BTS Reaction: Their s/o gets hurt because of them
REQUEST: “Can I request BTS react to their s/o slipping on the mess she asked them to clean up several times, only to fall and break her leg while they’re out with the guys?”
I took some liberties with this so it wouldn’t be basically the same thing for all the members. It’s basically “their s/o asks them to clean up a mess, but they don’t, and then their s/o gets hurt because of it”.
Also, sorry for using a specific physical trait (height) on Jin’s, I just liked the concept for that one (plus I’m short so it came to mind).

Namjoon: Things being broken in your house was not an unusual occurrence by any stretch of the imagination. Your boyfriend’s nickname as “the god of destruction” was unfortunately very appropriate. By now, after having to make what seemed like a million repairs during your first months in the house, you THOUGHT you had finally Joon-proofed things after living there for more than a year. Still, some things simply could not be made 100% unbreakable. When Namjoon somehow broke the handrail on the stairs, you were unsurprised. You were used to this kind of thing, though, so you simply asked him to fix it while you were away for a weekend for a girls trip. You returned home to an empty house, as expected considering you knew Namjoon’s practice schedule. You had seriously overpacked, so you were a little off balance carrying your insanely heavy overnight bag up the stairs. You lost your balance, grabbing for the handrail, which was, to your dismay, still broken. You went tumbling down the stairs. That was how you ended up with a broken leg. Imagine your boyfriend’s surprise when he called you to ask why you weren’t home yet and you told him you were in the emergency room. He, of course, rushed to your side and was horrified to learn that his failure to repair the handrail was the reason for your fall. He was consumed by guilt, and for the next few weeks as you recovered he completely babied you. He felt so bad about it that he became annoyingly protective, literally letting you do nothing on your own. You couldn’t be too annoyed, though, because you knew he was doing it out of love.
Jin: Not being tall enough to reach the top shelves in the kitchen was a huge pain. Thankfully you had a super helpful worldwide handsome to grab things for you when you needed them, at least most of the time, since the top shelf items weren’t used very often. One day you had decided to have the boys over for breakfast, so you had asked Jin to get the waffle maker down from the top of the cabinets before you went to bed the night before. You had gone to bed before him, so you just assumed he would do it before coming to bed later. You got up early the next morning, deciding to let Jin sleep since work had once again kept him up very late. You went to the kitchen and started gathering ingredients and the necessary cooking utensils, only to discover that Jin had forgotten to get the waffle maker down. It wasn’t that you were annoyed by that, you understood that he had much more important things on his mind. But now you found yourself standing on a chair, wobbling as you stood on your tiptoes to try and grab the waffle maker. Just as you finally grabbed what you were reaching for, you lost your balance and fell off the chair. Next thing you knew you were on the ground with a huge bruise on your leg from where the waffle maker had fallen. Awakened by the crashing noise, Jin rushed into the kitchen to see what had happened. He felt horrible, thinking that he was the reason you got hurt. He insisted you rest, carrying you back to your bedroom before calling the boys to cancel the breakfast plans. He took over the cooking and brought you breakfast in bed, then spending the next few hours completely reorganizing the kitchen cabinets so that the top shelf was left entirely unused.
Yoongi: Yoongi returning home after you were already in bed was a very regular occurrence, but that wasn’t the problem at the moment. He had a tendency to come inside, throw his shoes off right where he stood, and then leave the shoes there in front of the door while he went to bed. It was very annoying to you, so you asked him to please stop doing that and at least move the shoes out of the way. One night you woke up at 4 am because Holly needed to go to the bathroom. You tried to switch on a light, discovering that the power was out. Knowing your home so well, you thought nothing of navigating your way through the house in the dark. You put Holly on his leash and opened the door to go out, only to trip over Yoongi’s discarded shoes, hitting your head on the doorframe as you fell. Somehow the thud of your fall failed to wake your boyfriend, so you yelled to him. The injury to your head wasn’t serious, thankfully. The wound was small and the bump that arose would go away quickly, but in the short term the impact was enough to give you a killer headache and make you dizzy. Yoongi felt awful about causing your accident, taking care of you and insisting you rest in bed in the dark to give your head a rest. It did not escape your attention that over the next week he surprised you with all your favorite foods and kept a close eye on you. You also noticed the shoe rack he put by the door, and that he always stored his shoes neatly after that.
