Hello Colon prep my old friiiend! About time to do my (what seems to be yearly colonoscopy).

But it’s been bumped to one every 5 years…. But since my GI tract is trash they want me to do a friggin 2 day purge 2 months before my colonoscopy so basically I get to do 2 colon preps. Which is the worst part of these procedures. I hate this stuff soooooooooo much. Not the results of drinking it, just drinking it. Ugggh it tastes like pool water, I HATTTTTE IT.

Suprep is so awful tasting. I was involuntarily shuddering trying to get it down and was met with a wave of nausea trying to keep it down. The countdown from here awaits..

Preparation and Elimination

Today is the day. It’s time to start the colon prep. This is my first time for a colonoscopy and I am nervous. I am sharing my experience for anyone else who might be having their “first time”. Shout out to my wonderful partner Kaydee, who took me care of me the last few days, listened to me complain about my bowel prep, drove me to my appointment and got me food afterwards (!!!!), and is now relaxing with me while we work on a puzzle and watch old Lizzie McGuire episodes! I’ll write a post on the results of my procedures (though there weren’t really any today tbh).

Just wanted to give a shoutout to my love!

Sorry for giving you all a play by play of my experience, but it's my blog and it's what's happening in my life currently, so I figure why not??

It sucks, but most people will have to experience prep for a colonoscopy some time or another in their life, so I might as well be honest about it.
