Heyyy! I love the idea of Chloe Charming x fem reader who is Red’s sister (or some other villain). And the reader has never felt loved by anyone until she met Chloe but she’s scared to fall in love her. So basically the reader is like “I don’t know what love feels like.” And Chloe is like “Maybe I can teach you.” Sort of like Ben and Mal :)
Angst/comfort
I’m sorry if this is really confusing, but I didn’t really know how else to describe it. Hope that doesn’t sound rude!
⚔️Chloe Charming x Reader⚔️
Reader pronouns: she/her
Pairing: Chloe Charming x fem! reader
Plot: Reader is the daughter of the Big Bad Wolf. A VK. She doesn't know how to love or what it feels like. But a certain blue haired princess is determined to help with that. Even after the reader ran out on her.
Word Count: 1.3k
Extra: I recently discovered not everyone knew the iconic "I don't know what love feels like" came from Mal and Ben. And what I have to say about that: Go watch Descendants 1! So amazing. Reader is kinda super dramatic in this. Hope you enjoy this even though it's short🫶
It wasn't really like in the books or movies. You didn't 'wolf out' or go uncontrollably insane every full moon. It was more like your chest felt heavy, you legs ached, and your head pounded.
Going out to be in the moonlight didn't necessarily help, but you needed to get away. Far away from the hurt, but it only followed.
You walked through the trees and grass, pulling your thin red coat tightly around you as the wind sent chills through you.
Maybe it was a bad time coming out on a full moon in the cold. Maybe it was a bad idea to run off because you didn’t know how to handle what happened. How could you have handled it? Smiled and hugged her? Kissed her?
The thought just made you shiver again.
You finally stopped at a small clearing in the woods. There was a small bench there that you’d come to when you didn’t have anywhere to go.
You sat on the bench and sighed, looking up into the sky. You could hardly see the stars, all covered by clouds with only the moon peaking through and the light reflecting off your eyes.
You tried taking a deep breath but it only came out shaky. You clenched your fists and your abnormally sharp nails dug into the palms of your hands. You were trying everything to just calm down but you couldn’t.
You held your hand against the tree that was ingrown into the side of bench, digging your nails into the bark, as if trying to let out your pent up frustration somehow. And the full moon definitely wasn’t helping.
There was a sudden rustle coming from the direction you came from, you immediately jumped up, ready for whatever would jump out of the darkness. But what did jump out was a girl. A girl with big blue curly hair with a couple of leaves and sticks stuck in it and a worried expression on her face. Though she visibly relaxed when she saw you.
You on the other hand rolled your eyes and slumped back into the bench, “Why are you here, Chloe?”
She tried ruffling the leaves and twigs out of her hair as she slowly approached you, “You just ran off… I wanted to make sure you were okay…” she explained, settling in the seat next to you on the bench.
“Well, I’m fine. So you can leave now.” You huff, refusing to even look at her.
Chloe sighed, “Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you upset… but you shouldn’t be out here by yourself.”
A scoff escapes your lips, finally deciding to look at Chloe, “I’m half wolf. I think I can handle taking a walk by myself.” You say with a snarky bite in your tone. You really really hate talking like that. Especially to Chloe, your one and only friend. But it was like a shield. The attitude is what kept you from getting hurt. That’s what you thought at least, but it never seemed to work.
“That’s not what I meant—“ Chloe paused and took a breath, as if trying to find the right words, “Just… please talk to me. I get if you don’t feel the same way…” she trailed off for a minute, “But I don’t understand why you just ran off like that.”
You wished more than anything you could just make her understand. But someone like her couldn’t really understand you. Not really. You had to look away from her again. Seeing the moon in her eyes and the light making her blue hair look like it was glowing made you wish you could just grab her and kiss her.
“I don’t understand either. I don’t understand why you feel like that anyway…” you Mutter before continuing, “I mean, you’re a literal princess and I’m some villain kid. Not a reformed villain kid who aced goodness class, just some kid who gets in trouble and will inevitably follow in her dads foot steps.” Your voice slowly started to raise as you spoke. Like all of your emotions were about to start spilling out.
