Akutagawa didn't recruit Kyouka into the port mafia. He did not do that. And also I feel like strapping a bomb to a child and telling her to not 'take iff the bomb off so she can take the passengers with her to show how formidable the mafia is' is abuse. And no it wasn't Verlain. It was Akutagawa, he told her to do that.

Now, Akutagawa could have killed her, but instead he brought her into the Mafia, because he related to her.

Also, I never said Akutagawa wasn't abusive. I said his abuse stemmed from the Mafia environment, and wasn't directed towards Kyouka personally, the way Dazai's was towards Akutagawa. My take is that the whole, "abuse cycle" thing is fanon and the most surface-level read on these relationships.

Akutagawa is treating Kyouka with the same respect as he would himself. He experienced lonliness, starvation, freezing in the streets, being attacked and pursued by criminals who'd want nothing more than to exploit children (re: Beast Akutagawa's experiences, safe to assume shared across timelines) he knows what's out there.

Akutagawa took Kyouka into the Mafia, because he believes it's better than the slums, which is what he (reasonably) believes awaits an orphaned 14 year old girl with no support system whatsoever. Meanwhile, Dazai took Akutagawa into the Mafia, fully planning to groom him into a personal pawn. Weapon. Chess piece in the fight against Fyodor.

Lastly, I don't have a screenshot of it, but Verlaine teaching Kyouka was mentioned in Stormbringer. Akutagawa is not a PM executive, he cannot have his own subordinate the way Dazai did, he has people he works with and whom work under him, but he's not directly responsible for them.

This really isn't that hard to grasp, guys, please just read the manga and maybe a light novel or two.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you think Dazai wants to touch the tiger

Alright, so I did a little thinking about it, and I came to the conclusion that it would change after a while.

At first, he's not really thinking about necessarily interacting with the tiger. Of course, he's in awe of the pure presence of that form. Yet he prefers the softer moments with him, cupping his face, brushing his hair, hugging, or latching onto him in any way possible. That's where the scale would be around 3-4.

But that changes when he sees Tiger Atsushi interacting with others, cuddling up to them. Suddenly, jealousy hits him. Now he does crave to touch the untamed side of Atsushi, to run his fingers through the fur, to look straight into the slitted eyes that, despite there being no real danger, still make him shiver. The score straight up shoots up to 9-10.

Though, thinking even outside of it, Dazai with a tiger would be a menace (if his ability did not work on him, of course). I bet he would find any excuse in the book to drop himself on him, just to get his face pressed against the fur and make him drag him along whenever.

Ahh I love the new pfp! I remember when the official art dropped I sent it to my friend (other Fyodor rper) immediately. He wasn't very impressed tho 😅
