Anything… within reason and local laws.”
You rolled your eyes but smiled. “You’re on.”
---
You bowled first — an 8. Not bad.
Bobby stepped up, took a deep breath, dramatically stretched his arms like he was about to pitch in the World Series…
…and got a 2.
He turned around slowly, blinking. “Did I… lose?”
You leaned in, grinning. “You *tragically* lost.”
He scratched the back of his neck, sheepish now. “So what’s my punishment? Public karaoke? Shaving my head?”
You hesitated, just long enough to build the tension — then quietly said:
“A kiss.”
Bobby froze.
“Unless you don’t want to,” you added quickly, cheeks heating.
He blinked. “No, no, I *do*—I mean, I want to. That sounds great. I just… wow. Okay.”
You giggled. “You’re babbling.”
“I only babble when I’m nervous.”
“Are you nervous?”
He looked at you — really looked at you — then leaned in, voice softer now. “Kind of. But mostly excited.”
You kissed him — quick and warm and a little shy.
When you pulled back, Bobby whispered, “That was definitely worth the gutter ball.”

You’ve got a bad history with men. Otto and Norman have a bad history with each other. Somehow, it all works out.
I am SO EXCITED to finally get to share the fic @bellafarallones invited me to collab on! It’s an expansion of their fic where the reader owns a bowling alley, can see ghosts, and has Norman and Otto competing for their affection.
It’ll update regularly, and I hope you enjoy it!
I was reading a human AU fanfic and the (young) David mentioned going bowling to Armand. Immediately, because that's just how it is, Lestat came to mind. I had the biggest laugh because, Human AU or not, he would either be humbled by the lanes or rule them as a god.
But seriously, as a vampire he would have to get over the sensory overload (loud noise and human stink) and controlling the ball so that he does destroy the ball and building. Can you imagine this man customizing bowling balls? Designing the proper attire and shoes. It would be a glorious mess. Eventually he would build his own, I guess lol. Someone draw that lol.
