Hi guys we have brand new exclusive moves!!!! they’re called hoopde doop, fiddly diddly, and hooty hoo
I love how in the Indigo Disk there are new filters for photos you can get and two of them are named after moves exclusive to Let’s Go! Eevee (Buzzy Buzz and Sizzly Slide, the latter of which Tangy (my Eevee in Let’s Go! Eevee) knows) but only those two. None of the other (more popular) Eeveelutions got the moves based on them appearing as filters. I think it might have been intended as a reference to how the Past Paradox Pokémon are positively impacted by Sunny Day (a Fire-type move like Sizzly Slide) while the Future Paradox Pokémon are positively impacted by Electric Terrain (an Electric-type move like Buzzy Buzz). I honestly can’t think of a better reason they would do this
I think the weirdest thing is that they didn’t include Bouncy Bubble
Fun fact (according to Bulbapedia): in the Indigo Disk DLC there are camera effects named after Buzzy Buzz and Sizzly Slide, Partner Eevee’s signature moves based on Jolteon and Flareon, but none of Partner Eevee’s other signature moves (or any of Partner Pikachu’s signature moves), not even Bouncy Bubble, get this treatment
I’ll be honest, I think the original Japanese names for these moves give me less second hand embarrassment than the English names (I love these moves anyway but the names are weird)
Uhh… nevermind… actually these ones are some of the weirder English names anyway so I still think the Japanese names work better
Also in general I think the name Sparkly Swirl isn’t that bad (Bouncy Bubble is alright too)
Also partly related but while screenshotting these I realised that my desire to have these as the Eeveelution’s signature moves isn’t unjustified. Why should the Eeveelutions be given these moves? So Flareon has a STAB move to take advantage of its high physical attack stat without knocking itself out in the process (I think it can actually learn Flame Charge (I mean the Vulpix line can so why can’t a more bulky Gen 1 Fire Stone evolution learn it?) but despite discovering it’s a variation of Chilling Water and Trailblaze I always think it does recoil damage because of Flare Blitz)
Hmmmmm I think I just electrocuted myself a lil
