Sunder (Born Giovanni Bianchi) serves as the overarching antagonist of the City of Chaos universe. Abandoned by his Scottish mother and raised solely by his Italian father, Giovanni grew into a brilliant 11th-century scholar and explorer of ancient artifacts. His life took a dark turn when he developed an obsession with a mythic artifact known as the Devil's Crux.

This relentless pursuit ultimately transformed him into a vampire, granting him immortality at a devastating price.

When his powers first manifested, Giovanni's instincts were uncontrollable. A first encounter with a woman in his village ended in tragedy, claiming her life and resulting in the birth of a child marked by the unnatural forces within him. Fearful and unable to contain the situation, the villagers acted swiftly. The child was executed, and Giovanni was brought before them, still a respected member of the community but now regarded as a dangerous vessel.

Though once admired, fear quickly turned the villagers' reverence into violence. Convinced he was possessed by Lucifer, they subjected him to exorcisms and scalding holy water, leaving him barely alive and his right side covered in permanent scars from head to thigh.

Salvation came in the form of Ysolde, an ancient vampire-witch hybrid known as the Bloodwitch. She rescued the broken scholar and taught him to survive, hunt, and master his newfound powers. Under her strict guidance, Giovanni learned discipline and self-restraint.

Ysolde also gifted him the Alchryx, a magical necklace that allowed him to conceal his extensive scars and suppress his dangerous fertility. For centuries, he remained in the shadows, honing his dark abilities and even taking up the violin shortly after its invention. Despite her warnings, his focus remained on the Devil's Crux, driven by the hope that it could restore his humanity.

Eventually adopting the alias Mackenzie Bianchi, he relocated to Scotland on an expedition tracing the Devil's Crux. There, he fell deeply in love with a mortal woman, Naomi Watson.

Defying her father Oliver's fierce disapproval, the two eloped. They took massive risks to build a life together, with Giovanni using his regenerative blood to sustain Naomi during her pregnancy, while she willingly became his primary blood donor to help tether his darker impulses. Their profound bond soothed a monstrous part of him that neither truly understood. Tragically, their happiness was shattered when Naomi and their unborn child were murdered. Oliver immediately blamed Giovanni for the bloodshed and rallied the townspeople to hunt him down, forcing him to flee Scotland.

Arriving in America, he shed his old identity entirely and rebirthed himself as Sunder. He embedded himself into Penumbra, a highly secretive vampire intelligence organization, and over the centuries amassed immense power, weaving complex blackmail networks and founding his own surrogate family, the Bianchi Coven, which operates as a semi-independent cell within Penumbra.

Yet, despite his vast cunning and influence, the shadow of his past continues to drive him. His centuries-long pursuit of the Devil's Crux is now fueled by a purpose he shares with no one, not even his closest allies, and the artifact's true role remains known only to him. Bloom is kind, quiet, and reserved, but hot-headed. She’s quick to socialize when given the chance, but for the most part she isn’t approached. Her closed off appearance, and messy, spiky red hair usually wards people off. So pre-Alfea, she tends to spend time alone drawing and taking walks, or helping her mother out at her flower shop.

She tends to be an over-thinker and quite emotional, but her negative feelings often blow over into anger or annoyance pushing her to take time for herself. At the beginning of the series she tends to be quite immature, not taking time to resolve conflicts and instead choosing to ignore it or blame others. Despite that, she has a strong knack for calling people out, often speaking harsh truths when it’s needed most.

As a kid she was always told stories about fairies, dragons, and knights by her father. But despite her father long since stopping in telling such bedtime stories, glimpses of fairies and peculiar encounters kept her belief strong even though she’s 16 years old. In school, this passionate belief would often get her in trouble with teachers or bullied by her peers. She doesn’t openly tell people her beliefs anymore, but some of her childhood classmates still make fun of her for it, like Mitzi.

Growing up she didn’t have that many friends, especially not close ones. Except for Selina, who was the only one who also believed in such fairytales. But a sudden move would cut their friendship short. And her first boyfriend, Andy, had drifted away when he began to focus on his music more than her. Near the end of 8th grade she was given Kiko; she’s had him for about 3 years now.