Hoseok: A glass candle had gotten knocked off a shelf in your and Hoseok’s bathroom. You asked him to clean it up, but he completely forgot to do it before he left for practice. It really wasn’t a big deal that he forgot. You were perfectly capable of doing it yourself, you had only asked him to do it because you were in the middle of something at the time. However, Hoseok had gotten ready in such a rush that there was water all over the floor from his shower. You slipped, but when you went to catch yourself your hand landed on the broken glass. Your hand was cut and there were shards of glass lodged into your palm. They were numerous and deep enough that you went to the hospital just to make sure the wound was properly treated. You went home after that, cleaning up the bathroom before moving on with your day. When Hoseok returned home, he noticed your heavily bandaged hand. When you told him what had happened, he completely freaked out to the point of overreaction. He was so extremely worried about you and felt completely responsible for what had happened to you. Over the next few days he was attentive to changing your bandages and making sure you were healing properly. He also brought you small surprises to make you smile, like flowers or your favorite candy. It took him a long time to get over his sense of guilt, even when your hand had healed fully.
Jimin: Jimin had just returned from a trip. He was so excited to see you that he left his (metal exterior) suitcase in the middle of the living room. You noticed, saying “don’t leave that there” before becoming entirely distracted by your happiness to see him. You had missed each other so much that you immediately went to cuddle and watch a movie in bed. The suitcase was totally forgotten. Jimin didn’t even think about unpacking, fully occupied by getting to spend time with you after a long time away. The two of you eventually went to sleep. Hours later in the middle of the night you woke up thirsty, extracting yourself from Jimin’s tight embrace without waking him, which was a feat in and of itself. You went through the living room on your way to the kitchen to get a glass of water. In the darkness you ran straight into the suitcase, tripping over it. Your hip hit the edge of the suitcase really hard. The noise woke Jimin and he ran to your side in a panic, interrogating you to check for injuries with extreme worry. Big tears welled up in his eyes as he apologized for leaving the suitcase there, feeling responsible for you getting hurt. You assured him that you didn’t blame him and that you would be fine. You ended up with a huge black and green bruise on your hip but you were otherwise unharmed. After that Jimin was kind of paranoid about your safety, not letting you do anything that had even the slightest chance of hurting you in any way. You thought he was clingy before? He literally became your shadow in his effort to protect you. You argued that you weren’t even that badly hurt, saying that you were perfectly capable of doing things for yourself, but you couldn’t bring yourself to be too annoyed at his way of showing how much he loved you.
Taehyung: One reality of having a dog was dealing with messes like muddy paw prints on the floors. Even though you had long ago been established as Yeontan’s mom, Taehyung still considered it his job to clean up Tannie-related messes when he could. He was a well-behaved pup, but all dogs necessitate some level of cleanup. You appreciated Tae’s effort to do a share of household cleaning tasks, but there was just one issue. He had a tendency to use way too much floor cleaning product, leaving the floors extremely slippery. You had asked him to use less of it, or at least warn you when he had done it so you could be extra careful. Well, one day he forgot to warn you. You were walking through the living room, in socks no less, when you totally wiped out, slipping on the floor and falling down. You were fine, but you ended up sore and with a lot of bruises from hitting the ground so hard. Tae felt awful when he saw the state you were in, feeling responsible for your getting hurt. He tried to at least somewhat make it up to you by surprising you with takeout of your favorite foods and a movie night together on the sofa, of course including your baby Tan. You were never upset with him in the first place, but if it got you a perfect night in with your two favorite boys, you weren’t complaining. From then on Tae would literally put a sticky note on the wall to warn you when he had cleaned the floors to prevent a repeat of that little mishap.
Jungkook: Your boyfriend could be forgetful when it came to cleaning up after himself. Jungkook had good intentions, but it tended to completely slip his mind, leaving a mess behind. He had been up much later than you gaming with some friends one night, and when he finally went to sleep tidying up was the last thing on his mind. He left the controller and the headset in the middle of the floor. You had to wake up super early the next morning for work, so when you walked into the living room half-asleep, you weren’t really paying much attention. Your foot got caught in the headset and tripped you, twisting your ankle painfully as you fell. You yelled to Jungkook, who shot up out of bed and ran to you after hearing your tone of voice, strained from the pain in your ankle. He felt absolutely awful, feeling totally at fault for your injury. He went with you to the hospital to have your ankle checked to make sure nothing was broken, but as you suspected it was only a sprain. Still, it hurt a lot and made getting around difficult. You got crutches to use when you were out, but when you were at home Jungkook insisted on carrying you from room to room and doing a lot of things for you so you didn’t have to spend time standing much. He totally babied you until your ankle had healed enough for you to move around on your own without pain.