“That’s not true—“
“No. It is true.” You suddenly stood up from the bench, facing Chloe, “Why are you so convinced that I’m like you? I’m not some princess who goes around smiling at everyone I see! I’m not like you. Your mom and dad taught you how to sword fight for fun and good manners. What do you think my dad taught his daughter? How to be nice? How to be a good team player?”
Chloe stood up shortly after you finished your tangent. She carefully took one of your hands into both of hers. You wanted to pull away but you didn’t. He hands were soft and warm compared to the sharp chill that filled the forest, “What I think, is that none of that matters. You’re your own person, and I see the good in you. The real you. I don’t think you like antagonizing people, I don’t think you like following in your dad’s footsteps. I think you like school, and being on the track team, and being around the people that love you.” Her voice was so soft and sweet. It was so understanding it was almost annoying. But her voice was soft and she was gorgeous, especially underneath the moon. You had to look away again.
There was a long pause before you even spoke again. She was right. You didn’t like running around and scaring people. You didn’t like taking and breaking things. You just wanted to be you. But all that came out of your mouth was,
“I don’t know what love feels like…”
Chloe smiled softly. Everytime she smiled it felt like your heart would beat so loud that anyone around could hear it. She had a smile the shone brighter than the moon, a smile you’d be lucky to see just once in your life.
She gently grabbed your chin and turned your face to look at her, “Maybe I can teach you.”
And there it was again. Your heart beating so loud you thought it’d alert the birds sleeping in their nests.
And now more than anything you really wanted to kiss her, but everything in your head was stopping you.
“You don’t know that you can…”
Chloe’s hand leaves your chin and runs down your arm, “I’m willing to try. Because… I love you. I love you for you. And I want you to believe that.”
That was the first time you’ve ever heard those words from anyones mouth to you. It felt… nice. Nice but scary. The idea of letting her in and the potential of getting stabbed in the back later. Being vulnerable was never something you were allowed to do, even as a little kid you weren’t.
“I’m not ready…” you pause and then rephrase yourself, “I’m not ready for a relationship…. But… if you’re willing to wait for me… maybe something will work out.” You say quietly. You felt your face heat up, basically admitting your own feelings for the girl.
Chloe’s expression turned bright, she immediately wrapped her arms around you, pulling you in tightly. And damn did she give the tightest hugs in the world.
You wanted to push her off and remind her how you felt about the hugging… but you didn’t. You felt warm and calmed. You felt safe almost. Not quite, but almost.
“I will always wait for you. I’ll follow you to the ends of the earth. No matter how long it takes, I’ll be right there for you. No matter what.” Chloe finally says, breaking away from the hug and looking you in the eyes. She always knew exactly what to say to make your heart flutter and your face hot.
And for the third time this encounter you wanted to kiss her again. You wanted to grab her face and smash your lips into hers, but you didn’t. It was probably best to start things slow. You’d work your way up to that one day.
The clouds cleared and you could see the sparkling specks of stars in the sky. For once in your life, you felt at peace on a full moon. You could think clearly, you could stand tall, and it was all thanks to one knightly princess.

Pairing: Charming x Neutral!Reader
Summary: After having a talk with Regina and taking a walk, words are exchanged with David.
Request: Hi, this is my first time requesting something so I'm sorry if I'm not clear. Could you write a Charming x Male Reader (or neutral), where reader possesses magical abilities (related to the Regina), but the reader was always a good person and Charming fell for him. Sorry if it's not clear. Thanks anyway.
People could use magic. That was a well known fact. How the person used this magic depended on them and their actions, their thoughts and what the world meant to them.
You chose different from your sister, Regina. She lost the love of her life, and it twisted and broke something inside her. It was hard for her. You did what you could as the younger brother. But things had been hard on you both - what with your mother being hard on you both every day.
But neither of you wanted to turn out like your mom.
“Why do you have to be such a good person?” Regina asked you one day. You shrugged, leaning back in your chair to look up at your sister.
“Maybe I just get past all the bullshit in life?”