When she first met Stella, they were attacked by Knut and it awakened something in her. Before she was sent to Earth, Daphne cast a rune on her so Bloom’s powers nor her natural features would come into fruition. Not unless broken, whether magically or physically. And it just so happens tons of concrete fell on top of her.

After she finds out about her true origins, she questioned whether or not she should find her parents. To which she concludes it’s best left alone, that is, until her sister Daphne dies. And with her last breath, she told Bloom to find their parents.

Bloom is a quiet, stubborn, hot-head. If you don't mess with her, you probably won't even realize she's there. To those that get close to her or the she likes/loves more often than not see a softer, kinder side of her. And to animals, she'll always be kind to. She has a strong sense of creativity and is an amazing traditional artist. Often times, she'll carry around a sketch book or, very rarely, an art tablet. She's also a huge overthinker so she tends to calm her nerves and/or vent through art.

Her approach to her emotional state is to "fix" it on her own. She easily comes to terms with loss or sorrow because she convinces herself to, without allowing herself to grief. And because she disassociates herself with whatever it was that made her upset in the first place. But when she gets angry, she always finds a way to blame someone/something else.

When she was told her first fairytale as a kid, the concept of fairies, dragons, and other fantasy creatures stuck with her. She swears she catches glimpses of said creatures, which keeps her belief in them strong, even though she's 16 years old.

In school, her belief in fantasy not only got her in trouble with her teachers but with her peers too. They'd ake fun of her and that teasing and embarrassment still sticks with her. She doesn't openly tell people her beliefs anymore, but some of her older classmates still make fun of her for it, like Mitzi.

Strength, Intelligence, and Duty; the Three Honors of Zenith, to which every Zorya live by. Before coming to Alfea to study magic, Tessa spent as much time as she could studying technology, engineering, and past innovations; with some fitness on the side.

Speaking of which, she used to want to be a Track Leader; who's just 1st place for track athletes. So she'd train for her school and team competitions, getting ready for the Minor Leadership in Strength (mLS) which is essentially Olympics for minors. For years she was Track Leader for her school and team, and usually was top 3 for any other sport she played. But leading up to the mLS tryouts, Tessa got in an accident which resulted in her legs being crushed.

She was given prostetics, which she was quick to upgrade. Her superpowered, robot legs were fast, strong, and reliable. Although to others they were extremely heavy, to her, they were light as feathers. But when she went to tryout they didn't allow her to participate since it'd be unfair to the other participants if she had robotic legs. In general, any major sport competition or event didn't allow cybernetics.

So she gave up on be a Track Leader or any other sports Leader and continued studying tech and eventually magic. She learned to combine the two and contines to do so. But because of this she stays emotionally dormant and never developed close relationships, as she devoted all time to studying and engineering. Although she still works out when she can or feels she needs it.

As discussed in Tecna's Issue her emotional state doesn't allow her to transform, not fully. And she's self taught with most of her magic, since on Zenith magic is only fuel for machinery and nothing more. Which is why she enrolled to Alfea without telling her parents.

Tessa has a self-destructive nature. She doesn't allow herself to grieve, get sad, or angry unless it has to do with her innovations. And if it's for her innovations, she can go painful lengths to attain success. If her parents weren't there to stop her, she would've mutilated herself and possibly others just to experiment. Soon enough, the Winx and Timmy become close emotional supporters and make her realize value in her living body and in life in general.

Because of her strained relationship with her parents, she has trouble with authority. She left school to study on her own (which, I should mention, is illegal) so for a long time she didn't have to deal with teachers, counselors, or SROs. Tessa absolutely hates it when people tell her what to do.

Trivia.

She's Demisexual, Demiromantic and a Demigirl. She's just all demi...

• She goes through an existential journey throughout the story that'll make her remember that she's human and at that point she comes out as a Demigirl. Since she still doesn't fully feel like a human and therefore doesn't fully feel like her sex.

Her legs weigh 527Ibs on their own (she's only 115Ibs) and that alone is heavy enough to crush a human skull. You do NOT want to be kicked by her.

She still has immense phantom pains that she has to take medicines for, which are only produced in Zenith.

Her legs are partically resistent to water and other liquids, but they can't be submerged unless they're properly covered/protected.

