today I was upset because I wanted to be called iz. It was a huge deal to everyone I was around. I put it on my name tag what the hell. I was called a beautiful woman and all I could think was i'm not a woman.. I'm a person. I really wanted to break the circle and shout stop calling me isabel, call me iz, i'm not a woman nor am I a man. I'm a person. I don't know why this bothers me and no one is understanding but this is what was truly wrong today. I wasn't upset at my vulnerability in the trust circle when I cried.. I cried because I wasn't okay with being called a woman. I wasn't okay with everyone questioning my name as iz. I am not okay with small minded older people that don't understand modern world gender terms. I shouldn't have to explain my gender fluidity scale. It just is.. call me iz.
