Go Copper. 🤔
This transgender awareness week, be very aware. There are many of us, and any copper pipe you leave laying around is at risk.
But worry not! Call me, the copper guard! I'll keep all of your deliciously shiny copper safe and sound from any trans person looking for cash. And I don't even charge a dime! Oh, and don't worry about the safety, I am a certified professional copper guardian, and I will definitely not eat your copper.
If you need copper stored fast and secure, just call 555-COP-EATR!
Drip 💧
In Southern California water is precious, I fixed this leak and it only cost me $1.30 👍🏼 but of course... I had to take a picture of it . Part of the Lock Down adventure 😷 lol
DIY copper pipe utensil rack- neat idea.
The Kitchn
It’s quick PC mod time!
This time I’m actually working on my own PC.
About two months ago, I had saved up some money to buy a second GPU for my main render PC. I had a GTX 1060 6gb and wanted to get another one because Blender (the main 3D tool I use) can take advantage of another GPU for rendering images.
When the card came yesterday, I’d decided to take apart my PC, clean it, and complete some mods I’d been meaning to get around to.
The first few pictures just show me disassembling and cleaning the PC. The second set of pictures show me building a power supply shroud to cover up all the extra cables and neaten up the build. I picked up some sheet metal from Home Depot, then bent it on my metal brake and used tin snips to cut it down to size. Then I primed and painted it matte black.
This morning I thought of adding spiffy stripes with some metallic blue paint I’ve had for years, so I marked out areas for the stripes with painter’s tape and spray-painted them in.
I also wanted to run the GPU power through a copper pipe for a cool look. So I de-pinned the molex connectors and ran the cables through the pipe, then re-assembled the connectors and plugged em’ in.
The last picture shows the machine assembled and running. I have 2x the render speed in Blender now, so I’m super happy with this upgrade.
For those who are interested in seeing what I make with this machine, head over to my other blog here...

Copper-Pipe Log Cart
Ferrying firewood to the hearth just got a lot easier with this durable cart. A sturdy plywood base rests on an open framework of copper pipes that makes loading logs a cinch. The addition of casters allows for smooth transport. It’s a good way to keep smaller cuts dry and stacked in an orderly manner, and the copper is elegant enough to store hearthside even when a fire isn’t blazing.