Regina looked displeased at the slight jab, but didn’t set you on fire so you figured she wasn’t that mad. “Sometimes I wished I turned out more like you than I did like mom.”
“Mom manipulated you. She didn’t care much for me and my magic, so I get less of the force of her. You were just really unlucky,” you said, not entirely sure what else you were supposed to say to her.
Regina hadn’t been lucky with her relationship with your mother, but that was how life was sometimes. And you had tried to do your best, given the circumstances.
“Being good apparently makes me attractive, which I wasn’t expecting,” you said, which brought a laugh out of Regina. “You’d think that Nolan would figure out we know,”
Regina made a noise in the back of her throat. “Yes, I suppose he should’ve. Though you don’t react to it. Is it because of his … ties to us?”
You shook your head. “No. I think it’s more of the fact that - that his daughter is the saviour and he and Snow White are supposed to have true love,”
There was a displeased sort of look on your face. Regina’s face mirrored it. “You’d think true love wouldn’t fade over time.”
“Everything fades. Maybe it’s not true love anymore.”
“Love. It sounds so childish,” Regina said, pursing her lips. But you could see the hidden emotions within. A stolen childhood. How the two of you craved for having something as simple and childish as love.
Yes, you had each other, but there was always the yearning for something more from someone else. To expand where the love comes, to feel something new and fresh, something that would bring the life back into your heart that had long since stopped beating out a normal rhythm.
“I know,” your sister said, and you looked over at her with a raised eyebrow. “I know that you have … feelings for Charming. That you’d rather he’d be with you instead of Snow. But you’re that much of a good person you’re putting their love before your own. Sometimes I envy you, Y/N,”
You offered a brief half-smile. “I’d much rather not cause a fuss, dear sister. Imagine how scandalous that would be - Charming and myself. How the newspapers would go wild.”
Regina smiled, hand covering her face until it faded away enough. “I don’t think I tell you this much often, Y/N, but you should go out. Do something for yourself. Whether that be you and Charming find something in each other and kindle it, or you just go out and breathe in the air.”
“Or I let it go and make it snow,”
“Or that. Do whatever you want with your magic, just remember it’s got a price.”
You rolled your eyes as you stood up. “I think we both know that well enough, dear sister.”
Regina shook her head a little as you made your way out of the house.
It was cool out, but with a small spell, you felt warmer.
It wasn’t long until you found someone joining you on your walk.
“Hello, Y/N,” Charming said as you shoved your hands into your pockets.
You looked over at him, offering a short wave. “What brings you out here, Charming?”
The expression he had on his face at the name seemed uncomfortable. “Some … troubles at home. They were put into the light. For the first time. I think it’s for the best that they’re known now.”
You nodded, curious as to what it was but didn’t want to intrude. “Things going to be OK at home?” you said instead.
David’s expression deepened, sadness and realisation in his features. “Not really. I’m - I’m filing for divorce.”
That was certainly unexpected. “I’m sorry,”
“It isn’t your fault. It’s mine. I just - I realised that maybe I wasn’t with the person I should be with. And I don’t want to be unfaithful to Snow. So - so filing for divorce seemed to be the best idea.”
“And she’s taking it well?”
You hoped Snow was OK.
David nodded. “She’s - well, she’s not OK, per se - but I think we both knew it was coming. It was definitely long time coming. I think we’ll be better after. We hope to remain friends.”
“That’s good.”
David stopped walking, and you did too, turning on your heel to look back at him. “You haven’t asked who it is I’m leaving my wife for,” he said, taking a few steps forwards so he was closer to you.
You frowned at him. “I figured that it wasn’t any of my business.” You fidgeted with your fingers hidden away in the pockets of your coat. “Besides, you didn’t mention them by name and I guessed it was best I don’t ask.”
He laughed, shaking his head a little. “Of course. Sometimes I forget how good a person you can be, Y/N,” he said, a small smile on his face. David sighed a little before he looked up at you. “It’s you, Y/N. I’m divorcing my wife because I realised that I fell in love with you.”
So. That was a thing now.
