Day 3 of 12 Days of Spoons: Medication This is what a week’s work of medication and supplements looks like for me. Medications include Imuran and Celexa. Supplements include Turmeric, Vitamin C, Multi-Vitamins, Calcium, & Probiotics. Not pictured is my Stelara injections every 8 weeks. Whew. Not "allowed" to treat my anemia

I've been anemic for like 6 years now. Went to a hematologist for a year until they figured out I had Crohn's. My GI has ALWAYS controlled my anemia since then. ALWAYS. Today I find out my GI is referring me to a hematologist to treat my anemia and they can't put in for my iron infusions. Is this complete bullshit and they're just trying to pawn me off? I'm pissed cause we all know it takes a long time to get in with a specialist!! Not to mention I have the symptoms NOW. I can't get outta bed NOW. I'm unable to focus or get things done NOW. What the heck?!?

I know my body, dammit

I've been calling my GI for about a week trying to explain that I can tell my iron is low and I'm in need of an infusion. My normal doctor is out so I've been dealing with her PA. Well her PA finally gave me labs, and guess what?!? My iron is low. GO FIGURE. So I call today to see if they set up my infusions and instead the PA prescribed me iron pills. After explaining that iron pills of all kinds make me extremely sick to multiple people, I FINALLY got the order put in for the infusions. If they would of just listened to me the first time, I would of been done and feeling better by now. END RANT.

I'm going to admit... I'm wearing a dress to work today, not because I want to be cute or girly, because I couldn't fathom having pants on. I'm bloated, I'm cranky, and I'm exhausted.
