Cishet "Discourse":

Cishet is a trans term, coined by and intended for the usage of trans people (particularly transhets) to describe trans experiences.

Cishet is the same as cisallohet. It means 100% cis and 100% het. It does not mean cis, het and ace; nor cis, het and aro; nor cis aroace and especially not "I think they look relatively straight, therefore they are".

Insisting that a-specs can be cishet is a deliberate misuse of a trans term, which is as transphobic as it is aphobic.

The Trans Community is sick and tired of cis people weaponising our terms against other queer people. Stop doing it!

People who say aroaces are cishet are fucking WILD. seriously, why the hell are you throwing the rest of the community under the bus by trying to tell us that being het and cis are the default?? All that’s gonna do is make more people who are still coming to terms w/ their own identifies and place in the community, aro/ace or otherwise, feel broken and shit????? And it’s also ruined the use of cishet by people who actually fucking mean something when they say it.

If you really, sincerely want to protect the LGBTQ+ community, you better actually fucking protect the people in it then instead of tearing us all apart. Exclusionism doesn’t have a place in the LGBTQ+ community. It never has, and never will.
