I had to witness that nightmare of a scene again.

And it slipped from my mind that despite exposing Flint, Gates still wanted to save him from the crew's trial and inevitable consequences that would have followed.

He wanted to protect their crew, and still couldn't find it in him to condemn Flint to death; he just didn't know that for Flint the faith Hal wanted to secure him was one far worse than death.

But Gates was willing to do his best to save and protect everyone he could take care of until the very end.

I recognize this pain again, I can feel my heart bleed again from the wound this moment inflicted me 12 years ago. 💔

I find it really interesting that Billy was the main reason behind Flint and Gates break up in partnership. And now he is AGAIN responsible for the the break up between Flint and Silver.

What is more interesting is that (according to TI) Flint will end up giving Billy the map to the treasure.
