Soooo funny to me that people will complain soooo much about how Sera treats a elven Inquisitor but they’re over here romancing Cullen (who seemly won’t romance anyone taller or much shorter than him since he will only romance an elf /human) and Solas (who will only romance an elven Inquisitor because he flat out doesn’t believe other races are like… real people)
Sera at least tries lmao she’s awkward and mean and can utterly fail but she doesn’t let her love interest’s race factor into her flat out refusing to love them.

No I will not debate on these but Ill be happy to elaborate if you want.
There’s many different types of Dragon Age fans that annoy the hell out of me but the ones that go out of their way to avoid thinking about how elven society (both the Dalish and in the alienage) might possibly have had negative impacts on elven characters.
Minaeve? Has to lying about her clan abandoning her due to having to many mages. She HAS to be wrong somehow because clearly the Dalish would have either killed her if abandoned her or would have done more to help her get to town. The fact that makes total sense for the Dalish to fear having too many mages (because if humans found out they’d be attacked by Templars for sure) or not want to send hunters with her to town (due to Dalish hunters getting attacked by humans regularly) is not important at all. What’s important is that the Dalish can’t do anything wrong whatsoever.
Sera’s problems with other elves is more complicated but hey, let’s never give her the benefit of the doubt by talking about how in Alienage culture she would have never been considered an adult because she is a lesbian and would never marry a man. Considering what we saw in DAO/DA2 she would have been an outsider from both alienage and Dalish cultures but she doesn’t know how to talk about it without being a little mean so whatever fuck her I guess.
