Citlalli
Here, a nude woman stands at the edge of a pool. She is naked, to display her purity, and to reveal that she feels no shame. She pours two jugs of liquids out. One is white and the other black, symbolising her conscious and unconscious self. The black container pours forth water, which falls in five rivulets, symbolising the five senses, and it falls upon a tree, to nourish it with her gift of self and creativity. The other pours forth blood, which falls into the river. This symbolises Yollia, her heart-energy, and the strength of sacrifice. She stands with one foot on the water, to represent her intuition, and the other on the edge of the pool, on the land, for she possesses common sense and is able to be both grounded and imaginative. Above her is a great star, and about it four others. These are painted five colors; the colours of the four directions, plus the center, and symbolise the totality of the night sky. At the side grows a great tree, which fills the sky with its branches. this tree is nourished by a heart, at the bottom corner, from whose mouth a stream of blood flows which fills its trunk. This symbolises sacrifice, and the great nourishing strength of Yollia. The tree is also nourished by the water which she pours. From the tree grow fragrant blossoms, and birds flit in its branches. Its boughs fill the night sky with fragrance of flowers and the songs of birds, a tree brought into being and nourished by the strength, intuition, and will of the woman Citlalli, the Star.
Here, the woman has found balance between her intuition and her common sense. She has learned to pursue ideals without sacrificing practicality, and in so doing nourish the tree which fills the cosmos with her dreams.
