2/22/22 but make it ON A TUESDAY

  If this doesn’t excite you I don’t know what else would. This day means big transformations are underway, not to mention Pluto is in its first return in a very long time. Many people speculate that Pluto represents transformations and change. It will be at the EXACT placement it was at the VERY FIRST START of the US. This means it’s finally our time you guys, for all of us spiritual folks. The ones who are able to see what’s truly going on. Please, tomorrow while you’re manifesting... Don’t forget to add something for all of mankind, if you’d like some examples here you go: 

1) Manifest that all lies and secrets of the world will soon come to light 

2)  Manifest all facts, history, and information that has been stripped from all of mankind shall be returned 

3) Manifest that all spiritual souls out there are able to not only keep strong, but are able to keep the light by their sides in such a dark time. Manifest that everyone with pure hearts will ascend into the new world. 

  The elite do not want the general population to know about just how important days like this “twos day” can be. It has the potential for great change and a major shift. I make these posts in hopes that I’m either able to reach at least ONE unenlightened soul, or for those that already know what’s going on, to be that source of validation. I know how it feels... I find myself constantly questioning myself and my sanity these days. Maybe I am a little crazy but hey .. What great philosopher from years ago do we know of that wasn't a bit off? 

  In my next post I'll be talking a bit about the works of Dolores Cannon a past life regression hypnotherapist who I consider myself lucky to have stumbled across on this spiritual journey of mine. Everything she says is so validating to me.

También la lluvia (2010)

How "También la lluvia" overcomes racial stereotypes, white saviourism and victimized natives

I had to watch this movie for my Spanish class and I was, honestly, pleasantly surprised. This may be due to the fact that most movies we watched in class were cheaply made and awfully written, full of cliché and cringe. But even apart from that, the movie "Tambén la lluvia, directed by Icíar Bollaín, manages to present the topic of colonialism and the lives and struggles of natives in a surprisingly intelligent way.

The movie revolves around a film crew filming a movie about the arrival of European settlers in South America and their brutality towards the natives. However, during the filming, the locals' protests against the privatization of their wells and water supplies escalate.

The mistake many movies like this make is falling back into storylines of white saviourism. This movie not only addresses the exploitation of natives and the struggle between them and the government or companies, but also avoids presenting it's main characters as Jesus-like liberators of the suppressed natives.

Both the film crew, which include the director Sebastián (Gael García Bernal) and his producer Costa (Luis Tosar), as well as the natives, represented mainly by Daniel (Juan Carlos Aduviri), have their own objectives, independent from cliché roles.

Although Sebastián wants to depict the brutality and the injustice towards the natives by the colonizers in his movie, when similar injustice happens right before his eyes he still prioritizes his movie over helping them. His behaviour is not without flaws, just like for example the behaviour of Daniel, who prompts his village to taking part in violent protests.

What makes this movie so special is the simple dramaturgical act of giving the native main characters an active role when fighting for their rights, in contrast to the classic passive, suppressed roles. The film crew on the other hand assumes a more passive position, trying to continue their path of filming their movie as planned.

This role reversal, as well as the absence of white saviourism, balances out the disrupted relationship between natives and non-natives that is often depicted in stories of that sort. Thus, the movie presents the protagonists as being equal, eliminating any patriarchal elements. In the end, Costa and Daniel have formed actual ties of friendship, apart from their assigned roles. By connecting them, the actual antagonist becomes clear: the corrupt state. Neither Daniel nor Costa can beat that alone.

Hi, I don't know how much the world know about it but these photos are from my country, Perú. Three days ago the Congress made a coup d'etat, they say it is constitutional but the majority of the people don't agree with it.

In these tree days they've already tried to destroy laws that ensures the quality in higher education and named as prime minister a man who is openly misogynistic, racist and homophobic. We are scared about what other things they will do just to satisfy their own interests, we are scared that they will cancel next elections using covid as an excuse.

People all over the country is protesting but they are facing police brutality and the Congress is protecting police.

Three countries in Latin America has accepted this illegitimate government, we just want the world to know. Youth of Peru is fighting back.