“I mean. Uh, thanks?” you asked. “I’ll be honest, David, I don’t even know what to say to that.”
David nodded. “Yeah, I know. I don’t think I would either.”
You pressed your lips together, sighing a little. “I think action would benefit this whole interaction,”
There was a frown on David’s face as he processed the words. And then he realised what you meant.
He was close enough anyway that he didn’t have to move much closer before he was kissing you.
And it - it felt nice. It had a sort of soft warmth to it, a juxtaposition to David’s cold fingers on your face. But it felt whole, like it made things fall into place.
Although you knew it wasn’t true love - couldn’t be right away - it was the start of something. And something was better than nothing. Something could develop into something more.
From the looks of things, both of you wanted something more.
Summary
Request: “The reader keeps asking about David’s brother but he doesn’t want to talk about it. They get into a fight over it and she runs off. He looks for her, apologizes, and eventually tells the story of James.”
Warning
Nope
A/N: I didn’t fully remember what happened to James so I looked it up. So no correcting me.
Co-written by The Silver Iris.
THIS TOOK ME FOREVER I’M SO SORRY.
You had known David for some time now. The two of you had been forced into an arranged marriage, but after your first date, you discovered that you really liked each other, and were excited to unite your respective kingdoms. You knew that David had had a brother named James who was supposed to ascend to the throne, but something had happened to him. David didn’t like talking about it, and you tried not to pry. Every time you even mentioned James’ name, David tensed up and changed the subject. So you tried to leave it alone.
You were on a date with your husband-to-be only a few weeks before the big day. You’d had a picnic in the gracious fields behind his castle home and were now sitting amongst the flowers, lazing about in the sunlight and chatting idly with each other. You were so comfortable with one another that you didn’t need a proper subject to discuss or an activity to partake in. You were content lying in the grass, holding each other’s hands, watching the clouds.
Your wedding was two weeks away and you still didn’t know anything about James. You kept a happy face, but inside you were restless. You wondered why David refused to say anything. You weren’t supposed to have secrets from each other, and James was a sore subject for your fiancé. You tried not to bring it up, because you knew it upset him, but you felt like it was important enough for you to know before you were wed.
“David?” you said, resting your chin on your shoulder to look at him.
“Is everything alright?” he asked.
“Yeah, everything’s perfect,” you assured. “It’s just...why don’t you ever tell me about your brother, James?”
His body visibly stiffened at the mention of his name. “James...I’d rather not speak of him.”
You groaned, sitting up. “David, you know you can tell me anything,” you stressed. “There’s nothing you could say that would make me love you any less.”
He smiled softly. “I know that, and I believe you. It’s just...I’m not ready to talk about it just yet.”
“Not ready?” you repeated incredulously. “David, you say the same thing every time I ask.”
“I’m sorry, but - I’m just not sure how you’d react.”
You looked at him in disbelief. “So that’s what it is? You don’t trust me? David, you proposed to me, and yet you still can’t bring yourself to believe that I love you enough to never think wrong of you? To look over some things?”
“Well excuse me for not wanting to tell you every little thing about my life,” he retorted.
“But that’s just it. He’s not some ‘little thing’, now is he? He’s your brother, your own blood, and you gloss over him like he’s just some pointless vacation you went on. I tell you everything, and it’s not because I’m some open book. I trust you to still love me; I believe in your love. Why can’t you do the same for me?”
“It’s not like that-”
“I think - I think I’m gonna head home,” you decided, packing up your things.
“Y/N, wait,” he pleaded.
“You know where to find me.” You took everything into your arms, running off to the safest place you could think of: the river.
There was a river not far from where you were that you’d always go to at night when you had nightmares. You had shown it to David on your first anniversary, so you knew he knew where you’d be when he felt like he could talk to you.
Tears spilled from your eyes as you wondered how your betrothed could still not trust you. You had been together for so long. Hell, you were getting married in two weeks! You deserved to know about his family. You had told him everything about your life, good and bad, because you trusted him and felt that you could open up. Did David not feel the same for you?
“(y/n)?” David’s voice called softly. You sniffled and wiped your eyes, not wanting him to see the mess you’d become.
