New survival build of mine I am making a underground area under one of my trees to have small farms for things like glow berries.
I like building trees.
Bald Cypress, suggested by @doodlebuglesbian.
An amazing suggestion - bald cypress happens to be one of my favorite trees. A common component of the swamps in the southeastern USA, this tree is unique in a number of ways.
Firstly, they’re one of a small number of deciduous conifers; in other words their needles fall off in winter.
They also form “cypress knees,” which can be seen rising above the water and swampland that they inhabit. The purpose of these knees is not fully understood. They may provide oxygen to the roots or anchor the trees in place, giving them resistance to storms, such as hurricanes, which are not uncommon where they live.
All around, incredibly cool trees.
Endgate Village — the Ironwood Tree
The central feature of Endgate (above ground, anyways) is the Ironwood Tree, a custom tree made from acacia wood blocks, from which springs a fountain. Endgate’s wealth comes from their exclusive access to and trading with acacia wood, so the Ironwood Tree commemorates that.
