Wait Chef Justin in a Chipotle ad 🔥
Chipotle Ad - created by Moonbot
This ad is one of the most incredible pieces of marketing this year because it takes advantage of a much larger influence than just product placement. It works within a movement. The idea of eating healthier and getting away from processed foods that are damaging to the consumer as well as the provider is hugely powerful. This short three minute video will cause most to stop and think at least for a moment about their choices in meals. It may be a stronger advertisement for better eating than Chipotle but I guarantee more people will talk about this ad than any McDonald's commercial this year. Great job on all fronts.
Chipotle’s Scarecrow Ad: Greenwashing or Subtle Push for a Plant-Based Diet? by Jo Tyler
"Could a corporation which profits from selling animal flesh really be sending a subtle (and truthful) message that the best solution to animal cruelty and the environmental crisis is to adopt a plant-based diet? After all, the company has made encouraging moves to offer more veg-friendly options. Could the absence of animals in the idealized ending be a sign that Chipotle is trying to distance themselves not only from factory farming, but from all forms of animal agriculture?
Or is this just another attempt to convince increasingly concerned and informed consumers that the animal products sold at Chipotle are obtained “humanely” and “sustainably”? Positioning themselves as the good guys in order to increase profits and attract “conscientious carnivores”? Is the decision to omit visual reference to animals or animal-based foods in the video’s solution an attempt to encourage us to forget they are there? (Chicken tacos grow on vines, don’t they?)
Is Chipotle’s Scarecrow ad just a masterful bait and switch? A “deceptive attempt to appropriate the morality of vegetarianism and ascribe it to meat-based business” as this interesting article suggests?
One thing is for sure, The Scarecrow has hit a nerve."
There's a parody of the video by Funny or Die on the link.
I saw this Ad when it first came out but I just came across it again tonight and I felt like it would be good to share here with you all. If you have not seen it yet it is definitely worth a watch. How healthy Chipotle's food really is, is debatable but the message they send in this ad is true and good. - Matt
Can't stop watching this beautifully haunting video of the reality of Factory Farming in this chilling dystopia... Maybe it's Fiona Apple's amazing voice...maybe it's because it truly communicates the reality of the food system in America.
Chipotle Ad. Have to give snaps to Chipotle for putting out a creative ad with a message behind it. In a sea of same add tactics and formulaic delivery it's nice to see one that uses animation, art and creativity. Not every ad has to have happy bursting families and children enjoying the shit corporations are trying to sell them.
Back to Basics: Chipotle's Commercial Gets Airtime During the Grammy's!
I posted months ago about the Chipotle commercial, which supports going back to basics and sustainable farming. And tonight, that awesome commercial actually had national airtime during the Grammy's!! That is so exciting!!
I love that commercial and everything it stands for. I only hope that the people watching actually understood the strong message, not just in regards to Chipotle, but for all aspects of the farming and food industries.