“What?” you asked stiffly, keeping your gaze on the shimmering river. “Any more aspects of your life that I don’t deserve to know about?”
You heard him sigh as his feet shuffled closer to you, boots thumping softly on the grass. He plopped down in the field beside you, bringing his knees up and resting his arms on them.
“James was my twin,” he began. “We were born to a poor farmer. King George and his wife wanted a child but couldn’t have one, so they sent Rumplestiltskin to get them one. He came to my parents, telling them that the king was offering a healthy payment for one of us. They couldn’t afford to feed and clothe both of us, so they agreed, and gave them James. He grew up to be a spoiled, arrogant prince, and one day he went off to fight a dragon. Before he went, he was bragging to his friends about how strong he was; a behemoth that he supposedly killed came up behind him and killed him on the spot.
“King George needed an heir, so he sent Rumplestiltskin again. He said that if I became the prince, my mother and her farm would never be poor. I agreed only to save my mother. So I became the prince, though I never felt like I belonged. King George doesn’t exactly treat me like a son. And then some years later, I met the most beautiful, amazing woman I would ever meet.”
“And who’s that?” you murmured softly, not daring to look up at him.
He smiled, a light chuckle escaping him. “Her name is (y/n), and by some stroke of luck, she’s my fiancé.”
You finally looked at him, biting your lip. “I’m sorry I pressured you.”
He shook his head. “No, you were right. We’re getting married; we should have no secrets. It wasn’t that I didn’t trust you or didn’t think you deserved to know. I just… I couldn’t. It hurt.”
You nodded, shuffling closer to him. He draped his arm around your shoulders, holding you to his side. You draped your legs over his lap, resting your head on his chest.
“I love you,” he murmured, kissing the top of your head.

Ella had turned Charming down to go to Castlecoming. In her belief, she didn't like the whole fancy parties and royalty thing. In her eyes, Bridget was the only good royalty in the world. Everyone else was stuck up and mean.
You couldn't blame her for thinking that, though.
As one of Ariel's many siblings, you had a good input on how royalty worked, considering you were royalty of the sea, and your sister married into human royalty. Lots of crowns in this family.
But, after being rejected, Charming knew he'd just have to man up. Ella said it herself.
"Go ask Y/n. We all know you wanna go with them"
"Fine..."
It was not fine. He didn't know how to ask you, nor did he even have the guts. He asked Ella because he still wanted to go with someone, but he was too nervous to ask you of all people.
You didn't think of yourself as unapproachable. You were nice, and you'd never given him a reason to be nervous around you. Well, maybe his infatuation of you created it.
But, with some careful thinking and meticulous planning of his words, he was on his way to ask you to Castlecoming. Now, you knew Ella rejected him, you were passing by as she said no, so you knew that he'd missed his opportunity to go with her.
That's why you didn't believe him when he asked you.
He approaches you with a nervous stature, gripping his skateboard in his hand. You sit by the fountain outside, gazing into the water.
He sits beside you, silent for a moment. You send him a little smile, acknowledging his presence. He rests his skateboard against the fountain, sitting criss-cross next to you.
"What's up?" you ask.
"Not much" he shrugs. "I have a question for you"
You tilt your head. "Yeah?"
"Uhm, would you consider going to Castlecoming with me? You're really nice and cool in general, I think we could have fun-"
"Hold up" you cut him off, blinking in confusion. "Ella rejected you, why are you asking me? I'm not gonna be some backup because you got rejected"
"Oh my gosh" his expression quickly turns to one of embarrassment. "You weren't a backup option, I'm sorry. Ella was my backup option, I was just too nervous to ask you in the first place. I'm sorry"

🛹Young!Prince Charming x Reader Roommates Headcanons🛹
Reader pronouns: Non specified
Pairing: Young!Prince Charming x GN!Reader (platonic)
Plot: Roommate shenanigans and best friends with Charming!