Tessa's romantic interest in Timmy started from respect for his intellect. Timmy was one of the only ones who didn't see her legs as weird nor did he pity her for them. He was actually incredibly impresseed by it's power, it's model, and ingenuity.

Mostly due to her virtual reality games and workouts, she knows 4 different types of martial arts; only two of those are human.

Her first few weeks in Alfea are somewhat difficult because of her nocturnal nature. Zenith has no sun(s), they blew up eons ago, but they were able to survive by making a much weaker replica of one of the three Pillars, which they use to generate enough energy to power they're global heating and light systems. But they still live in the dark.

• She hopes to throughly study it and its blueprints to learn how to make more compact and smaller versions that can be mass produced. It'd help light away the dark on their planet and on many others.

She's moreso intelligent than clever.

She'd be a more efficent leader than Bloom, but less understanding and forgiving.

Musa Tang is a very rambunctious girl. She's confident, stubborn, and will almost always speak her mind. Almost. In pursuit of carving out a music career for herself, she has cheered herself on despite her fathers disapproval of her dream. Although she's quite proactive and quite active, she loves stay chill.

Unlike most of her people, Musa is loud and will fight back. A rare sight for Ayin kind. This is why her and Galaetea get along so well cause they both fight their flight instincts and will not stay quiet while in the presence of evil.

Her father, Barde Zhou, became a stern shut-in ever since the death of Musa's mother, his wife, Matlin Tang. In fear of music making Musa ill like it did to his wife, he shuttled her off to Alfea school of fairies to try and stop her from pursueing her dream. Of course, it didn't help.

Not only does her father disapprove of her aspiration, but he also disapproves of her aggressive, stubborn nature. The young are supposed to honor and respect their elders, the authority and of course their parents so her combative nature is an offense to him.

Prior to enrolling to Alfea, Musa use to hang out downtown in the next city over, Tenor. In Tenor there's tons of music bars and jazz clubs in comparison to Anthem, and they hold concerts and festivals almost weekly. She'd take the communal boat down Tang River, also know as "The Long River" to get there. She made a few friends there over time, but was never able to get very close with them due to the lack of time and the distance.

Often times, she'd skip school to hang out in Tenor. Or she'd just skip classses and hang out with other students. Her school was pretty poor and low maintence so shed get away with little to no consequence as the teachers didn't care.

Musa's approach to her emotional issues is to work on her music to distract herself. She's never been very good at talking about her feelings because ever since Matlin's death, and with the issues that followed, she struggled to open up to her father. Until the winx club, she had little to no friends to talk to other than Galaetea but due to her royal position it's difficult to hang out. That is until, the both eventually enroll into Alfea.

She can be very stubborn, especially when it comes to criticism because she feels others won't be able to understand why she does and/or acts the way she does. And when it comes to resistance against things she feels strongly about, she can get very pissy.

Musa hopes to open her own music pavilion and become a traveling musician. Although she isn't sure she wants it to be a one man band or to have a group. She's constantly pushing herself because she wants to finish what her mother started.

The planet is named Melody, she specifically comes from a town called Anthem, right next to Melody City the capital.

Her mother was pregnant during the time of her sickness, and Musa's baby sister was miscarried due to it.

Although at this point of time she'd never give up her fairy powers, but if she was given the choice originally, she would've been a witch. She admired how strong they are despite the fact that most of the world hates them because of what their founders did. And she can understand the concept of not allowing something they couldn't control define them.

Has a cultural hatred for Solarians/Solaria that she tries to ignore. But it's been instilled in her since she was a child so it's hard to do so.

Other than music, Musa is incredible at dance and poetry.

She's bisexual.

She has a strange knack of chewing on gums or mints constantly, tends to help her focus. And she tends to chew loudly, which is ironic because she has a pet peeve for loud chewing.

Musa knows how to do mongolian throat singing, and sing in two voices (which is technically the same thing but shh).

• On top of that, Ayins have two vocal chords and natural mimicing skills (voices and other sounds alike). So not only can she sing in two voices, but also speak in two voices... at the same time.

She's a night person since her species is (mostly) nocturnal.

In her spare time she'll go down to the outskirts of Magix to help out at an orphange. She tends to preform for the kids and teach them music.

She's a surprisingly good cook.
