What isn't there to love about the idea of MCU Bucky becoming Captain America?

It's the right thing to do, isn't it? He was the one who watched him fall. (He tried to catch him but he only caught his tags. The bitter cold tore him away in the blink of an eye, with a scream that Bucky hears when he tries to sleep.) Steve was the best of them both, and if he thought this cause was one to die for, then Bucky would finish it. He's followed him this far, hasn't he? Long enough for the bruises Zola gave him to fade, but not enough that hearing his voice in that train wouldn't make him freeze. (What if he finds him? What if he go back there, strapped down, poked and prodded and injected with God knows what -)

But besides that?

There's nothing.

He's known Steve almost his entire life. He barely remembers a time where there wasn't Steve. He once had him to himself, only he saw the goodness in him, he loved him first, but now he shared it with the world. Because of some holy serum; but the bastardized version of the same thing ran in his own veins, and Bucky knew deep down that he would never be Steve. He could try, but he could never be him to the world.

So why wouldn't he crash that plane?

He never wanted to be a weapon. But he wakes up, and it's asked of him again. Be a soldier. Be an officer. Be Captain America. His gun was an extension of himself, the shield of Steve, and he would never, ever drop either of them. (Not again. He dreamt of it, that scream still scratched into his brain no matter how much time had actually passed, seventy years or seven days.)

And then, one day, beyond his wildest dreams, he'd see him again. But this? This hollow ghost? This isn't the Steve he knows and loves. But he slips from his fingers again,

And on that helicarrier, the glass cracks beneath his feet, bullet wounds and serrated skin and black bruises, but he still has it in him - he catches him. Metal fingers that were foreign to him, but still, Steve.

Never again. Never without him.

The agents of SHIELD had all been in a commotion, well the ones that had the clearance level to know that the Winter Soldier had been apprehended. The lower level agents were given their tasks and sent about to do their agendas but there was very few agents that had the clearance to be around the soldier. He had been held in a containment unit designed for a super soldier.

The walls were padded like he was some insane asylum patient, but he was in a reinforced room. He sat in the chair that had been provided to him with his knees drawn up to his chest. He didn't speak. That was one of the things that most of agents had noticed aside from his disheveled appearance.

He looked like he had been through war and it wasn't far from the truth. He was a weapon of terrorism before he had gained back his agency. He sat in the chair, his face sunken and his scruffy beard was coated in dirt. His face was smeared with it from his time on the streets.

The soldier turned his head to the door when the Captain arrived. The Captain had been the first to be alerted about the Winter Soldier's capture. Most had thought him a ghost, few even knew his real name but the file on the table read "Steven Grant Rogers, The Winter Soldier."

Now sitting there staring at the Captain, he was waiting. It was a game of minds. Who would speak first? Would the Captain even want to speak to him? Would they just lock him away. Finally he opened his mouth and said in a bit of a mutter. "M'not him."

How I think Gotham Characters would react to BLM

Bruce🦇🧑🏻: He’d honestly be in-between the middle of supporting “Blue Lives Matter” and Black Lives Matter

Alfred🧼🧹: He dgaf, all he worried abt is making Bruce’s tea 🙄

Selina😎😺: 100000% for BLM, she’d get exposed for starting the looting at Target tho 💀

Barbara👱🏻‍♀️👜: She’d be participating in looting with Selina and screaming BLM at Jim

Jim🐷: 1000% against the looting and tries to arrest Barbara (Miserably fails tho)

Oswald🏳‍🌈🐧: He’s gay, ofc hes going to be by BLM, he’d put down his grudge for Tabitha for one day to help support BLM (donates, peaceful protests with citizens, ect)

Ed🤓🏳‍🌈:  He’d be with Oswald and help with donates and the peaceful protesters who were harmed. (Possibly threaten the police station)

Tabitha🤏🏽👩🏽: Peaceful Protests and when that doesn’t work for her, she starts looting with Selina and Barbara 💅🏽🤩

Fish👩🏾‍🦱🤩👜: BLACK QUEEN YES MAAM. She’d 1000% start protesting and if the police cause violence she’d get her army to help the protestors

Jerome👨🏻‍🦰🤡🔪: def would be for BLM and start chaos, mf be the one to start the riots and have his cult shoot up GCPD and scream at Jim “BLM!”

Jeremiah👨🏻‍🦰🤓🤡🔪: Lowkey depends. Pre spray would be with Bruce and try to peacefully negotiate with the protesters and help them but POST SPRAY would do exactly what Jerome would do, shoot up the GCPD in the name of justice  

Butch🧑🏻🔫: Just does what Tabitha does, so he’s for BLM with Tabby and Fish 💅🏽

Captain Barnes👨🏻‍🦲👮🏻‍♂️: 10000% FOR BLM SAY IM WRONG, HE HATES CORRUPTION. 1000% FOR THE PEACEFUL PROTESTERS BITCH HES A PROTESTER TOO💅🏽

Jervis: He’d hypnotize the police into not throwing tear gas, no in between 

Jonathan: He’d spray fear gas in the faces of the Police just for the fun of it, he’s still Gen Z so he’s for BLM