Extra: Idk if you guys know this but Charming is one of my favorite characters from RoR. I was very happy someone requested him :) no one ever requests him lol
- You two are both royalty so you've known of each other but never really connected before personally outside of royal meetings
- It was kind of awkward at first for this reason, despite him trying to be as not awkward as possible.
- After a week or two, you discovered you had a band that you both like and immediately bonded over it.
- You guys don't have any classes together but always end up studying together in the library
- Sometimes the study sessions end with yelling about the right answer and not understanding anything.
- Which gets you kicked out of the library usually.
- Charming isn't very argumentative in general though, if he can sense an argument coming up he immediatley surrenders and just says "Yeah you're right, you're right."
- He's smiling all the time. Like all the time. Sometimes you swear his face is stuck that way
- During winter break one year everyone was snowed in the whole week and no one could go anywhere
- During that snow in, you guys watched a new movie every night, usually bad ones to laugh at.
- "No it was actually kind of good." "Oh my God, Charming. You think every movie is good."
- He sets like 5 alarms every morning that always end up waking you instead of him.
- He always goes out of his way to make you feel better if you had a bad day
- Charming is a raging bisexual, he's just not entirely aware of it.
- You kind of figured he was bisexual when he started randomly saying things about the guys at Merlin
- "Hook has really good hair, the cut fits his face so well." "Do you think Hades works out? He looks like he does" "Morgie is kind of cute... In a puppy kind of way."
- "Do you have a thing for villian boys or something?" To which he immediately denies having anything for anyone.
- BUT After you two became more comfortable with each other he starts talking about liking Ella
- You encourage him to ask her to Castlecoming
- As chill and relaxed as he is outside and with everyone, you've started to realize how dramatic he is. He is a prince afterall.
- "She literally hates me. I brought up Castlecoming and immediately shot the idea down in general. She wants me dead or something."
- Night of Castlecoming you wingman him and he actually gets to dance with Ella
- Once him and Ella get together you always remind them you're the reason they're together.
- He's not very physically affectionate with you but he'll rest his arm on you a lot.
- You guys share a singular braincell.
- He's literally supportive of pretty much every single thing you do no matter what

Pairing: Charming x Male!Reader
Summary: David didn’t know what to do. Regina had done as you asked. Things needed to be put right.
Request: I sent in the request about Charming and it was perfect! Thank you! Maybe when you are not so busy with requests later on, Do a sequel? Like with Regina and the reader talking about how much the reader is in pain and she offers a memory erasing spell but she meddles and puts a flaw in it that true loves kiss can break the spell?
Part One
I may have gotten carried away. Enjoy!
Several days had passed and it hadn’t gotten any easier. The pain felt like it was getting worse each day, and it was becoming insufferable. But you tried your best to keep moving. If David was happy with Snow, then that was that.
“You’re taking it about as well as I suppose you could be,” Regina said as she looked at you. You were wearing a hoodie three sizes too big and sweatpants. She was tempted to offer you some ice cream to help with the pain.
You smiled at her sarcastically and flipped her off. “You’re supposed to be my friend, support me.”
Regina raised an eyebrow at you and sat beside you. “Y/N, I … have an understanding as to what it feels like. I know you’re not showing me all the pain you’re going through. I know you’re awake most nights, unable to sleep.”
“He’s just a guy,” you sighed, exasperated.
“A guy who managed to find his way into your heart.”
You pulled a face. “Regina, take my heart.”
She sighed, pursing her lips as she shook her head at you. “You’re painfully human, Y/N. Heartbreak and heartache is a part of being human. If he’s your true love, he’ll realise what he’s done. If he’s not … you can move on,”
You nodded your head slowly. “This town is so painfully hetero. I think he might’ve exploded from all the stares and whispers about us. It’s probably for the best.” You felt deflated. “Regina … can-can you help me to forget?”
The realisation of what you were asking was clear on her face. “I mean … just the feelings?”
She looked hurt. “I can offer you a memory spell. It’ll take him out of your thoughts and memories, but leave your emotions intact. It’s not like what Rumplestiltskin did to Snow; you’ll not turn cold. You’ll just … forget the parts of your life he was in. In both our world and here.”
