Enjoy these walnut brownies made with browned butter. They have a lot of great flavors. The nutty smell of the browned butter gives these chocolatey brownies more depth, and the crunchy walnuts make the texture really fun.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 175F 350C. A square 8-inch baking pan should be greased and floured. Set the butter in a small saucepan and melt it over medium-low heat. It will take about 5 to 7 minutes of stirring often cooking until the butter turns golden brown and smells nutty. Take it off the heat and let it cool down a bit. Beat the browned butter and sugar together in a large bowl until they are well mixed. Add the eggs one at a time and then the vanilla extract. Add the flour, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder one by one. Mix it up until it's just right. Mix in the chopped walnuts. Place the batter in the baking pan that has been prepared and spread it out evenly. After the oven is hot, bake it for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out with moist crumbs but no wet batter. Let the brownies cool all the way in the pan before you cut them into squares.

Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter. 4-5 sprigs fresh thyme. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 cup brown sugar. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 egg. 1 egg yolk. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. While the butter is on medium heat, melt it in a saucepan. Now add the fresh thyme sprigs and cook until the butter turns golden brown and smells like nuts. Take it off the heat and let it cool down. After the butter has cooled, strain it to get rid of the thyme leaves. Put the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and mix them together with a whisk. In a different bowl, mix the browned butter with thyme, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until everything is well mixed and smooth. To the butter and sugar mix, add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Add everything together and mix until it's smooth. Slowly add the dry flour mixture to the wet mixture and mix just until everything is combined. The chocolate chips should be carefully mixed in. Place spoonfuls of cookie dough on the baking sheet that has been prepared, leaving space between each one. After the oven is hot, bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the middle is still a little soft. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way down.
