✨Cheap Witch Supplies: UK/EU ver.✨

I've seen loads of Americans/Canadians post about where they get cheap witch supplies, and I haven't seen a UK one yet so I thought I'd make one :)

•Flying Tiger

For those who don't have this absolutely adorable shop near them, it's basically IKEA, but it's Danish and it's generally known for cute little decorations, fun stationary and whole bunch of other things.

They have a massive range of candles here and they're fairly cheap! They generally range from 20p to £1 each and they pretty much have every colour you'll ever need. They also have big bags of herbs that are all just £1! I have lavender, basil, parsley and pink Himalayan salt from here, but they have all sorts of herbs and spices, pretty much everything you can think of, really. I also have two fake plants from Flying Tiger, and they're so cute! Both were about £3 each. They have so many markers and coloured pens/pencils too, which are really good if you want to write intentions or sigils in a specific colour

•Poundland

An obvious choice, but they have more than I ever thought I could find in a pound shop.

Obviously, they have candles and stationary, but one thing I didn't expect to find there was insence??? They have a good range too, like wtf?? They also have small bowls which are good for offerings if you work with deities or other entities!

Speaking of deities, if you're like me and you work with deities associated with love, desire, or anything similar, go to Poundland right. Now. They have so much heart and rose shaped shit bc it's almost Valentine's Day and it's all £1 each.

They also have cheap birthday candles which I think are easier to use than the bigger candles bc they burn faster, but if you wanna use the big ones then that's up to you.

•The Works

I was really surprised to find this, but The Works actually have a whole bunch of books on spells, tarot, Wicca, crystals, meditation, and witchcraft in general. They're all pretty fairly priced in my opinion, but if you wait for sales then you'll get even better deals.

I also found those clear glass jars lots of people like to use for spell jars. I think they're 6 for £1? I can't remember, but if you want to do spell jars, go to The Works. And they have the obvious stationary, but I think it's a little bit overpriced in there. Cute, but expensive.

What was also surprising to see were Oracle card sets??? Idk if they're for real or not bc I work with Tarot, not Oracle, but I've seen them in there before so if you want some cheap Oracle cards, there you go!

•Primark

I've also found some nice candles here, and they have those reed diffusers, if you're into those. But, the main thing I'm mentioning Primark for is the fake plants. They have big ones, small ones, hanging ones, potted ones, every kind of fake plant you can imagine, and they're a good price. I have two mini ones and they were like £2.50 each, so if you're like me and you kill plants unintentionally but you want plants on your altar, I'd recommend them as well as the Flying Tiger ones.

Wow, this one was POTENT!!

Perhaps it’s because I picked the wild chamomile myself. I am going to go back early one morning as the patch was in a ruined church’s yard, though not on the graveyard side of the building. I have a relationship with the site which might have boosted the energies. It’s very close to my house and a beautiful escape when I just need to get away from an urban setting.

This was intended to be a calming, healing bath spell and it worked VERY well! I have fibro and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and my right shoulder is very wobbly and hasn't been healed of torn muscles and mechanical problems for over a month now, I’m getting pins and needles and starting to worry about nerve damage :( so I wanted something specifically soothing and gentler than my fibro remedy bath.

Ingredients:

○ Wild Chamomile from the UK - picked in the evening because I happened upon it on a walk. A handful.

○ Mallow flower. I found this in an Eastern European supermarket which also stocked hawthorn! A handful of this is what gave the bath it’s lovely blue colour. Mallow grows pretty much all over the world and there are loads of different types. It’s good for coughs and chest problems when drunk as a tea.

○ A bit of lavender oil. I’m from Norfolk and am going to try and hunt out essential oil grown up by where I was born & where I have some happy childhood memories when I go visit in 2 weeks, which I’m very excited about!

○ About 500g of Epsom Salts because we aren’t messing around here. Let that stuff soak in for 20 minutes for a good effect.

That’s it! Whatever else you’d want to do to personalise it, whether it’s getting plants from nearby or adding coloured candles to focus on, that’s up to you!
