I've done a lot of things with Caldren, so I think I'll switch it up this time and interview my gal Phoenix, the title character from my superhero novel.
Are you named after anyone?
Not a person. I'm named after the phoenix, duh. A bird that rises in flames from the ashes of defeat.
When was the last time you cried?
I don't cry. Crying is for the weak and powerless, and I am not either of those things. When something hurts me, I fight back, not cry about it.
Do you have kids?
No. I do have a... younger brother, sort of. I raised him pretty much all by myself, so I guess you could say he's like my kid. But I don't actually have any.
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Heh. Yeah, whenever I can.
What is the first thing you notice about people?
How strong they are, what their build is. Whether I could take them in a fight. Whether they'll run or try to be a hero and attack me.
What’s your eye color?
The color of fire and coals burning the flesh of those who've hurt me.

Any special talents?
I have gloves that can create and control fire. They're pretty hard to use. I can also fight really well. It's what I was trained for my whole life.
Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings aren't real, and who needs scary movies when your whole life is a nightmare? *Bitter laugh.* Ash can't handle the scary stuff, so we generally watch kid stuff, when we're allowed to watch movies at all.
Where were you born?
Dunno. My... I don't know what to call him, the jerk who raised me, he found me as a toddler. Somewhere around here, I guess. Who cares?
Do you have any pets?
No. The last thing I need is something else to feed and take care of.
How tall are you?
I don't know exactly, but a little shorter than average. Somewhere around five feet tall? Don't let that fool you though. I'm still really powerful.
What was your favorite subject in school?
(Sarcastically) What's school? *Laughs* We mostly just had fighting training and stuff like that. I did like to read about old wars and stuff when I could get ahold of books. And I really loved art. Looking at it and making it. Not that I was allowed to make art, but sometimes you just gotta graffiti a wall even if you'll get beaten for it.
What is your dream job?
Taking vengeance on my enemies, defeating the superheroes, and finally having the chance to live the life I deserve. Huh? Yeah, I know supervillain isn't an actual job, but who cares? Besides, I'm not the villain here anyway.

Mother:
She smiles and feels her heart beat so strongly, it feels like it's ready to burst out of her chest. This is just too cute.
"Oh my treasure, my darling little one." she places both her hands over her heart and her eyes feel a little misty.
"I appreciate that so much more than you'll ever know, but you don't ever have to worry about me. I want you to grow up big and strong enough that you can make your own family and home anywhere you want!"
She leans over and pulls you into a tight, warm hug, "I will always love you, no matter what happens. And I pray that whatever might happen, that you'll still love me too..."

My questions: - When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? - If you could travel in time, where would you go and why? - What does your bed look like? (shape, size, number of pillows, stuffed animals, ...)
I have too many OCs, and too much ideas, which one could answer these... So I made a list and let a random number generator decide on two characters. We got: Ryee from sᴘᴀʀᴋs, ɢʟɪᴍᴍᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ ғʟᴀᴍᴇs and Evette from just write
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Ryee: I used to admire Nimk. My parents told me stories about him and I used to see his ship from afar. I wanted to become a sailor just like him. And at some point, Nimk himself invited me to join his crew. And now I'm part of it. Even though we lost him, I'm proud being a part of the crew.
Evette: When I was very little, I wanted to be vet or a magical girl, like many others. I think when I was around 13 years old, I begun with photography and I wished to make a living with it. After the catastrophes and the aftermath of it, my only wish for the future was to survive. It still is. But after the whole TerraNex-Mess, I started to make pics again. Dean really helped me and often he joins me too. I realized how important memories can be and with photography, I can understand my mind a bit more, even if it doesn't actually makes sense. ᵂʰʸ ᵃᵐ ᴵ ˢᵗⁱˡˡ ᵗᵃˡᵏⁱⁿᵍ
If you could travel in time, where would you go and why?
Ryee: Tough question. Our childhood was not perfect and could definitely be better. Ether, I would play out the arrivals from my friends again. I really wanna see their little faces again, when they first joined the crew. Oh boy, Lia was almost as red as her hair! But on the other side, I wanna know, if we really succeed. If the childhood of the future generations would be better than ours.
Evette: Definitely the past. I would give so much to see my parents again without just living the memory. I want to hug them again, say things, I never thought about saying back then and spend my time with them. I could try stopping them, so they won't be in Japan when the meteorites hit there.
What does your bed look like?
Ryee: I mostly sleep in my hammock on the Miststorm II. I have a blanket in there and use my arm as pillow. My hammock is right next to a wall and Stak made me a ... thing to place my hook there. A few meters away from my hammock is Koyls hammok. He rarely sleeps at night there so most times, I am save from his snoring.
Evette: My bed is made from a light brown wood. I have two blankets, one is really soft and I use it in cold nights, the other blanket is very thin and almost too small for me. I have one long pillow and one cat-snake plushie, that could be used as pillow to. Right next to my bed is a small night stand, with a few pictures (plus more pictures in the drawers, but I don't talk about these - bad memories). I have a small donkey stuffed animal and a lamp to read at the edge of my bed.

Q: How would you describe Book 2?
A: Piece a work, isn't it? I mean, things seem longer this time. After everything that went down last time, I'd've thought we were almost done by now.
Q: How has the series evolved from Book 1 to Book 2?
A: Evolved? Well, we're all a little more traumatized, if that counts. Does that count? I don't know. We didn't know anything back then. I guess we just... do now. A little.
Q: What's ahead for your character in this Book?
A: Some stability would be nice, if I had my way. No, more like too many voices and old enemies. Some change is coming. I... can't say more than that.
Q: How will the end of Book 1 affect Book 2?
A: Well, we left you off good, didn't we? So we're all coding happy, right? *snorts* Maybe not. But, we're... closer, I guess. Almost... well, we're friends.
Q: Are things easier in Book 2 because of all that's already happened?
A: I don't know if I'd go so far as to say they're easier. We're a little faster, little stronger. Not quite so dumb.
Q: Are there some new dynamics to explore?
A: Dynamics? I'm guessing you mean between the six of us? Maybe? We have some time together, which is nice. I guess. And then there's like... new people barging in. Which is not nice. So... yeah.
Q: What can you say about the story you're telling in Book 2?
A: Well, I don't think I'm telling any story in particular. Adenrore, I don't have the time. But if I had to tell one, I hope my story in Book 2 is... more open. More willing. Kinder.
Q: What do you want readers to know going in?
A: You only see so much. You only get to know so much. Same as us. And we're just people. Same as you.