You fiddled with the ends of your sleeves. “I just don’t want to hurt them. Snow will be hurt, their family will be. I don’t want to be in the way or do anything to mess with their family. It’s probably best if I forget.”
Regina looked at you for a moment before she sighed. She held up her hand and the magic appeared, flowing around her hands, between her fingers. “Ready?”
“Gramps, you’re an idiot,” Henry said. David looked at him with a slight confusion. “You do know people can have more than one true love, right?”
He, Henry and Emma were sat in Granny’s, drinking hot chocolate and gorging themselves on food. (No, it’s not pity food, Emma lied.)
He nodded. He’d heard the stories. “But it’s only when the first one has died.”
Henry smirked. “Or when the love itself dies.”
Snow had known. She’d known for a while that something had been wrong with David. After confronting him, she’d been somewhat relieved, telling him to go and be happy with you. But he hadn’t. He couldn’t; he still felt like he had to help and support Snow, Emma and Henry.
The three of them knew that David was just too afraid to go looking for the infamous Y/N.
“I don’t know what that storybook tells you -” David started, but Henry was quick to cut him off.
“You were together before you had to become a prince. You never saw him again and thought he was dead until the curse broke here. You’ve been pining over him ever since you saw him alive and well.”
David had no answer to that.
Not that Henry was finished. “He’s a good man. I think he’ll bring out the best in all of us. He’s made us realise that true love doesn’t have to just be between a man and a woman. Gramps, he’s a great guy,”
Emma smirked as someone entered Granny’s. “And he’s right there.”
David froze. It felt like his heart and just tried to lurch out of his chest. It was oddly painful. He watched as you entered, smiled at Ruby as you asked for some takeaway food. She looked at you, concerned, but nodded.
You were doing much better than what David was. It was pretty obvious from his slightly scruffy appearance that he wasn’t doing great without you there with him.
Emma was an observant person. “He’s doing too fine,” she said. “Hey, Y/N!”
“Emma!” David hissed as you turned around and looked at her. Emma ignored her father and walked over to their booth.
“You called?”
“Are you OK?” she asked. You nodded, frowning a little.
“Uh, yeah. Why? Should I be anything but OK?”
Emma frowned slightly. “No, I just wanted to check in. Have a nice day,”
“You too.” You smiled at her and David, and waved at Henry, and then walked back to the counter just as Ruby came out with your order. You paid and left without a glance back.
“Something’s wrong.”
David lasted about thirty minutes before he started searching for you.
It wasn’t that hard to find you. He was aware of your favourite spots in the town. You were sitting on a swing, minding your own business when he came and sat in the one next to you.
“You alright?” you asked, frowning. David could tell from your body language that you were apprehensive.
“Y/N, do you know me?”
You shook your head. You saw the way it broke him. It was painful to look him in the eyes. “Sorry. Did we know each other in our land?”
David nodded, then looked away, a hand going to his face. “Yeah-yeah, we did. We lived next to each other.”
“I’m sorry it’s upsetting you. I’m not sure why I don’t remember a pretty face like yours.”
“Of course you’d say that,” he said, shaking his head a little. “Do you - do you want to maybe go out some time?”
Something about that made your stomach flutter. “Yeah, that’d be nice.”
A few dates later, David was walking you home.
“You don’t have to walk me back,” you said.
David smiled. “What kind of person would I be if I didn’t walk my handsome date home?”
You smiled, shaking your head slightly as he took a hold of your hand. “Sap.”
“Only for you.”
He looked disappointed when you finally got to your house. “I’ll see you tomorrow?” he asked. You nodded, unable to suppress the smile. “Before you go in, I wanted to do something.”
You frowned a little but nodded. David looked nervous, but then leaned forwards and kissed you.
And then all the memories burst in your head. You pulled away, the surge of memories revealing themselves painful.
“Y/N?” David asked. You paused a little before you laughed and wrapped your arms around him.
“Sorry I forgot you,” you said. David’s arms came around you and pulled you close.
“I missed you so much.” David kissed you again, smiling at the knowledge you had come back to him.
