I feel like Dan is such a misunderstood character🤔
I've been replaying Duskwood and noticed that Dan, despite the rather extraordinary side he's showing, also shows that he cares about other characters on several occasions. For example when Cleo's mom pursuaded his mom to part-take in the forest search. Dan was so upset and argued that he is worried because his mom has knee problems and has difficulties walking.
He also helped Thomas in a situation Dan couldn't have cared less about since it didn't involve him. Nevertheless, he still decided to help Thomas out, even if it cost him a decent amount of money.
There are also some other occasions I forgot right now, but I'm sure you get the picture😅💕
In conclusion: Dan is the dad-friend of the group, hard on the outside, soft and squishy on the inside🤭
Yes, I agree completely. When everyone else is too upset or emotional Dan is the one who says 'This is not a good idea'

Just like in Episode 8: That he just approached Jake to tell him that Dan won’t just leave him alone and demand that Jake tell us about Hannah’s kidnapping.

I think Dan is just very careful and pays more attention to things than others do. Even though he spoke ill of his friends, his actions show that he cares and and worries about the others.
Dan is really like the dad of the group. The one who makes fun with but at the same time ensures that not everyone only does stuff that is not good in the end.
I really like Dan. He may be a little grumpy at times and maybe a little rough, but he’s still nice and if you get along better with him, you see it. 🥰
Just like when MC writes with him in the privat chat and he asks if we listened to his advice, then we can say "Are you worried about me?" and Dan says "I’m a gentleman (with a female character)"I can’t just watch a lady in danger" (approximate translation)
I think Dan just has the bad luck that people judge him very quickly, which is why he prefers to keep everyone off his back.
