Phichit and Chris are participating in the annual omega/alpha run.  At the run, when an omega smells an acceptable mate they run from them and the alpha must catch them. If they are caught and the omega goes into heat then the alpha and omega are soulmates.  If the omega doesn't go into heat then they are merely compatible. Will Phichit and Chris find their soulmates at this year's run?

I don’t know if this has been done yet or not, but I was rewatching High School Musical- an actual masterpiece btw if you haven’t seen it yet and if you have, then you agree with me- and I was struck by the though of a High School Musical Yuri!! On Ice AU so here are some of my ideas:

Yuuri Katsuki would obviously be the Gabriella Montez of the movie- crazy smart, adorable, shy and more than a little reluctant to fall into the cliche high school narrative

Viktor Nikiforov would be the titular Troy Bolton, star on the court and the stage but struggling to find his place in both while his heart has been completely captured by the beautiful stranger at the New Years party

Phichit Chulanont would, of course, be Yuuri’s best friend, Taylor McKessie, hardworking, determined and devoted to his best friend, he is also the unrivaled SGA president

Christophe Giacometti would be Chad Danforth, Troy (Viktor’s) childhood BFF who, despite all the hearts he has stolen, he has yet to capture the heart of the one he wants the most...

Also Yuri P would be Sharpay Evans

I imange that instead of taking place in Albuquerque, New Mexico this AU would take place in Detroit also please watch high school musical if you haven’t already, it’s amazing

I’ve come to realize I do really like Phichimetti as a ship, even if there’s not much “””support””” for it in the show, because I love both of those characters so much, like seeing them get love in fanfiction, and they’re both kind of fun and silly in their own ways and it would be interesting to see how they’d mesh together. I like seeing how fic writers write them together. 

It’s the shallowest reason to be into something, but whatever. But I overall prefer Chris with his in-show boyfriend and Phichit I think I would rather see get with someone who’s not part of the core skater cast.

5. Favorite rarepair

I’m going under the assumption that SaraMila is not technically a rarepair, so I’d have to go with Chulametti :) I LOVE CHULAMETTI OH GOSH. I have a fic for them but I want to write so much more. Like, have you ever considered...

-Chris I think is actually pretty reserved with his feelings, and Phichit is great at reading people and coming into their space in a way that’s genuine and gentle, so I AM A FAN

-SOCIAL MEDIA ROMANCE, if they got together both Twitter and Instagram would explode

-Phichit and a couple of the other younger skaters are actually shy about talking to the older generation (goes more for Leo and Guang-Hong, but whatevs) so IMAGINE PHICHIT BEIN KINDA SHY BUT HE TOTALLY LIKES HIM AND IS TRYING TO BE A SUNSHINE CHILD AT THE SAME TIME

I could make twenty more bullet points, but I’m going to stop myself and just write fic instead. Ahem. OR INSTEAD

-Phichit takes all the pictures and selfies and Chris likes having pictures taken and likes selfies. SO they’re a match! I think Saniika did a NSFW spin on this bullet point of Chulametti.

-I love how opposite they are in their careers! Phichit is a rising star and the first from his country to be a skater, while Christophe is an established veteran in a country that presents pretty well at Winter Olympics (although I guess they only have 3 medals from figure skating in our universe, but whatever). TROPICAL VS SNOWY SNOW, things are heatin up and gettin.... chill. Netflix and chill. I just think they’d have a lot of inspiration for each other.

-Also their best friends are Viktor and Yuuri and I need them to all go out on dates together. Ahem. Okay, that’s enough bullet points.
