So because of Johnny Depp getting fired as Grindlewald, COVID, and J.K.‘s tomfoolery, I’m convinced that the “Fantastic Beasts” movies will never be completed.
And at this point, I dont really care. Except for one thing.
If they aren’t finished, all I want from Rowling...ALL I want, is for her to just tell us who Credence is related to.
Last year, I got to see Dan Fogler at our local con (and met him, he was very sweet). Someone asked him who Credence was actually related to. And he unintentionally gave a subtle message by desperately trying to convince us that he was a Dumbledore. So...Credence is obviously not a Dumbledore.
I believe Credence is a Prince. I will die on this hill. He looks a lot like Snape and when you think about it, we know almost everything about the Blacks and Dumbledores (if counting the Wizarding World website) so he can’t really fit without SERIOUSLY breaking canon (I’m not upset about the McGonagall thing, women lie about their age. It happens.). But we know next to NOTHING about the Prince family. Credence is also very powerful and and so is Snape (arguably the second most powerful wizard in HP, imo). Snape and Dumbledore are two of the main reasons Voldemort was defeated and we know NOTHING about Snape’s family (we also know too much about the Potters for Credence to be related to Harry, also found on the Wizarding World website).
And Snape is one of the MAIN characters of HP. It would be weird if his own heritage was just omitted since we’re learning about the LeStranges and other Death Eaters.
So I just wanna hear those words- “Credence is a Prince.” I will be satisfied. I need this, y’all. You have no idea.
