Shout out to those who became disabled later on in life. Shout out to those who lived just long enough to know what being able bodied was like before having it snatched away from them. shout out to those who could run, jump, dance, do all kinds and now cant. Shout out to those who feel like part of themselves died when they became disabled. Shout out to those who are mourning for their body. Shout out to those who feel as if their body has become a prison. Shout out to those who feel ugly because you rely on wheelchairs, walkers, canes etc. Shout out to those who put on weight when they became disabled and now deal with people saying if you only lost a little weight, you would feel better. You're not broken. You're not worthless because you're ill. You're not worthless because you can't do the things you used to be able to do. Its gonna be okay. I understand. I feel the same. But we can still have wonderful, magical lives. We are amazing.
I blinged up my walking stick...😇😅
I was so fed up with a plain walking stick that didn’t reflect my personality ! 💎
While using this stick, I have noticed that people find it a lot easier to approach me. They ask me if I decorated it myself and how many diamanté’s are on it (There is 6000) 😅 I also don’t get the “Why do you use a stick?” Question right away, which is refreshing although I don’t mind educating people about my complex conditions when they ask😇.
It has also improved my confidence when going out 😄💁🏻♀️ I would always think / worry that people were staring at me because I’m a young person with a stick but now I know they’re obviously staring at the stick because it’s amazing ASF.
Looking much better than I feel today
Had the rare chance to go out over the weekend, so I took the opportunity to dress up! I wanted to channel a chocolate-covered strawberry with this coord.

I got diagnosed with sleep apnea y’all. It’ll be a bit before insurance approves a machine for me but hopefully a cpap will help.
I dress Like This™️ to put the focus on me as a person instead of me as the spectacle society makes of my disability.
It was my first day of classes yesterday!
It was a lot more painful/ energy-taking than I had expected b/c of my foot injury, so no IDs from then (or probably the next few days) :// But hey, this is the only major pain that I’ve had in awhile that will be temporary! I will get better! I’m getting better every day! Things are looking up! 😊
Sometimes the weirdest things keep you positive when you’re a chronically cute spoonie lol. ❤️ Hope you all are staying positive when you can too! 💜
