If you hate the treatment Andromeda receives purely because she was one of the earliest examples of "damsel in distress" then you better not search "Andromeda Complex". It's similar with the Cinderella Complex, and in both cases the one who came up with the term misunderstood and/or simplified the eponym character.
God this is… so bad, but it goes to show that whenever ppl make a *insert Greek myth character* complex, 100% of the type they have zero understanding of said character, just look at the Oedipus complex.
This also just REEKS of individualism, literally no woman ever “consciously or unconsciously waiting for a male savior” wanting ppl to help you is not a fucking complex it’s normal human behavior. Also… Andromeda waited patiently for a savior MY ASS, she wouldn’t be chained up if she wasn’t struggling to escape, not to mention that in Euripides Andromeda (which I’ve said before, should be REQUIRED reading) she cries and bemoans her fate.
